My wife and I were fortunate to have visited Kedarnath in 2008. The temple and its surroundings were truly amazing in their location of utmost beauty and generated utter joy and a sense of being in a holy place that we still dearly hold in our memories. Our salutations to Lord Kedarnath. This presentation by Swamiji beautifully and vividly describes the beauty and sanctity of the abode of Lord Kedarnath. Our thousand thanks to Swamiji for taking us back there in his vivid narration.
My biggest and most heartfelt thanks to you Sri Swami Tadatmananda and to the crew I know videos like these takes to create. Thanks to you all! You're videos range from clarifying, to instructional, to inquisitive, to deeply inspiring and moving. It means more than you can possibly know to someone like myself, struggling to understand the various aspects of Vedantic, yogic, Samkhyā and other philosophies, especially as I have no Guru and not a very good idea where to even begin such a search for one, if I'm even ready for that. But to have your videos there to inspire me, to help me in understanding various aspects of Vedantic logic and reasoning, and even just general terms or pronunciations that are to find elsewhere online. It's one thing to read about a subject, it's another to truly understand it. For example, I've read through many hymns of the RigVeda, I've listened to Audio readings of most of not all of the 108 most prominent Upanishads, multiple times for many, especially the Principal Upanishads. I've read 6 books of the Shiva Purana, read the Shiva Samhita because I have taken to Yogic Philosophy probably the most, with Advaitta a close second despite the yawning differences in certain aspects of the two philosophies. Still, the way I see it, I have to understand a broad range of beliefs before I can decide what feels right to me. I've also listened on audio to The Ramayana, 50 hours of listening or more. I've read 5 books in to the Devi Bhagavata Purana. I've begun listening to the Mahabharata. And I've listened to the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and have bought many many many more books, paperback and Audio such as Vasistha's Yoga and others. I read or listen to one thing for a few hours, and switch to another for few more, and as I read or listen and come across new words in Sanskrit or a new concept I don't yet understand, I stop right where I'm at and research the topics thoroughly. Or as thoroughly as I can within the confines of my room during this Covid-19 Lockdown, particularly here in New Orleans. Though I saw you're located in Somerset NJ, not far from where I grew up in Asbury Park and Ocean Township, where I still have family. I visit from time to time when I can, and might do so this year if possible. So if I do get the opportunity I truly hope one day to meet you and thank you in person. Well, at least from six feet away! It would really be wonderful to have that opportunity and I hope I get the chance sooner rather than later. I really, can express how much value I really have gotten so far and I've only watched perhaps 11 videos? So I just wanted to let you know how impactful your work has been to at least one seeker of Knowledge in Louisiana, in many tough situations where every little piece of knowledge gained can mean the world to me. So again thank you. Om Namah Shivaye!
My humble Pranams at your lotus feet swamiji. Being in South India I still have not visited the place n now with my joint pains I dread going out, but could see thru your eyes vividly the kedarnathji. Thank you once again. Bless me to attain Jeevanmukti in this very birth.
I listen everyday your teaching, and I look for more and more everyday. Thank you for all the knowledge that you have pass to us. I hope soon my meditation will lead me to the one and only Atma.
True, When we wakeup in morning first thing to do is to Charan sparsh bow to Bhu Devi earth then put first step on earth as respect, this we taught in family and school 🙏🙏
Namaskaram Maharaj Ji. How beautifully you brought out the explanation of Supreme Reality and compared to KedarNath Ji. I felt true happiness listening to these words. Thank you so much.Pranaam.
An illuminating video; complex and subtle concepts explained so simply and yet so deeply. Gratitude to the Swami jee. I had occasion to listen to many other videos; effect had been similar. 🙏
It is as if the flood waters cleaned the dross from around the temple to preserve its holiness. I will be in Rishikesh in January but I will not have the opportunity to see it this time. Thank you for sharing the adventure. Namaskar.
Pranaam, some questions at 4:00 if the shivaliga is to remind formlessness of god, while it itself means form. kindly elaborate, share what exactly is shivalinga, yoni, nandi bull and other symbols of shiva, such as half moon, damru, snake, water(ganga)...
Shivalinga is called the same because it is the form of the entire universe Brahman is not separate from the universe the universe is of Brahman , you can check out swami sarvapriyananda on asparsh yoga, that will make you understand what is the relation between form and the formless , and as far as shivalinga is concerned, Shiva tattva is vyapak, vibho ,dwaithin , and in turn vishwamurti , the shivalinga is only important because it is a form which is non particular , Shiva linga does not mean a form of Shiva , because Shiva by its very definition is vibho , vyapak , dwaithin so it's chinh has to be vishwamurti which is non particular and that is the context based on which it is always United with Shakti because we are depicting vishwamurti we are depicting a it as an interaction a dynamic interaction of Shiva and Shakti whereas when samhar happens it traces back to static Union of the same ..... The snake is not a snake it is nagendra Vasuki , it is the symbol of Kundalini tattva , and Kundalini tatva is the very force which changes your perception shift your paradigm to to The reality where there is no difference between anything there is no such thing as some other Brahman than the world or some other world which is of Brahman because whatever is, is Brahman , the very transience between ignorance and realisation is the Kundalini that is where it is and the apara dimension of nagendra basuki is rahasyavadi gyana , siddhis, mantra Shakti as it is coiled in the vishuddhi where the paravakya of Mahadev is , shastra Gyan , vaidya Gyan , akasha tatva , all the secrets of tantra , nandi is not a bull at face value it is nandikeshwar or according to the nath sampradaya nandi nath , he presents all the gunas that a spiritual aspirant should have , Hatha yoga as his body is stable, pratyahar, bhuta shuddhi, samyama , dhiraj , ability of reaching out to Grace , spiritual motivation, capability of tyaga, nishkama karma , Bala , samarpan bhav , sadbuddhi , absolute capability and power over the five mahakosh , ...... Chandra is Soma or paramadanda , it is the Ananda may mahakosh , vibhuti the very name means that which is beyond bhuta that which is beyond bhuta thus vibhu and nirgun !!!.... All these things are interconnected and they are an effort of natya ved to explain you param tatva !!!
The flood itself was this God, the one who died were also the god, it's all a game of the god, the one who is writing is the same god and one who is reading this is also the same God. Creation and destruction happens each and every minutest unit of time. From sub atomic to galaxies and multiverese. Only that most are ignorant and exercise their ego more than trying to understand the underlying ways of nature and energy and remain ignorant.
Misfortune is a harsh teacher - it’s the “tough love” teacher (I hate those guys..:-) What is the point of suffering? How long will I endure this endless search for meaning in this ocean of uselessness..? The suffering is vast and incalculable in this world… the rare and valued moments of joy are brief and envied… so the juggernaut rolls on.. but deep in my heart I know that I love God more than anything and that God loves me and that I am coming home. It’s tough that’s for sure and my heart weeps for the misfortune and leaps for the joy when contemplating Atman. Nothing can stop us coming to the utter good news of what God is.. but on this road to the temple my heart sometimes has wept bitterly for the suffering in this world.. and it behoves us to help where we can .. salutations to you OmNamaShiva 🌸🌏⭐️✨🙏

Why didn't the all-pervasive God, stop this flood, which killed so many..and destroyed so much, in this holy land?
The flood itself was this God, the one who died were also the god, it's all a game of the god, the one who is writing is the same god and one who is reading this is also the same God. RainbowRandy - You most likely come from a Abrahamic background and hence you are by definition incapable of understanding Karma and Dharma.
Rainbowrandy - why didn't the almighty God save the people in Afghanistan and Yemen, or those who lost their lives in Ukraine?
karma of people
