Who then was the "real" Evanescence? The lead guitar player (Troy McLawhorn) and drummer (Will Hunt) have been in this band since 2007. They are some of the most talented musicians in the business (look up their other bands if you don't know them). If Evanescence is supposed to be the emo/goth alt-metal band they were in 2003, that was a long time ago and like any other band, they've grown up.
The real Evanescence died a long time ago, this is just the Amy Lee show with her hired musicians who only stay with her because she gives them a paycheck.
