Honestly, lust is not a bad thing unless it is completely out of control. Your desires are divine in origin and should be treated as such. To meditate or “be present” and allow yourself to experience all your feelings and sensations without judgement, is the key to a full and happy life.

The term lust just refers to your sexual energy. That feeling you get when you are aroused. What you do with that energy is up to you. You can express it through love making, masturbation, or you can breathe into it and transmute it. You can then use it for another task to improve yourself. Just because it can be misused doesn’t make it a different energy. It’s the same energy when you’re making “love” vs having “sex”. It is no different. The energy is like fire. You can heat your home with it or you can burn it to the ground. It is not good or bad, it just is. What makes it good or bad is the way in which you use it.
With a western diet, all the media nonsense, "social media", constant titillation of the senses, if you're not lustful, there'd be something wrong with you (ok, a bit extreme, but you probably get my point). @@davidm1149 I think you are right, a big reason is the constant stimulation, like you said it is more difficult then ever to not be lustfull, I mean just look how woman are dressing nowadays, it is normal to post youself in a bikini online, or wear gym clothing that shows everything. Being so overstimulated not only through woman but everything else makes it hard to be still and calm. The bible(I'm a christian) says that god only reveals himself to you if you are still and quiet. The world is so noisy and toxic that I find it hard to be that way.

So from early years, people are already vulnerable and conditioned toward an inhuman, mechanical 'society' they're meant to accept as normal. Man. Thank you for this message. I thought I was going crazy because every time I retain, I get attacked by males and females who want to drain my energy. It's so exhausting. And when I do fall into temptation and give in, I feel drained and depressed and full of guilt and shame afterwards.
I think, lust is just a sensation, a really strong one, when energy starts to flow to your genitals because of the images mind sends and you reacting to it. The more you react, the stronger it gets. If you want to transcend it, watch how it started and how it's flowing in your body..see it move, see it aching when you don't react. Doing this won't cloud your judgment when you actually WANT to do it and not waste energy and feel shitty about it at the end because of the intentions you did it. Intentions like :- getting rid of anxiety, looking for body validation, increasing body count for praise /validation,fill the vlid of loneliness, pass time etc. All these are either to fix something you don't want (could be a feeling or situation or chase a feeling) or about what other people think of you, or an escape for entertainment aka chasing dopomine or fun. All these give you that high Highs and ofc follows the Lows which makes you realise that it gives an illusion to solving problems instead it creates new problems resulting in guilt. Even if you're awaken enough, you see the futility of both the sides. One can not think after doing it (but that doesn't happen more or less) but the body knows but still it makes it easier but on the other side you see that not doing it makes you feel higher and more in tune or in control of such feelings/sensations/images when they arise. You can rationally decide if you want to pursue it or not in the form of love and see if you want to channel that energy with more pure intentions (which aren't followed by guilt as it wasn't for THE HIGH but for something you Value and don't consider trivial psychologically). But yet again, many go through the cycle & then realise. So it depends. In my POV, don't react to every sexual stimulation and that will make you more rational while living life and if you want to choose monogamous partners. Because your brain is wired to react and your neural connections are formed that way, so you need to "change"/neuroplasiticity to actually make something sustainable. Otherwise it comes up in ugly ways when you don't know how to feel and handle such sensations.
It's amazing how whenever I have a problem that's bother me, you show up with your message. That's feels great and crazy at the same time. I try to take care of myself, try to not drink alcohol, meditate, not eat meat, affirmate, simply be good. But lust and masturbation was always a big big issue to me. I think the ultimate goal if someone is that way inclined, is to transform lust into love. Lust is morish and unfulfilling , love is satiating and leaves you feeling balanced. Its not a question of morality, only where you are currently at in your development. Regardless where you are at, meditation is always welcome

Hearing this from Yash really brought back memories. There's gotta be something higher in life than lusting over flesh, blood, pus, stool, etc all packaged neatly within a thin layer of skin.
Everytime I get downloads about purity, energy, lust or whatever in this world, my mind takes over and wants all the credit. Then it puts me into a deep sleep for a few weeks. "I" just want stability lol.

Same my guy. I somehow just get drawn to the truth. I'm also 20 (almost 21) and I'm just not like others. The highest goal I have is self perfection, not money, not fame, not women. I still struggle with lust tho, we(I and many many others of our generation) were raised on p0rn. With this early acces to the internet, it is hard to quit, but eventully the light will win. I looked at so many religions to find the core value of them all, always searching the truth. Diverse forms of Paganism, Buddhism, Psychonautic, Hermatism, Christianity, 0ccult knowledge and so on. I currently explore the abbys to know my/our enemy and understand the dark side, it is difficult, very deep and hard on the psyche to look the beast in its eyes, but it has to be done for knowledge is the thing that sets one free. If you wanna talk or just write occasionaly I would be down. It is hard to find other people on the same path and in the same age who really want to grow spiritually, most of our generation is sooooo blind to the truth. I was against f3menism(which now is part to the whole w0ke-s0cialism m0vement of self d3struction) at the age of 13-14 because it only taught h4te against man, not 3quality of outcome. It is def hard to be this awakend in such early years, since almost nobody is on your side, you are the crazy one. I have to self isolate to guard my soul from people who want to drag it down. I can't taste the fruits of youth, doing stupid stuff because I already know it is stupid. Not engage in relationships because it will destroy you if you don't find the right person instantly and most w0man of my generation are vicious like vipers, only engaging with them for lust would also be coping for my soul. But if I have to abstain from it to be a person of inner light someday, I will persute this way of hardship even if the biggest storm tries to disrupt me. I believe that what you said is true, it's simply the law of opposits spoken of in the kybalion. nothing really matters while everything matters simultaneously. you do the best you can to be better but you’re not attached or becoming a slave to the idea of being perfect because you know it won’t be the end of the world even if you don’t reach that end goal result.

Was about to type a huge paragraph, got it summed up now. Basically when you’re trying to stop something or chasing something, you’re declaring that there is a problem or a lack of something? By trying to stop lust you’re unironically stating there is a problem of lust.
its a seeming problem but it ironically leads to transcendence of “excessive” instinctual demands which then leads to more serenity and so the problem is really a solution on a deeper level.

I read osho's book from sex to superconsciousness. He told that if your mind is filled with lust, don't avoid or run from it. The more you run from something, it gives power to that thing. He says to meditate on sexual images of naked women. Take a naked women's image and just be conscious. Just be aware and watch yourself, without any kinds of judgement. Just don't choose anything thing, don't choose abstinence because that implies you have judged indulgence as bad. Don't choose anything, just be conscious. At first i felt weird, to even try this. But after 30 minutes of watching a single naked photo of a woman consciously, i learnt many things which usually i am unconscious of. It seems very paradoxical but it helped me evolve. Osho is really a great tantra master❤
of course. Ive taken it further in my past. Visiting Nude beaches destroyed lust very quickly for me in the past. I went to a swingers party once several years ago and that really created a dispassion afterwards. I call it paradoxical sadhana!

This Lifetime can be a Trippy Place. In 1993 when I first began Big Time on the Spiritual Path, I made a commitment to abstain from Lust to see what Changes would occure in me. No sex, no master baiting. The first few days were tough, like stopping smoking. But it became easier. I came to believe that the world around me was somehow an extension of me. I had a sing song phrase I used. " Everywhere I see, Reflections of me" I was a member of a Twelve step program. I went to a meeting one morning and Randy the post man and his wife were sitting on the stage against the wall as usual and Randy talked about how he and his wife hadn't had sex in over a week. He looked right at me and said with a loathing "Thanks Matt" . Later a member of the meeting followed me out onto the balcony and threatened to Kill me if I didn't have Sex Soon.😅😅😅😅. What a Bizaar world the Spiritual Path can be.
Using the kabbalah chakra points and conscious control based on the points, I reached a inner balance and acceptance with both sides of myself, the dark and the light. The balance is learning to control both halves of the energetic spectrum, the loving light energy and the dark energy like rage, lust, and fear. With the ability to control both spectrums of energy you can know/ sense energy. It's not about removing lust/ negative energies, it's about controlling them. Balance. The demons surrounding me are in panic because I now control the negative energies they send my way. I will master both sides. There must be dark for there to be light. I will be one with the universe and watch those on each side. You can choose sides if you want. But I chose the universe and balance of both.
Man it’s so hard to stay centered living in America. I’m in college and surrounded by low level energy. I want to move but, I don’t have the funds. I try to distance myself from people when I can’t stay grounded, but then my ego takes over. Any advice?
I’m not Yash, but to be honest, consider what you really want. Is it liberation from the confine limitation of your environment which is college. You need to create and evolve your self, via semen retention, mindfulness meditation, walking with yourself in nature and honestly being comfortable with being yourself like you said “I try to distance myself” go through the suffering of what Grace does. Allow Grace to show you what triggers you and what makes you comfortable. Understand that it’s only temporary and not permanent🤙🏾
In some situations we can’t avoid low frequency people. But remember, they are just souls (god) playing their part in this collective movie, so try to come back to 💜 and remember none of us are better than anyone. Go to your classes, and limit socialising outside of that. Do things that will amplify your energy - eat pure / high energy foods (sattvic diet), Do breathwork, relax a lot, and spend a lot of time in nature - touch trees, leaves, flowers etc.
Correct me if I am wrong, it seems to me you talk about lust mostly as escapism? When there is tension, the body looks for a way to release. If the tension comes from trauma which the mind does not wish to resolve (fear of facing a particular situation) the body needs a different way to vent. Smoking, drinking, gaming, buying, cleaning, hoarding, loving, it does not matter. It is a fear induced distraction from the real (probably karmic) issue. In Dune, Frank Herbert lets the Bene Gesserit say, 'fear is the mind killer'. In terms of trauma, a more accurate version is, 'the mind likes to protect the hurt heart by creating a protective bubble that uses fear to keep you inside'. Anyway, trying to simply not release tension when the body requires it, will increase the tension hundredfold as you said. However, it provides the opportunity to find the actual matter that creates the tension in the first place. If one is not ready to face their trauma, the escapism of choice can be switched. Resolving the underlying issue is the preferable solution I assume. I found that after resolving emotional issues, the tenseness disappears and leaves room for choice.

I think, lust is just a sensation, a really strong one, when energy starts to flow to your genitals because of the images mind sends and you reacting to it. The more you react, the stronger it gets. If you want to transcend it, watch how it started and how it's flowing in your body..see it move, see it aching when you don't react. Doing this won't cloud your judgment when you actually WANT to do it and not waste energy and feel shitty about it at the end because of the intentions you did it. Intentions like :- getting rid of anxiety, looking for body validation, increasing body count for praise /validation,fill the vlid of loneliness, pass time etc. All these are either to fix something you don't want (could be a feeling or situation or chase a feeling) or about what other people think of you, or an escape for entertainment aka chasing dopomine or fun. All these give you that high Highs and ofc follows the Lows which makes you realise that it gives an illusion to solving problems instead it creates new problems resulting in guilt. Even if you're awaken enough, you see the futility of both the sides. One can not think after doing it (but that doesn't happen more or less) but the body knows but still it makes it easier but on the other side you see that not doing it makes you feel higher and more in tune or in control of such feelings/sensations/images when they arise. You can rationally decide if you want to pursue it or not in the form of love and see if you want to channel that energy with more pure intentions (which aren't followed by guilt as it wasn't for THE HIGH but for something you Value and don't consider trivial psychologically).
But yet again, many go through the cycle & then realise. So it depends.
In my POV, don't react to every sexual stimulation and that will make you more rational while living life and if you want to choose monogamous partners. Because your brain is wired to react and your neural connections are formed that way, so you need to "change"/neuroplasiticity to actually make something sustainable. Otherwise it comes up in ugly ways when you don't know how to feel and handle such sensations.
It's amazing how whenever I have a problem that's bother me, you show up with your message. That's feels great and crazy at the same time. I try to take care of myself, try to not drink alcohol, meditate, not eat meat, affirmate, simply be good. But lust and masturbation was always a big big issue to me. Same my guy. I somehow just get drawn to the truth. I'm also 20 (almost 21) and I'm just not like others. The highest goal I have is self perfection, not money, not fame, not women. I still struggle with lust tho, we(I and many many others of our generation) were raised on p0rn. With this early acces to the internet, it is hard to quit, but eventully the light will win.
I looked at so many religions to find the core value of them all, always searching the truth. Diverse forms of Paganism, Buddhism, Psychonautic, Hermatism, Christianity, 0ccult knowledge and so on. I currently explore the abbys to know my/our enemy and understand the dark side, it is difficult, very deep and hard on the psyche to look the beast in its eyes, but it has to be done for knowledge is the thing that sets one free.
If you wanna talk or just write occasionaly I would be down. It is hard to find other people on the same path and in the same age who really want to grow spiritually, most of our generation is sooooo blind to the truth.

Was about to type a huge paragraph, got it summed up now. Basically when you’re trying to stop something or chasing something, you’re declaring that there is a problem or a lack of something? By trying to stop lust you’re unironically stating there is a problem of lust.
its a seeming problem but it ironically leads to transcendence of “excessive” instinctual demands which then leads to more serenity and so the problem is really a solution on a deeper level.

I read osho's book from sex to superconsciousness. He told that if your mind is filled with lust, don't avoid or run from it. The more you run from something, it gives power to that thing. He says to meditate on sexual images of naked women. Take a naked women's image and just be conscious. Just be aware and watch yourself, without any kinds of judgement. Just don't choose anything thing, don't choose abstinence because that implies you have judged indulgence as bad. Don't choose anything, just be conscious. At first i felt weird, to even try this. But after 30 minutes of watching a single naked photo of a woman consciously, i learnt many things which usually i am unconscious of. It seems very paradoxical but it helped me evolve. Osho is really a great tantra master❤

I had a sing song phrase I used. " Everywhere I see, Reflections of me" I was a member of a Twelve step program. I went to a meeting one morning and Randy the post man and his wife were sitting on the stage against the wall as usual and Randy talked about how he and his wife hadn't had sex in over a week. He looked right at me and said with a loathing "Thanks Matt" . Later a member of the meeting followed me out onto the balcony and threatened to Kill me if I didn't have Sex Soon.😅😅😅😅. What a Bizaar world the Spiritual Path can be.

Using the kabbalah chakra points and conscious control based on the points, I reached a inner balance and acceptance with both sides of myself, the dark and the light. The balance is learning to control both halves of the energetic spectrum, the loving light energy and the dark energy like rage, lust, and fear.
With the ability to control both spectrums of energy you can know/ sense energy.
It's not about removing lust/ negative energies, it's about controlling them.
Balance. The demons surrounding me are in panic because I now control the negative energies they send my way. I will master both sides. There must be dark for there to be light. I will be one with the universe and watch those on each side. You can choose sides if you want. But I chose the universe and balance of both.

I’m not Yash, but to be honest, consider what you really want. Is it liberation from the confine limitation of your environment which is college. You need to create and evolve your self, via semen retention, mindfulness meditation, walking with yourself in nature and honestly being comfortable with being yourself like you said “I try to distance myself” go through the suffering of what Grace does. Allow Grace to show you what triggers you and what makes you comfortable. Understand that it’s only temporary and not permanent🤙🏾
In some situations we can’t avoid low frequency people. But remember, they are just souls (god) playing their part in this collective movie, so try to come back to 💜 and remember none of us are better than anyone.
Go to your classes, and limit socialising outside of that. Do things that will amplify your energy - eat pure / high energy foods (sattvic diet), Do breathwork, relax a lot, and spend a lot of time in nature - touch trees, leaves, flowers etc.

Correct me if I am wrong, it seems to me you talk about lust mostly as escapism?
When there is tension, the body looks for a way to release. If the tension comes from trauma which the mind does not wish to resolve (fear of facing a particular situation) the body needs a different way to vent. Smoking, drinking, gaming, buying, cleaning, hoarding, loving, it does not matter. It is a fear induced distraction from the real (probably karmic) issue.
In Dune, Frank Herbert lets the Bene Gesserit say, 'fear is the mind killer'.
In terms of trauma, a more accurate version is, 'the mind likes to protect the hurt heart by creating a protective bubble that uses fear to keep you inside'.
Anyway, trying to simply not release tension when the body requires it, will increase the tension hundredfold as you said. However, it provides the opportunity to find the actual matter that creates the tension in the first place.
If one is not ready to face their trauma, the escapism of choice can be switched.
Resolving the underlying issue is the preferable solution I assume.
I found that after resolving emotional issues, the tenseness disappears and leaves room for choice.
