I’m not good at art too! But i’m journaling for five months now. I think, everything comes to together perfectly after some time of experimenting :) when you are not sure about doodling, then don’t do it :) you don’t need to draw or paint in your bujo, because it’s a very individual thing Later you can do it for sure, maybe you can search for some doodling tutorials on Pinterest. It helps a lot!
airplane troubles are so relatable! we traveled international this summer and our flight was so late we missed our connecting flight and everything was messed up. the good thing is, everything works out in the end. love this video! it’s probably perfect that you went to the toy convention because you forgot your bullet journal.

Hey Amanda, I just went trough some similar situation on my vacation, mostly because of delays with planes, bus, trains, all that stuff in the same travel to Boston, Chicago, New York.. it was a pain. Thankfully all goes away in the end and become just a memory, kind of something everybody will experience someday. Hope you feel better and continues to travel. You had a stressful day for sure! OMG the credit card denial after all the travel headaches. I travel a lot for work. I do whatever I can to NOT check my bags. Saves a lot of headache. And if I DO check a bag I make sure I have 24 hours of survival in my carry on bag(s). If I know I'm going to bring back more than I left with (shopping) I'll pack a Longchamp bag :) I don't mind checking a bag on my way home. Sounds like you made the best of everything though!

I’ve also used TH-cam videos and picking cubes to start travelling with only a carry on and a personal item (like your backpack) and it solves a lot of problems! It's simple, you follow the instructions, and about a third of the way through, when your thumb-pads start to hurt from pressing pieces together, you go get a bowl of ice water to periodically ease the pain. Your brother probably knows the K-nex thumb pain I'm describing. The thing has a motor with a chain to raise the roller coaster to the top and and the roller coaster goes through a real loop. I was not going to take a break because of some finger pain!

Guuuuurl, that is exactly why I ALWAYS travel with a carry-on bag. I've gone to Costa Rica for a week in just a carry-on! It just gives you such better peace of mind and you KNOW all your stuff is with you! I'll usually do a standard carry-on sized suitcase and a backpack (like yours). You should look up different clothing folding/rolling techniques to utilize the space in a smaller bag! Best thing I ever did for traveling, I swear! :)
