Mine is the dorado carbutared version. Full tank can go 500km with careful throttle. Issue, rear brake failure is common. Plug fouling or single plug firing. Oh and overheating issue, since its air cooled. Stopping in traffic will overheat the engine.. need a strong battery to run smoothly. Engine constantly die and unable to start if battery is weak.

I have just treated myself the new Leeway Blackster 250i. love the bike, still running her in. But one thing that puzzles me and that is how do you reset the digital trip meter? There is no switch or button!

Resetting the Odometer by quick opening and closing the switch two times, in the third/last opening stay open. You will find it resetting the trip-meter.

Noah Bendoudouh Hi. During test, the speed climbed over 100KPH. Usually, speedometer shows a higher speed (not the real one). Cruising in high speed is not the strongest part of this motorcycle. Sorry, if you want to ride at high speeds, on motorways, this motorcycle is not for you.
hello,I have the speedlight and was thinking in buying the 250. but you say the speed limit is 100 kph???? the speedlight 125 has a speed limit of 110khp.its worse with the blackster?
Note that in higher displacement you get a higher HP And Torque. According to a different transmission ratios the response is faster. You are reaching more faster to the top speed. Cruising speed with much more quiet motor, Cruising-Speed is 100 kph. Maybe you're measuring method will shows a Top-Speed of 130 kph(On the Blackster)? Either way, these are a two different types of motorcycles, also in appearance.

Norbertaker Thank you. This is my first test ride that I filmed on video and I'm glad that you like it. It's fun to get a motorcycle and to test him but The importers can not always give a motorcycle to the test which lasted an hour sometimes a few days.
I wanted to test another KEEWAY motorcycle: Superlight model 2008 , an old model that well preserved, it was stand in the importer agency, but it sold. I still want to to test an old KEEWAY motorcycle .Probably do not carried out soon. Same thing with Loncin motorcycle model LX250GL, I want to test it, but it is delayed :-)
Hi there Tamirkr, just an update about my Keeway Blackster, I've had some issues with my bike, the petrol tank leaking for one. But the other was the bike for no reason, would start to wobble at the rear. The shop discovered that the shock on the rear right side was easy to move by hand...where the top bolt is...they took took it off and found that the rubber ring was damaged. They replaced it with a new one and all was well until 500km while out for a ride cruising at 80kmh the wobble came back. Took a look around and everything looked ok. Got back on the bike and all was well again, no wobble from the back. Do you have any idea what is causing the problem.

Hello. Sorry, I'm not sure I understand your question also I am not sure that I can solve your problem over the Internet. There are many reasons for swings-tail in high-speed . I do not know such a typical problem in Blackster. Maybe tire problem, a trunks installed in the back, loose axis or screw, strong side wind... you can not ride like this, it's dangerous! You must reach a qualified mechanic.
+tamirkr Took the bike down to an old friend who used to work for Suzuki. He suggested that it's one of the rear suspension that is causing the problem. At the moment the bike is behaving it's self but next week I'm off to Saigon, there I will by two new rear shocks. Hopefully that will end the problem once and for all. Other than that the bike is great to ride, get a lot of compliments.

Yes, really nice motorcycle, provided that you love CRUISER bike, and provided you are looking for issue called: "Value For Money". I suggest for you to take your self to a "Riding Test" to check that it fits your personal needs. Please read more reviews.

Thanks for the tip on how to turn the trip meter back to 0 Tamirkr. So simple but how did you find this out? One more for you, I want to change my exhaust to a slightly wider outlet/airflow but can the fuel injection sensor compensate the changes.

I asked the Israeli importer and he explained to me. You can also contact your local dealer with questions he will help you.
About the custom exhaust, sorry i'm not really familiar with this issue. I suggest you ask the importer for custom exhaust.
what's the maximum speed on this bike?
Up to a speed of 100 kilometers per hour it can feel comfortable. Sorry i do not remember with certainty what the top-speed, maybe 120kph. I remember having a nice torque which enables to accelerate in high gear.
I've had mine up to 130kph without too much trouble but it's more comfortable at aound 115
Once again Tamirkr for your help. I live in Vietnam and my importer has no idea. I have asked mechanics over here about changing the pipes and what would happen. But no joy. But if you ever see you importer would you ask him? Thank you.

+tamirkr this is nice but I don't want to do the same as that. I think it's a bit too much, very noisy when riding. All I want to do is take out the small diameter tube and replace it with a larger diameter tube. This will give a nice sound to the bike without it being too noisy. But I am wandering it the fuel injection sensors will correct the fuel flow.

The Fuel system: EFI should do the compensation job
I do not think you should deal with it alone. Please go to a specialist who understands that Muffler..

Hi...im from Pakistan.....and im very much interested to have 250 blackster....there is one dealer who has ordered 125,150 and 200 cc super light....from Europe im not sure which country....and he is supposed to receive bikes in this month July 2017 i told him to import 250cc for me...but he said 250cc Blackster is not a Europeian Brand its American so i can't import it.......... i don't know if he is right or wrong...in your video you are showing its from China......can you give me a idea about it...Thanks in advance...

Am I the only one who would prefer an used Honda or Yamaha instead of a brand new Keeway at the same price?
Of course not. Most people are common people ,and "value for money" is something that important for them. Second-hand motorcycle this a type of gamble. Besides, Chinese motorcycles spare parts are also cheaper. There are men who prefer old HONDA over the new KEEWAY. I have an old Honda and I'm not hurry to give it up, it is world's number one machine. Although it is important to admit, i purchased the Innova before the Chinese Motorcycle Industry Revolution. The Chinese also produce CUBS. I like motorcycles, I do not tied myself with a certain brand, I like the variety and quality, as I appreciate a fair price.
tamirkr thanks for your answer! the only reason I would not buy the Keeway is the quite small engine it has. I guess it struggles a bit on long trips at cruising speed(around 100kph as much as i heard), as I am planning to do(something around 4000km in 2 weeks). I will keep it in mind if they make a bigger one :D
The rate of 300 kilometers per day it is a rate of 125 cc engine displacement (Relaxed cruise at 80-70kph). It is obvious that 250 cc of BLACKSTER will easily handle it nicely(Cruising at 90-100 kph "Safe Speed"). I'm not a salesman of anyone :D Good luck to you with your decisions. i wish you an enjoyable trips.

+Uncle Moose This is a great starting bike but it isn't fast. It will reach somewhere around 90 kmph. I'd say it's a bike for the city/town. Not long trips.

This excellent Cruiser Motorcycle in the segment of Custom + value for money. A category which is very popular in the world. "Beginners motorcycle" OR "Starting bike", I think there is no such thing. Each rider can adapt to any type of motorcycle if he recognized the fact that even Valentino Rossi did not became "The Doctor" in one day.

Pmathi Yalagan no its not. I spoke to the ppl in benelli showroom in coimbatore, chennai, Bangalore and non of em any idea about keeway Blackster 250i. honestly I'm really disappointed not able to buy any cruiser other than RE and UM commando at this price range
what was the Cruising Speed during test?
I estimate that 100-90 kph (Oops, sorry, I did not measure the real speed), like all the other motorcycle speedometer showing more. It is not a motorcycle to run with him a long distances in a short time. This type of motorcycle suitable for a relaxing ride. You can easily get along with him on the highway but its natural place is on secondary roads. This is a Cruiser which provides a lot of fun, at a fair price.

דגם אהוב, זול ונעים מאוד לרכיבה. מנוע וגיר עובדים חלק. המנוע לא מאיץ חזק, אבל עושה את העבודה. איפוס מונה קילומטרים זה עם מפתח הסוויץ. תתקשר לסוכנות בסדנה 12 תל אביב ותשאל מי המוסך שירות הקרוב אליך, מוסך מורשה של קיוואי ישראל, וקבע אצלו טיפול ראשון("יישור קו", ומה שצריך), משם והלאה המשך לפי סדר הטיפולים המומלץ על ידי המוסך. כן, החלקים אמורים להיות זולים. מצד שני להיות בעל אופנוע בישראל זה די יקר. ההיכרות שלי מהאופנוע היא במסגרת אותה רכיבת מבחן שסקרתי בוידאו שלמעלה. לקבלת מידע נוסף מבעלי המותג/הדגם נסה למצוא לך איזה קבוצת פייסבוק, לא שאני יודע להמליץ, אבל להבנתי זה קיים. זכור שבסוף אתה אחראי להחלטות שאתה לוקח, וצריך להיות מאוד זהיר בצריכת מידע מהאינטרנט. בכל ספק גש למכונאי מוסמך. רוב רכיבות טובות ובטוחות, ותתחדש!!!

Ian Bolchi Your question is very good. Probably the people are afraid from Chinese products, which are manufactured in the past on low quality (And a very low price). Today KEEWAY branded produces a good quality products, which sold in decent price that justifies the slogan: "Value for money". The brand is in the market for 15 years, and I think it says something positive about the firm. Surprisingly despite the time that has passed (15 years), the number of the responses that you can found on the Internet are low. I can recommend on the BLACKSTER, but at the end of the day the responsibility is on you.

האדון "הגנב" קורא לעצמו מיני יוטיוב(יוטיוב בקטן), וזה להבנתי מה שהוא עשה לסרט שלי, הקטין אותו, גם בזמן, לא בהצלחה גדולה, כי העריכה שלו נוראית. הגנבה עלתה לאוויר ב 2017 ובערוץ הגונב לא עלו סרטים חדשים כבר שנה שלמה, כלומר אני מניח שהוא הפסיק פעילות. הסרט הגנוב הצחיק אותי מרוב שהוא ערוך גרוע, וזה לא שהמקור מדהים(השתפרתי רבות מאז, לפחות ככה אני מקווה). כמובן שאני לא מעודד גנבות כאלו ואני אגיש תלונה מסודרת ליוטיוב. ליוטיוב יש רובוט שמגלה גנבות ומדווח לנו(ליוטיוברים) אוטומטית, על הגנבה הזאת הרובוט לא עלה, אתה כן, שפו עליך, רכיבות טובות ובטוחות ובי. תמיר.
