I am so glad you guys got a chance to document all of this, I know it’s breaking entry but everyone is curious and would like to know what it looked like in its abandoned state. Well done guys and thank you 😊 wonderful memories of this place, it opened when I was born and spent every year there until it first shut in 2013. Memories ❤
I worked there when it first opened in 93 as a lifeguard then on the maintenance side looking after the water and chemicals, due to the humidity, moisture would attack paint work so was like painting the Forth Bridge...never ending. Some great memories, great staff let down by greedy management.
considering its been shut for a few years now, they've done a really good job of preserving the place. the paint flaking was happening years before it closed down, and other than a bit of dirt and the slides being covered, its not too different to the day it closed really
I only remember bits of it i loved it wish it would reopen i last went about 2012 i was only 14 then all good places have shut down now i loved temple park aswel
I was there in 1997 & 1998 during a visit wilst on a PGL holiday I really enjoyed wet "n" wild as it was one of my favourite places to visit. Also visited Alton Towers and Drayton Manor Park as long with other places and have wonderful memories of my summer/school holidays in the UK.
The last time I went we were the only people there, they were on their last legs anyway. Everything was almost out of order. It will be something that’s missed.
I remember I couldn't believe something that good was opening in Shields. Felt like a really optimistic time. Great memories of feeling brave because I'd go down all of the biggest slides. The Tornado would give you a major wedgie. 😆 Feel sad for today's kids.
Entry was through a hole which has since been closed up. Thank you for watching. Follow us for more local videos... we are just a growing channel so any follow is appreciated!

I don’t see the problem with exploring abandoned places, provided you leave it as it was when you entered. Vandals ruin it all
Went there multiple times as a kid! Massive part of my child hood, loved it! The walk from Meadow Well metro station was intense 😂
Some great childhood memories and such a shame its not open anymore! Follow us for more local videos ▶🍿

Spent many a fun weekend here as a teenager. So sad to see it like this. The kids have nothing now 😢 thanks for the footage ❤
And now sadly its been demolished. An absolute ICON of the north east and should have been saved!!
So sad to see the state of the place these days. I remember when it first opened, was a fantastic place back then!
Yeah it really is so sad as could be a real prize of the North East for the kids. Don’t forget to follow our channel for more local videos 🍿▶
