I didn't like listening to this ending when I was a kid because it made me feel sad so I thought it was a bummer. With time I realized it's a very beautiful song.
It's a good thing. She's changing pitch basically every syllable she sings. She's pretty talented and learned in vocal styles. (I'm a self taught vocalist/guitar player, I'm in a band. We mostly only do covers ) She's mastered controllingher pitch, clean vibrato and that weird Japanese technique where they distort their voice by like forcing the note out. To compare it to American pop, A-pop's singers are not even close pitch wise. They sing atleast a few words in the same key before switching it. Vibrato is like a kindergarten vocal technique and yet many pop artists never even use vibrato. Like I said, the distortion technique thing is basically a Japanese technique and when it's rarely used in A-pop, it's an accented note or a note that sticks out. Used at the end of a chorus or before a tempo change or key change. She was a talented young lady when she made this. It's a common trait in old J-pop. The songs have artistic merit. A-pop songs usually are skimp. If this song was made in America today, there's no way it doesn't have auto-tune. Also, not sure if this is a Japanese artist so... Yeah. Asian pop crushes American. We destroy them basically in all other genres.

this song fit kikyo's death. If you look at the lyrics, it fit them. The lyrics are like what happened to Inuyasha and Kikyo. POOR KIKYO OH MY GOOODNESS
Nah, that sad version suits kikyo. Although the lyrics tells about kikyo and inuyasha's love story, this version somehow suits kagome. Remember this song first introduced in the ending of the episode when kagome decides to accept inuyasha's love for kikyo?
It does, but I could also argue it’s the mindset of the cast during this period as they almost all faced so much pain and in Inuyasha’s case caused it.
the music producer for Inuyasha is a damn LEGEND...every outro is just a BANGER and all catch you wanting more...wish the intros had the same love...but Naruto and Bleach hold the Intro Crowns
I know if it wasn't for Naraku, Kikyo and InuYasha would've had a beautiful relationship... Even though I somewhat hated Kikyo when I first started watching InuYasha, she is still, and always be my favorite character.

Kikyo also deserved no toxic hate from the radical fans of Inuyasha, especially the Kagome-Inuyasha shippers that have total apathy for her since her revival she decided to kill Inuyasha out of the mistaken assumption that he betrayed and killed her when it was Naraku who shattered their romantic relationship.
2:03 "Hito wa mina kanashii kana" As a Japanese native speaker, I would like to point out the the translation is wrong. "What a sad creature humans are." is clother to the original.

This quality is great but I found another one where the sound quality is worse but the singing is also clearly more powerful. Are there multiple versions or something?
@@AnimeTranslations Yeah it's just the quality. Somehow because of the worse quality on the other 1 and some sort of distortion the singing in the later parts where it goes louder actually sound really good. But still, this one is definitely the better audio quality.
The episode "147" I started to like kikyo for inu 😍 this episode is for kikyo what kind a woman she is..😍 but episode "8" s2 is saddest part of their story😒how tragic life have kikyo😰
Kikyo had peace but that witch ruined it for her and Inuyasha all the same. Tbh I hated that the show kept killing her and bringing her back because it kept reopening the same old wounds over and over for Inuyasha and Kagome. Plus Kikyo deserved to rest eternally.
in a way kikyo got her happy ending, not as her original self or body- but through Kagome. We see a disembodied Kikyo in the show bc her soul is in Kagome. Basically Inuyasha and Kikyo were always meant to be together. They are soulmates, so whatever body kikyo/kagomes soul inhabited- they were always going to find a way to each other. It’s bittersweet but so sweet at the same time
Bless this audio quality.

Dearest truly the saddest ending song in Inuyasha which makes sense as most the episodes with this ending are quite tragic.

Ayumis’s Voice and her control of it is out of this world
The amount of vocal technique in this song is staggering. She's almost yodeling with a clear vibrato the whole time.
Is that a good or bad thing?
