Holy shet this sounds so much more unhinged and chaotic that the original BTB, all of the deep piano notes thumping on in the background, the unholy violin playing on endlessly, The trumpets and trombones carrying out the chaos, the almost seamless but just noticeable point where the song repeats. It's perfect.

This feels so much more malicious than BTB, each punch of the strings feels like being stabbed. If BTB felt like it was mocking you, this feels like being physically assaulted.

Fun fact:This probably is meant to represent the caretaker being really mad, Sometimes people with dementia can get really aggressive and swear because they don't remember proper manners, So this is possibly what this means.

@@a_randomiz3r I know I’m half a year late on this, but I think this is actually supposed to be the Caretaker having a burst of happiness because they forget what they were worrying about.
I say this because the end of Stage 2 and the beginning of Stage 3 has drastic changes in their demeanor. Notice how E1 is way more happy sounding than D5.

If you didn't already know, The Caretaker had unreleased tracks air in a BBC Radio 6 interview in 2011 after AEBBTW came out. Among the highlights are an early version of the Hell Sirens, and an alternate version of Camaraderie at Arms Length which this cover I'm pretty sure borrows.
