Heya, James Thanks so much for playing fisch! I'm the creator of fisch; I just got a few things just to heads up incase you ever decide to come back to the game! :)
- The slider is 100% RNG, if its too close to one side during a turn (movement) it automatically moves closer to the center for at least one turn
- You can talk to an NPC to see the price of a fish, the reason it isn't directly shown is beyond me but there is already a LOT of info that can be shown inside a fish's hot bar icon. For example; Fish have a lot of unique attributes that can decide a lot about it. Such as Shiny (Pokemon recolour/remodel), Sparkling (Neon), Mutation (Random mutation rom a very large pool of about 30 naturally spawning and 25 unnatural/rod specific/enchant specific/event specific) as well as overweight fish. Fish values aren't always determined by coins, but just personal and universal trade values. Basically with that yap attack, fish values are subjective unless you are C$ griding. But i understand what you mean

The fishing in the game is just Stardew Valley fishing but horizontal instead of vertical.
Even the sound effect from the fish biting is the same
The majority of the fish are the same ones as in Animal Crossing, the moment the game started, it made a sound that only a Nintendo Switch makes. And the flimsy fishing rod (the one people start with) is legit the same as the one from Animal Crossing New Horizons (also called, Flimsy fishing rod).
Since Stardew Valley players usually also play/played Animal Crossing, this makes so much sense hahah

I had a similar experience playing, some guy jumped on my boat and showed me how to get a few rods and where to fish. He had the Prophet Angler tag, and before leaving said to me "Remember that saying goodbye is part of the journey."

When i first played webfishing i was struggling for a solid 20 minutes, trying to figure out how in the world it's supposed to be relaxing, turns out you don't have to keep on mashing the mouse button and can hold it...
I'm embarrassed that i wasted 20 minutes on being stupid, but at least it wasn't the 6 hours of webfishing that followed my stupidity
it can certainly take a while for people to figure out on their own, they really need to let people know you can hold, and only mash on the barriers

12:05 On the Island of Beginners (Moosewood) there is an NPC next to where you sell the fisch who can tell you how much a fisch is worth, just equip the fisch and ask her to tell you the price of the fisch

12:00 the reason they do the thing with the price next to the weight cuz some late game fish tend to cost a couple of tens of thousands and it just wouldnt fit on that small icon

Yeah I liked fisch at first but ever since the partner with Do Big... you can tell the quality of updates definitely dropped. Not to mention the tolerance for macro'ing (which is allowed at a basic "auto hotkey" level) for some reason. I remember when grinding for over 100k was a couple day job if you only got on the game for maybe 2 hours at a time now 100k is within 20 minutes. It's so bad to the point where I see fresh lvl 30's obtaining trident.
