Caught him in Bergen around 2018 or so, not sure. But he was HUGE! and was a bit worried. That kind of obesity, well it's fatal in the end. Will have to shed a few kg myself. RIP one of a kind!
Well not sure when I saw him, but reacted. The heart just can't sustain that kind of pressure from such a huge body. So all you yanquis out there eating McD's or the KFC, and feeding your kids with the same, think about it! He died pretty young after all. He would have lived 20 years longer with a decent diet.
This set put me on cloud 9. So glad I made it. And that they did such a great job filming it.
Just unbelievable so calm so confident these guys. Unreal the team work mind blowing. I mean just how far can you go ??

Joey in a very JimmySmithian mood, an excellent performance by this superhero of the Hammond jazz scene. I'm missing him madly...

East of the Sun and West of the Moon! One of the greatest squabbles ever recorded by Jack McDuff, here taken way beyond the moon.
Amazing trío 😲
Joey and the boys having a good time. Enjoyed the music and the vibe coming off these guys as they play together.
Thank you for posting... I don't miss anything from DeFrancesco if I can
it gets quickly from an ordinary jazz band to an extraordinary jazz band
Joey D was a legend!
ohhh this great guitar solo!!!!!
He's very very good too. Seems easy but requires so much right hand control to stay in time.

Love this! Thank you, Maestro and friends!
