Thank you, Professor Thorburn. You've opened my eyes to so much more art than before this lecture series; some of which I knew before but not with the same degree of understanding that you brought forth.

"The equation of “golden lads” and “chimney-sweepers”, alluded to in the dirge in Cymbeline, with, respectively, the flower-heads and clocks of the dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) is a twentieth-century myth, perhaps even a hoax. Neither phrase has been recorded, even in Warwickshire, as a vernacular name for the dandelion, a plant not mentioned anywhere in Shakespeare's works. " Source: E. Thanks for a great course. I'm sure you won't mind if I correct you on something? Shakespeare's County of Warwickshire is pronounced War- Rick-Sheer. The W is silent. You've taught me so much over this course I hope you don't mind me trying to teach you something?
He also omitted more influential and important directors than Ray, such as Goddard, Fellini, Bergman, Tarkovski to name a few. It's not meant to be a slight.

Great course
Can anyone confirm whether this is the last video of the series?
It is. See ocw.mit.edu/21L-011F13 for more course info. Best wishes on your studies!
Very interesting. But the total omission of Satyajit Ray on this theme is a shocking inadequacy
He also omitted more influential and important directors than Ray, such as Goddard, Fellini, Bergman, Tarkovski to name a few. It's not meant to be a slight.
He was mentioned, but there's only so much you can stuff into an hour-long class. Time considered, I'm grateful for everything shared in this series.
