If you're wondering the Game and it's content is completely Free and accessable other than Characters and some Weapons The Game gives you free Stuffs to beat the game without paying, people pay for characters usually because of their Playstyles or Funny Numbers
The story and exploration of the world is my main reason for playing Genshin Impact. The gacha system is a turn off for most people but this game is not difficult at all so the only reason you would try to get a character is if you like their story/playstyle. You do get free pulls in events and other activities and you can save them up for a character you may want in the future. You never feel pressured to pay for anything and as I will always recommend if you have no restraint on money don't play gacha games ever. Other gacha games don't have the exploration that Genshin Impact has which is why in my opinion it is doing so well. My team I always run is Yelan, Ayaka, Kokomi and Yoimiya.
"You never feel pressured" statement is practically always wrong. At least if we're talking about *most* people. Also, you'll have to play the game long enough to start to actually *feel* the pressure and/or need to pay. And another also: Once you pay once, you'll likely pay more times in the future. That's how the "hook" works.
@Bullet Sponge I never feel that, many people actually never felt that urgency to pay. The person just said that the game isn't exploring their players to pay to win. Yes, they are doing their market to pay for the characters, but this is more on TH-cam than the game itself
Also I have been playing since the very first day and have never felt any pressure. If anything it's so easy that I feel pressured to make my teams worse just for a challenge.
I will say this: there is not a single high level character, weapon, or artifact that you need to succeed, that is locked behind a pay wall. In fact, the only items that are behind a paywall are skins and a set of moderately high level weapons that you can absolutely do without. I play for the story, which is far too complex for my meager writing skills to attempt here. I choose to roll on characters based on who I like and how they add to the lore, not on how well they fight, yet I do well in combat. I have been playing for over a year and have never felt a need to spend money; I am ftp. Sometimes I feel a little guilty about that, but then I remember that Hoyolab has earned FOUR BILLION DOLLARS on this game and has spent NINE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS on its development, and I feel less guilty. That's right, more has been SPENT on Genshin's development than some AAA games have EARNED in their entire run.
I believe it's actually six billion dollars in earnings and five hundred million as the current budget, nine hundred might be an old estimate for the full cost of the game at the time it was released.
21:53 People like to cry about how you "must use money" no the reality is you dont need to. You can if you want but just by playing a lot you can get the characters/weapons you want.
To actually answer your questions, Genshin Impact is about an alien and their twin sibling (the gender of each depends on who you decide to play as) who come to this world called Teyvat, but when they try to leave after witnessing the cataclysmic destruction of an entire nation, they are blocked by an unknown god. The god seals the main character away and kidnaps their twin. After 500 years, the main character wakes up, befriends a mysterious being called Paimon, and then decides to travel the world searching for their lost sibling, confronting all of the gods they can in hope of finding the one that took their sibling from them. Along the way they become involved in the conspiracies of the seven nations - mostly spurred on by the Fatui, who are basically the state-sponsored Russian mafia, or the Abyss, which is where the monsters come from. Both of these factions are trying to rebel against the gods. It genuinely has a fantastic and complex story. There are so many factions at work, and pretty much all of them are morally grey. I think the Fatui and the Abyss will both probably end up being our allies at some point in the story. And the characters are great. Personally I currently play as Diluc, Chongyun, Xingqiu, and the new character, Mika. I'm pretty bad at the game though, and Mika isn't really supposed to be on a team like this, I just play him because I like his design.
@@zukodude487987 I actually did try to pull Yelan (that's actually how I got my Xingqiu), but I lost my 50/50 to Keqing. But I like having Chongyun and Xingqiu on the same team, so I'd probably not use her.
Thieves and bandits that have been consistently depicted as resorting to thievery and banditry due to bad circumstance rather than just wanting to steal for profit but yeah, sure. Treasure hunters have been consistently some of the most cooperative enemies in the game and we generally go full out murder-mode with powers that have taken on multiple gods and demigod-level fighters whenever we meet them. Max0r exaggerates a bit for comedic effect, but he's not lying or wrong; there is something distinctly screwed up about the enemies we face in-game being mostly benign until we crash their camps and start throwing fire, lightning and grass all over the place. EDIT: Just to clarify, since it may be needed, I don't mean this as a criticism of the game in any way. It's actually interesting to see if it will ever really be properly addressed in the way hilichurls have started being addressed more with the Dain quests. I like the fact that the various enemy factions tend to not be just pure evil and are more varied. My favorite Treasure Hunter has to be that boss lady in Sumeru who "kidnapped" one of our older quest givers but actually is just hosting her while she's going through a tough time. The Eremites being portrayed as generally honorable but with some truly screwed up people among them, the various Fatui members that are not just non-hostile but almost friendly and sometimes totally out of the loop being thrown in a conflict they have no choice but to fight. Gives some layers to the world building and is good fodder for future quests.
The game is good and the community is creative/fun/weird but mostly chill (of course outside Twitter influence. 70% of our bad reputation come from hater in Twitter) Our community is mixed bag of people who enjoy the gameplay, story, meme, mini game, glitch, graphic, waifu/ husbando, music and lore. Co-op is optional but most players are polite and kind (especially in Asia server). Gameplay is... complicated to explain. It honestly depends on your own play style and which character you like the most. Gacha is optional. You still can get 5 star and not spending money by exploration, quest, daily commission and events. Added to that, 4 star is also broken in Genshin.
You know Nahida isnt supposed to be a fighter but the fact that the 500 year old child prisoner can do 30+ k damage tto mostly anything when paired with electro and hydro via playing hopscotch is a fucking threat.
a few thoughts on the game of mine and honestly thank you for asking its nice that you're asking alot of questions about the game glad we've got your curiosity one way or another haha 1- well by the ip address he meant the in game like- special account id that every player has a unique one, basically people can use that id to join your world and stuff but it's kinda possible to get your acc hacked from your uid if you're not careful? it's not literally your ip 2- the game's co-op is actually fun but the only downside is that pvp isn't a thing in genshin so ye 3- btw the gambling thing is kind of true-? i mean the game has this thing called FOMO, fear of missing out, yeah there's really insanely good temporary events, character banners that you can spend in game currency on and get in game rewards from, problem is they're....like i said, temporary so if you really want a character or a weapon you like either pray you get lucky or hand over your wallet over to the company thats how it works haha. 4- the story is REALLY good with genshin impact, like seriously this is a random mobile/pc gacha game and it has better story than 80% of netflix shows. The lore behind the characters is interesting enough to get you to like them as well as the world of teyvat's history and the stories waiting to be discovered from the lands of the 7 regions, out of which 4 have been released as of now upto sumeru. 5- also about the gameplay, it really depends on what characters you wanna play as....cuz the meta in this game is very interesting. The team i usually use to clear the game consists of hu tao, yelan, xingqiu and thoma (the one maxor used in the video). Just keep in mind one thing: build crit stats on your characters when you're a later level, otherwise in early game many 4* characters can carry you throughout all early game. Just know to deal more damage you gotta do alot of reactions with different elements, see what works best for you and stick to it. You don't ALWAYS have to spend money, but best be careful and think about your team's stats and what not- yeah big brain is necessary in this game somewhat
I don't know what red flags you are talking about. Children in this game are just normal kids, if you see something concerning about these characters you are wrong, they are just cute and funny
I play genshin for lore, the inner secrets of that world, and i really enjoy exploration and story. The game caught me when i realized by my own research that all the names of gods are actually demonic names from gnostic demons of goetia (The Lesser Key of Solomon). And you can see a lot of gnostic phylosophy/esotericism on the deepest levels of Teyvat worldbuilding. On the outer layers we have all kinds of realistic cultures and religions and also politics because all nations are different, ruled by different inner princile of their god (Freedom for Mondstadt, hence anarchy. Contract for Liyue. Eternity for Inazuma, Wisdom for Sumeru, Justice for Fontaine, War for Natlan, Love for Snezhnaya). The lore goes deeper with every new story patch and seems to be coherent and meaningful. The world gets more and more unnerving with new pieces of information and i cherish that climbing feeling that things are going to get dark and epic. In genshin the devs put effort into making characters with personality, story and lore. It's not only looks and battle power. My team is Main Character (who wants to explore the world and its laws), Mika (cartographer), Bennet (adventurer) and Albedo (alchemist tasked with finding the Secret of this world). I like to use MC for all story quests :) I didnot lvl up all characters to max or upgrade their weapons to max, and can still beat everything except 'abyss' challenge. I also hate grinding, that's why the game is a bit challenging at times, but i actually like it more like this. At least i have the pleasure to hear all the OSTs, and not one-shot a boss, haha :) (btw music in this game is simply fantastic). Thanks if you've read all this!
Genshin is not "questionable material". It's a great game with amazing world-building, lore and story. And also environment, characters and combat. It's hours of free content and you don't need to spend a single dollar to get it
To answer your question the "Very strong" Anti-cheat system that "Hacks" your computer is nothing new, and it's not the first game to do this. Sadly these measures are kind of needed, for them to be able to see if you are using any 3rd party software to hack their game and stop it.
18:55 no its not hes just memeing if you understand what that is like 80% of hes video is a meme thats why its entertaining so dont take everything he said is Accurate Fact and even if it is true it has 65million active player and still growing and 500k to 1M players online it depends when what day or if theres events it can go up more! also its questionable because of the normies who dont like anime style game and people who hates genshin for some reason and people who spends money and then hated the game afterwards when you can laterally play the game without spending money... i been playing for 3years and spend $0 Best F2P game! for a mobile game its masterpiece!!! the only way i will quit this game is ether the game is done or i D!E. Also very important the game Has the Best Combat System ever made!
I too play a kindergarten team, but I call mine the loli squad. It has Nahida, which Maxor already has shown. Klee, who is the owner of the child's bomb instructions, Diona, who is a cat girl archer. I built her as a elemental DPS when she was designed to be a healer. And my healer is Sayu. Sayu is also has a sonic roll ability that makes her a utility for travel.
Genshin Impact is actually an extremely good game and you absolutely don't need to spend 1 penny on it. you really only spend if you want and the game is updated every month and a half so it's not a game made to be played 10 hours a day every day in a maximum of 2 hours you can do everything you need
This is the search for a long-lost sibling and a trip through seven nations, each with its own element, trials, tribulations, and memories discovered along the way.
He's not talking about UIDs in the game, he's talking about literal IP addresses. Even when you fill out surveys when sending feedback about the game (in the game itself) there's a written text which says that by providing your feedback you're also providing your IP address to the company. But don't worry, the IP tracking disables once you exit the game.
@@BulletSponge71436 they know your ip address either way bc you connect to their servers when playing, you know since its an online game... and its not like ip addresses give out any relevant information other than rough estimate on where you live, which who cares if they know that? People are overestimating on how important ip addresses are
Genshin Impact is an instanced single player with multi player elements. You don't need to play with friends, nor do you actually need to spend money. It is somewhat time consuming because there is a mechanic to prevent you from playing 24/7, which you probably won't mind if you have a day job.
The Story of the Game is a masterpiece it's really Complex and you can't Just say this Person is Evil, because that person that a good Motive for their actions. For Starters, it Starts with two sibkings, twins, Aether and Lumine who are Said to be Stars, coming to Teyvat(the worlds Name) and wanting to leave it when a unknown god encounters them and doesn't allow it, taking either the sister(or the Brother depending who you choose as Option) away and you as the twin wake Up and found a travel companion going on a Long Journey searching for your sister throught all Seven Nations, (currently the Game is Not even half way throught, so only 4 Nations), all 7 Nations have or had a god, that is also called Archon(each of These gods has their own Element and their own ideal), while you travel throught These Nations you search for the 7 Archons and come across crisis in the Nations that you lend a Hand to solve and rescue. On your Journey you also Encounter many people under normal ones the characters that have Special Powers, using one of the the 7 elements. Discovering backstories,... There is a lot to say, I recommend playing it yourself, it's worth it!
Summary of the lore:You and your sibling are world explorers but after coming to tevat( the world you play in) you both get stoped by some sort of god on your way out and are separated Then you wake up 500 years later fish out paimon and both of you start looking for your sibling by looking for the 7 archons/gods to ask them about your sibling (since a god is the one who attacked you) and every nation you go to in order to meet there god there is some sort of plot made by the fatui (who are the army of the ice godess) or the abyss order (who is still a big mystery) So now you have to stop this plot to ask the god about your sibling only for them to lie about not knowing or just strait up tell you I can't tell you for some reason and the people hang up missing person posters That covers the driving force of the plot but there are sooooo many details (Like each individual plot in each nation) good luck finding all of them
Have played the game. Its honestly fun. Not everyone's cup of tea, but its a great game with a good story and mechanics and some of the best music I've heard in a while. That said, the game is grindy. Not even money will bypass the grind. So no, paying will not get you more power (other than constellations but that is whale bait and 80% of the time its a bad investment). The game is meant to be played as a marathon. Trying to sprint it will get you burnt out. That said, you can beat the hardest content of the game with F2P characters. The game is not designed to make you pay. It is designed to make you pay REPEATEDLY. This is an important distinction. It is a GENUINELY GOOD GAME. And there in lies the problem. You might feel justified to spend because the game is good. The devs deliberately designed it as a slow burn game so that you engage with the gacha system more. And to that end, they give you a fuck ton of free pulls as the premium currency given by the game literally comes from everywhere. I recommend watching Necrit's review of the game. But basically, if you do not have self control, do not play the game. This is coming from someone playing since launch.
Genshin is a very fun game that can consume your life if you enjoy the style. It's able to be played without any in-game purchases, but you are then relying entirely on luck. The story goes that the main characters, selectable between a male and female sibling, are traveling the cosmos and come across Teyvat where they are attacked by an unknown God. The one you choose drops to the land and is left needing to search for their now missing sibling. You start in Mondstat and learn the first bit of the world as you help them deal with their dragon-god(ish) problem. Following Mondstat you head to Liyue to ask about your sibling, where you learn more about the world after their god is killed by someone/something unknown. You barely manage to stop a group known as the Fatui from doing bad stuff only to find out you didn't stop them and now have to help with Liyue's dragon-god problem. Twice. And then you help with a different dragon-god problem afterwards. You then head to Inazuma to ask their god about your sibling only to realize that the god is a problem. After becoming embroiled in their civil war, you find out the Fatui are doing some bad just and barely manage to put a stop to it, only to find out that you failed to put a stop to it. You then fight the god of Inazuma and make her realize that people don't like the way she is ruling, so she changes her ways. After Inazuma is Sumeru, where you go to ask the god of knowledge about your sibling. You find out that the Academia are doing so bad stuff to the citizens and the god, so you work to put a stop to them. Along the way, you find out the the Academia are being supported by the Fatui so you put a stop to them by fighting the Academia's god. Not the god of knowledge, mind you. They rejected her.
I know genshin is not everyone's game. as a player for 2 years, this game has good story, fun gameplay and good musics. gacha/gambling systems actually not that bad, this game is friendly to free players, really and you don't have to spend any cent to genshin. for some children are playable in the game is not represent any bad intentions, rather some people took the joke seriously. my team is klee, kazuha, bennet, and Barbara.
Most of everything he says in these videos are jokes, Genshin does have a really strong anti-cheat so the joke about China trying to spy on you just writes itself
The story is surprisingly good, and the underlying lore is even gooder I wouldn't know where to even start There's a channel called Ashikai that has a bunch of great lore videos, there's one explaining the story so far I think The game is fine in terms of content, the "questionable" thing is the degenerate subset of the community. Fandoms di be like that, it's better to just enjoy things on your own.
6:20 I personally love weapons with elemental mastery because I am a SUCKER for elemental reactions! My favorite character, however, is Xiao. The only one who doesn't do a lot of elemental reactions. 19:05 He was just goofing around. Your stuff is safe. The game is fun and you won't mess up your device with it. The game is addicting and also the best thing I've ever played. I HIGHLY recommend you play it, but do it with a friend! It's much more fun with a friend! 21:53 No! You CAN spend money to make it easier, but you can still play and enjoy the game for free and do just as well! It takes more effort and time, but you don't have to spend money!
Genshin is so misunderstood game, the story is great, the gameplay is so good. Only issue is brobably community but most are good tho. If you do not like gacha you do not need to do it at all since the game is yotally f2p
Overall story: You are one of two twins, and both of you are celestial beings who you visited countless worlds. However, upon visiting Teyvat (the world of genshin), a "god" blocks your path and separates you from your sibling. The story of the game has you traveling across the 7 nations of teyvat trying to find your twin. Along the way, you learn about the world, its past and present, meeting 100s of different characters along the way, which leads you the learn the "truth" of this world, and the implications this may have on your sibling. There are 7 nations in Teyvat that the player travels through. Mondstadt (Wind nation, called Anemo, titled City of Freedom), Liyue (Earth nation, called Geo, titled Nation of Contracts), Inazuma (Electric nation, called Electro, titled Nation of Eternity), Sumeru (Plant nation, called Dendro, titled Land of Knowledge), Fontain ([Unreleased] Water Nation, called Hydro, Nation of Justice.), Natlan ([Unreleased], Fire Nation, called Pyro, Nation of War) and finally Snezhnaya (I can't spell it) ([Unreleased], Ice nation, called Cryo, Nation of Love). Each nation has its own unique environment and exploration mechanics as well as unique NPCs that depict the nation's social structure. There are however, other, "untold" nations. So far we have 5 extra. (Khanrei'ah, Deshret, Enkanomiya, Chasm Underground and Dragonspine) (I'm trying to keep it spoiler free) The game is not done yet. Of the 7 nations we have, 4 are introduced. 3 more to go, which mean the story will take another 4 years to complete entirely.
@@BulletSponge71436 They defo are, specially since the game itself refer to them as travelers of celestial atlas. Just to be clear, Celestial Beings does not mean they come from celestia. Celestial beings means they come from space. The sun, earth and moons are celestial objects. Since Aether and Lumine are depicted as comets, they are "Celestial" beings.
6:20 if you have a main dps that's a catalyst. i would highly recommend that you use otherworldly story, you pretty much heal yourself every time you pick up an elemental particle.
To be EXTREMELY brief about the story so far, you got stuck in this world while travelling through the dimensions with your twin, you start your journey to find them, come across nations/cities belonging to a certain god of a certain element, learn a bit of world history, meet villains who might make you swing both ways, meet gods who might do the same, finding out more about the world, and ya, something like that. It's just the 3rd year, there's at least 4 more years before the story "ends". As for whether it's worth playing, it all depends on the person's self control. If they can't control their gamble instincts, then no, I don't think they should play. All gacha games aim for the gambling instincts within everyone, so if you can't control it, then don't play any gacha games. But if you're fine with slower paced and enjoy digging up lores and stories from side quests and can control your hands to stay away from that credit card, then sure. It's a beautiful and fun game to play. (Don't judge without experiencing it for yourself.) For the IP address part, I think all online games will have your IP address stored since you use your IP to ping their servers. And Yeah...... Nahida a 10. As you said, can anime be normal? She's not actually 10. :) And as you already know, I'll just say this so that others who don't know can see. Max0r videos are for the memes. Don't take the stuff too seriously.
Why do you instantly start thinking of questionable things whenever children characters are involved.... They're cute nothing more to it than that.. the game doesn't sexualise them in any way so I really don't get the fuss from some people.
Basic story, a set of twins, Aether and Lumine, get separated by an unknown god and you choose one of them and you have to travel around to find the other and at one point, you do find them but they tell you to experience Teyvat and see for yourself and that still hasn’t been finished
That god sounds like the actual worst. So what's with the team then? Do you play as four randos or just as your one person travelling with four randos?
About the falling part. He pressed the Attack button right before touching ground so the ploung attack could cancel the original fall and land safely Hope nobody hates this comment
Wait, what questionable situations about genshin are you talking about? Is it about the lolis? That's pretty standard to anime and anime games lol. Only 7 out of 65+ characters are lolis. The rest are mostly adults and teens. Also, the majority of the playable characters in the game has no official age except for some and the gods. Also also, genshin isn't that confusing on it's combat and gameplay mechanics since it slowly tells you about them to avoid overloading players. Like you have an entire tutorial region to learn them. Maxor just like to blast them all within 5s mixed with sarcasm and jokes.
I'm still only in the second area of the game (The Chinese place) so I'm not exactly qualified to give a story summary. But the basic plot is that you and your brother/sister got your butts kicked by a god, your brother disappeared and you got sent into this world. Now you're trying to find the 7 different gods that each stand for a different element and nation, because they're the most likely people to know who that god was that attacked you and where your sibling is. And while you're doing that, you get tangled up in each nation's problems as you visit them.
the lore is the main reason i play the game and much of it is quite dark, like who the Hilichurals actually are for example (that i won't reveal because of spoilers) and multiple cases of human sacrifice (including children), i have not played since version 2.6 (it is on version 3.5 now) though as i got a little too addicted to the gacha and it is a money trap (i am pretty poor already so suffice to say i avoid playing it), so i watch videos of people playing it and learn the lore that way now Also Nahida is at least 500 years old but still young by god standards (so don't lewd her)
this hellscape game catches u as soon as you get to your first adventure, ive been playing for almost 2 years and regrettably spent $250 on only 3 characters, i have taken breaks off the game because it can get very draining at times, but it is fun when your not forcing yourself to play it. though its not to say you NEED to pay to make an impact, heck i use characters that i haven't spent a penny on and its one of my most powerful teams. Genshin isnt for everyone and it can get very slow at times, especially late game. Currently the story is on its 4th region and those who have already played all the story are only able to do daily commisions and spend their resin (basically ur daily money tbh) and really its a huge game with exploration that will take you days to weeks and even months to complete. All the different elements interact with each other to make different reactions which deal increased damage to enemies, and usually your team will correlate with the reaction you want. For example, vaporize is when fire and water meet, and certain characters can be thrown together to make that reaction happen over and over again, like what maxor used in the video he dubbed "hot shower by force" in the liyue section, having Hu Tao, Yelan, Xingqiu, and Thoma, which is full of fire and water characters. For me and many others, i have multiple teams i quite like which cause different reactions, sometimes more than one reaction, but the one i use most is Yelan, Alhaitham, Lisa, and Yaoyao. Yelan is a water/hydro applier and is great for exploration with her elemental skill allowing you to run pretty fast and applying hydro to anyone who is in your path. Alhaitham is a plant/dendro dps, he deals insane amount of dendro damage when you apply his element skill and do normal attacks to enemies. Lisa is a electric/electro dps/support, she is able to deal electro damage to enemies with her being a mage very quickly. Yaoyao is a dendro applier and a healer, her little friend yuguei, i dont know how to spell chinese names bro, throws radishes at enemies to deal damage, it can also throw radishes at the player to heal them. this team causes, many reactions such as bloom (hydro and dendro), hyperbloom (bloom but with electro), quicken (electro and dendro), aggravate (quicken but more electro, yes i know its confusing dendro is complicated), spread (quicken but more dendro), and electro charged (hydro and electro), proud to say its my second best team with 0 money towards it. weapons and actually building the characters, called farming/grinding, can take weeks to months without any money, but it is very enjoyable and you are able to play whoever you like, step on me mommy type characters, cute little children who can just run around and have fun, tall husbands who can talk your ear off about wine, femboys who make me question my gender, and "normal" teen girls and boys who have some kind of mental disorder i pretty sure. Long story short, its a fun game, very complicated, a variety of places and characters, and a way to lose all of your money without going to vegas :D
I'm pretty sure the only reason people pay for characters is if you specifically like that character, and want to make them stronger (having more than one of the same character unlocks passive abilities), but it's definitely not required, and the game even gives you a few of each elemtal characters to start with in the prologue quest. Not to mention, the gatcha system (like Maxor pointed out) has a system in place to make it so that way people that are smart with their rolls don't have to pay real money for characters they want, they just save up their in game reward currency, or get lucky. Persoanlly, even though It's a Gatcha game I don't think it really matters too much, and a lot of people let the label completely turn them away from it.
I mean, it's fine, it's not for everyone. Honestly, the story is pretty pg-13 (if you don't count background lore, which goes dark at some points, kinda in the Dark Fantasy territory, which is awesome btw, but for the most part it's wholesome, sometimes the humour is childish tho. At times, some of the stories are really moving. There are multiple of them, and then there's a main story.) You mention the child characters are your red flag. Let me assure you, Genshin goes nowhere but wholesome when it comes to those characters. But I get it, Anime kinda trained us to see kids in anime and think, "oh, you better not...". Well, Genshin does not. Lol. It's not pay to win either, since there's no pvp and several TH-camrs have been playing the game free and already proved you can clear the game without spending a dime (I can also attest to that, lol. Haven't paid for a character yet). I get that some people are more susceptible to this tho, so proceed with caution regardless. For the story, Max0r was mainly memeing. It's kinda like inside jokes, but I get that from the outside looking in, it sounds awful. Lol I'm not selling Genshin, like I said, it's not for everyone. Just trying to clarify misconceptions about the game. The ip tracking is game related and it shuts down when you're not playing the game. I'm not too familiar with it, so if anyone can explain it better, please do. But that's it. Hope this helped?
Favorite character: Kazuha. Sacrificial sword is fun with him if you have that, it not only helps refuel his burst(some games call this an "ultimate") but it has the ability to end the cooldown on his skill if you do damage with it so you can use it twice. Basically you become a maple tornado of death and destruction. Kokomi(the one max0r calls his "kock") video is fantastic as a healer and hydro applicator for elemental reactions. I use her on burgeon(Dendro+hydro to spawn dendro cores then add pyro to make them go boom)/Hyperbloom(same as burgeon but you add electo instead of pyro to make homing bullets) teams. Kokomi can also run on water but it's not that useful since it's only during her burst which is both on a timer and you need enemies to build it back up after it's used
4:40 Fischl is actually a caring and sweet girl that roleplays as an omnipotent Princess with godly powers (and due to how the world she lives in works, she actually GAINS some of that godly powers, in a way). She is what's called a 'chuunibyou', or 'second year syndrome' because despite being older she acts like 2nd year middle-school kids that create in their mind a fantasy world where they are mystical creatures with great powers. 10:20 on TH-cam you can use the , and . keys to go backward or forward frame by frame while pausing. REALLY useful for watching Max0r's videos.
It's slightly concerning how you're freaking out at any mention of children. Like, they exist, wow. They can be characters and people can find them adorable and funny, i don't understand what's your problem with that. Also, i wish you stopped taking everything Max0r says so seriously. The number that is shown in game is your User ID number. Its the way you add people as freinds and also you could buy stuff for people off the website when putting in their UID
there is no conclusion in the story yet :D in this video (which is completely caught up with the game somehow) shows 4 ''lands'' and there are alteast 3 more to come in the future maybe more.. who knows..basicly you are looking for your lost twin who got ''kidnapped'' at the very beginning of the game.. and we know that the person who did it is some sort of a god or something.. and this world is ruled by 7 gods who won the god war many years ago.. so basicly we are traveling through each nation while looking for said ''being'' and gathering information and power to beat them.. each Nation however has its own problem which we need to solve before meeting the god in ''charge'' of that nation to ask them questions and then we move on to the next one :D for the paying topic.. you dont need to pay anyhting.. all locations/quests/events are free to play.. only thing you can pay is characters and weapons but you can like save up while playing so its not like you cant get new characters while not paying.. it will just be less characters than those who pay :D like you wont be able to get them all but alteast like a half of them..
There's nothing wrong with having chibi characters in anime. The only reason Maxor made that joke about Nahida is because people like this exist. He knows people will respond negatively to any chibi/child character, just like all those people who spam "FBI!" when they first think of her in that way, and she is never sexualized in-game. Oh, the irony. A normal reaction would be: "aw, she is so cute."
@@ToyotaCorolla-en2mv Why was there a need for him to react like this to Max0rs joke? Max0r: "Nahida is... I can explain :(. My girl a 10, but she is 10." Chicago Reacts: "Okay, alright, here come the red flags. Sigh, can't anime ever be normal. I know what I said earlier about we're all normal, the worlds just crazy, but common anime."
@@ToyotaCorolla-en2mv Max0r was joking, as I literally said in my first comment. I'm very late to this, but it's interesting that you mention the Tokugawa Era - not to over-spoil, but Inazuma is a sendup of Tokugawa Japan, with the travel ban and the equivalent of the Sword Edict.
Simply said, The Game is free with a TON of Content to enjoy (and not enjoy, I hate the Fishing part ngl hahahaha), BUT IT IS NOT WORTH PAYING. Been Playing for 2 years with no cent spent, You really don't need to spend to enjoy the game, as in any thing in Teyvat is free for you to Explore and Discover. But the other characters are obtained in the gacha (or limited events) and Gacha is basically Gambling, you can get characters just by playing the game and even earn some as you do the dailies, events, quests, etc.
@@Jev_the_fluorescent_shrimp ok thats Valid, I just dont want any over spenders, Montly is Ok and honestly the most affordable decision in terms of spending.
basic summary; brother and sister (the two playable characters chosen at game start) enter the world like a meteor. they are separated by the gods, cuz they're pricks. player character makes their team and runs around looking for clues to their family's whereabouts. players have to side quest to gain allies (with intel) and resources for their travel. While settling decades to centuries old conflicts between factions, including forces of nature. Lost sibling is found towards the endgame. Supposedly, rewrites are common depending on gameplay.
if I remember corectly the game has put permissions on your kernals in your pc its for "anticheat" but im personally skeptical if china does see my data theyll see alot anti ccp memes from me
the anticheat is simply able to scan all your files for cheats while the game is running. Its not any worse than other anticheats, people are just paranoid bc its a chinese game
Bruh almost all games that need a connection to the internet and have an anti cheat have this kernel level of inti cheat... You would be surprised that your beloved triple A game from the west you play has that too running on your system.. like the person above saying people are just Paranoid because it's their first Chinese game.
@@JohnCivor its more that said Chinese game has to kowtow to the whims of the CCP whereas your AAA game studio, if their in the US at any rate, doesn't.
Don't take it seriously sir even maxor said it , just take it as entertainment. Genshin really cool sir, the story good and become more darker as far we get. The age 18th consent this game is more of the story and the mechanics. The music, the exploration of environment really relaxing. Even hearing the music and some of the story make me emotional 😭. This game is free even u can get those 5star, just patient and self control. U won't know if u not try it. For my team , my favorite element is Geo(earth) because i dumb at evading , Geo element give u protection and high raw damage without doing much combo. And i love spear/polearm weapon because it's the fastest weapon in game. U should try it sir, at least
Well there a reason why everyone fell bad about Hilichurls is that later we get to know many sad thing about their story and life. Basically there was huge nation that was living with out god - Khaenri'ah. So gods dont like it, destroy it and cursed everyone there to become monsters. Kids, adults just everyone. And now they live in pain for eternity. They was still remembering who they was. But after time they loose themselfs. It's huge part of the story of Genshin. Because this nation don't want to to give up so easily. And during that battle they kicked the crap out of all the other nations. And those nations still feel the consequences to this day. Not to mention the fact that the people of that nation became not only hilichurls but other monsters as well. And most of them united in the Abyss Order. A group that wants to take revenge on the gods, break the curse, and restore their nation. And who have long been plotting against everyone and everything. He said one thing in the video that very much fits the description of this situation. "It is a post-apocalyptic world". The apocalypse is the destruction of the khaenri'ah. After which the whole world went f*cked up. And everything started to fall apart. So basically it's truly is post-apocalyptic world
The overall story is not something one can just explain, as Genshins story is not built around the player, but instead the world building is so strong that you feel like each area is it's own story that you just happened to come across. The first area that acknowledges you as the god hunting magical alien being is Fontaine which came out like maybe a week ago. Being asked to describe Genshins story is borderline impossible, as I could write a 10 page essay about every tiny area in the game. In short, the player has been separated from their sibling by an unknown god after which you enter a 500 year old coma and no person in the world of Teyvat can identify the god from the description of it, so you decide to go on a long journey to meet every still living god remaining from the archon war which reduced the number of gods from the speculated 72 to just 7. However, on your way, you cross your way with the Fatui who are the main antagonist faction led by the god of ice in the game that's on a quest to collect all gnosis from the remaining gods, which are basically tools that they use to connect to heaven and draw power from it, but their motive is not yet confirmed, however a lot of people believe it's because the god of ice wants to destroy heaven. Something that the main character doesn't pick up on is that the gods don't really mind that the ice god is collecting all of them and therefore a lot of people believe the other gods are supporting the ice god, potentially setting up the player to team up with the ice god in the future against heaven. Also, it's revealed fairly soon that the sibling that you were separated from never went into a coma like you and instead became the prince/princess of the second main antagonistic faction, the Abyss Order. And that's just scraping the top. The story and lore is psychotic to say the least and I absolutely love it. If I'd recommend the game or no is something I can't really comment on, if it looks fun to you then go ahead, it not, you can keep your soul instead of paying with it for children in this game. I would however 1000% recommend you to watch the story, as especially by the time you get to Sumeru, it gets really good And to adress the question you had about people getting your IP adress and more, that's not really a concern you need to have. The problem is that the games anticheat has ring-0 permission on your kernel which simply means that it can access any part of your pc, and because it's a Chinese game, the Chinese government can request the information the game has for any reason they see fit And lastly, Max0r is read as Maxor, the 0 is just read as o Thanks for reading
I have seen the first video so much, i recognize a lot of used jokes from his first video. Probably biased to say this, but they are on point like the 8:20 one.
Uhh about story it really takes a long time, because you need to understand every single detail (yeah, Hoyo likes to do that). Rather spoilery: But for main story, which this is thrown into your face, Prologue is at Mondstadt, so they give basic stuff, and things relatively peaceful (on the surface) Liyue is started getting something, clues and 'ceremonies' Inazuma getting somewhere, but people said its bad because they apparently cannot descipher why the story is like this. (Quite dark backstory on each island, and stuff, its a hard detail to find because its not on the main story, but apparently a child is skinned alive and presented the kid's blood in a gobled as a sacrifice) Sumeru, a strategy and illusion, deceive, and forgotten (i cannot say more, it is a big spoiler, even this is a spoiler)
People say the Inazuma storyline is bad because it's bad. Lore you listed doesn't count, only the actual story, no one is debating if the lore is good - everyone knows it is.
@@Jev_the_fluorescent_shrimp The Inazuma story is supposed to be the act 1 low point, where MC no longer really knows what they're trying to do since they've just learned that their sibling doesn't want to be rescued and is up to some weird stuff. A lot of people oversimplified what was going on in it by taking Ei's statements about the Shogun at face value (as well as not realising that Yae is talking about herself just as much as Ei when she talks about being childish), when her quest makes it pretty clear she had no idea what it was doing or what was going on in her country.
Btw to answer your main concern... No you don't have to spend a single dollar in the game, you can beat the game with a Dull sword if you truly wish, and also Weapons and character, etc.. is LUCK based so people may pay 2000$ and still have worse dmg then you. It's a pay to ATTEMPT for convenience, which is why I don't do it and am perfectly enjoying the game still.
Personally, I would not recommend it unless you have the patience, self-control and not care how others play it. I didn't built my teams, luck did. I just use what works with what I have.
I'm glad I got off that train a year and a half ago, and went back to it's less popular older sister, Honkai Impact 3rd. I'm not going back to it ever. I would rather be subjected to the depression heavy Evangelion inspired story of cute girls undergoing galactic levels of psychological trauma of the latter than the former. Which also shoves quantum metaphysics, religion and philosophy in a gacha game.

If you're wondering the Game and it's content is completely Free and accessable other than Characters and some Weapons
The Game gives you free Stuffs to beat the game without paying, people pay for characters usually because of their Playstyles or Funny Numbers
Sorry, my English is horrible, I am not from EUA
@@BulletSponge71436 Which is why I say never play gacha if you have no restraint on money. You are right that most don't have that restraint at all.
Also I have been playing since the very first day and have never felt any pressure. If anything it's so easy that I feel pressured to make my teams worse just for a challenge.
Most of the things Max0r says are jokes/memes/sarcasm, whatever you wanna call it, so don't take him to heart :D
Some of the things you said are not quite correct, but the rest is written good.
Xingqiu, that is a weird way to spell Yelan :P
@@zukodude487987 I actually did try to pull Yelan (that's actually how I got my Xingqiu), but I lost my 50/50 to Keqing. But I like having Chongyun and Xingqiu on the same team, so I'd probably not use her.
@@bookswithike3256 My team is just mommies and a kindergarden girl.
I feel like half the reason to play any character is because you like the design. Excellent choices are being made.
16:42 please note that nothing Max0r says should be taken as fact. The guys he was just fighting are basically thieves and bandits.
70% of our bad reputation come from hater in Twitter)
Our community is mixed bag of people who enjoy the gameplay, story, meme, mini game, glitch, graphic, waifu/ husbando, music and lore.
You know Nahida isnt supposed to be a fighter but the fact that the 500 year old child prisoner can do 30+ k damage tto mostly anything when paired with electro and hydro via playing hopscotch is a fucking threat.
a few thoughts on the game of mine and honestly thank you for asking its nice that you're asking alot of questions about the game glad we've got your curiosity one way or another haha
1- well by the ip address he meant the in game like- special account id that every player has a unique one, basically people can use that id to join your world and stuff but it's kinda possible to get your acc hacked from your uid if you're not careful? it's not literally your ip
2- the game's co-op is actually fun but the only downside is that pvp isn't a thing in genshin so ye
3- btw the gambling thing is kind of true-? i mean the game has this thing called FOMO, fear of missing out, yeah there's really insanely good temporary events, character banners that you can spend in game currency on and get in game rewards from, problem is they're....like i said, temporary so if you really want a character or a weapon you like either pray you get lucky or hand over your wallet over to the company thats how it works haha.
Thanks for this! It's super informative!
I like to use MC for all story quests :)
I didnot lvl up all characters to max or upgrade their weapons to max, and can still beat everything except 'abyss' challenge.
This game in all honesty, has been one of the best and most complete experiences I've played in my life
18:55 no its not hes just memeing if you understand what that is like 80% of hes video is a meme thats why its entertaining so dont take everything he said is Accurate Fact and even if it is true it has 65million active player and still growing and 500k to 1M players online it depends when what day or if theres events it can go up more! also its questionable because of the normies who dont like anime style game and people who hates genshin for some reason and people who spends money and then hated the game afterwards when you can laterally play the game without spending money... i been playing for 3years and spend $0 Best F2P game! for a mobile game its masterpiece!!! the only way i will quit this game is ether the game is done or i D!E.
Genshin Impact is actually an extremely good game and you absolutely don't need to spend 1 penny on it.
you really only spend if you want
and the game is updated every month and a half so it's not a game made to be played 10 hours a day every day in a maximum of 2 hours you can do everything you need
This is the search for a long-lost sibling and a trip through seven nations, each with its own element, trials, tribulations, and memories discovered along the way.
the thing with the ip address is a joke, it just displays your user ID in the corner which people can use to send you friend requests

Summary of the lore:You and your sibling are world explorers but after coming to tevat( the world you play in) you both get stoped by some sort of god on your way out and are separated
Then you wake up 500 years later fish out paimon and both of you start looking for your sibling by looking for the 7 archons/gods to ask them about your sibling (since a god is the one who attacked you) and every nation you go to in order to meet there god there is some sort of plot made by the fatui (who are the army of the ice godess) or the abyss order (who is still a big mystery)
So now you have to stop this plot to ask the god about your sibling only for them to lie about not knowing or just strait up tell you I can't tell you for some reason and the people hang up missing person posters
That covers the driving force of the plot but there are sooooo many details (Like each individual plot in each nation) good luck finding all of them
4:50 In the easiest way explained:
Lvl1: fish a fairy
Lvl100: rebel against God, defeat the devil and masacre humanity
It's a max0r video flashing lights aren't optional there mandatory
I know genshin is not everyone's game. as a player for 2 years, this game has good story, fun gameplay and good musics.
gacha/gambling systems actually not that bad, this game is friendly to free players, really and you don't have to spend any cent to genshin.

my team is klee, kazuha, bennet, and Barbara.
Most of everything he says in these videos are jokes, Genshin does have a really strong anti-cheat so the joke about China trying to spy on you just writes itself
The story is surprisingly good, and the underlying lore is even gooder
I wouldn't know where to even start
There's a channel called Ashikai that has a bunch of great lore videos, there's one explaining the story so far I think
The game is fine in terms of content, the "questionable" thing is the degenerate subset of the community. Fandoms di be like that, it's better to just enjoy things on your own.

I personally love weapons with elemental mastery because I am a SUCKER for elemental reactions!
My favorite character, however, is Xiao. The only one who doesn't do a lot of elemental reactions.

He was just goofing around. Your stuff is safe. The game is fun and you won't mess up your device with it. The game is addicting and also the best thing I've ever played. I HIGHLY recommend you play it, but do it with a friend! It's much more fun with a friend!

No!
Overall story:
You are one of two twins, and both of you are celestial beings who you visited countless worlds.
(Khanrei'ah, Deshret, Enkanomiya, Chasm Underground and Dragonspine)
(I'm trying to keep it spoiler free)
The game is not done yet. Of the 7 nations we have, 4 are introduced. 3 more to go, which mean the story will take another 4 years to complete entirely.
I don't think that the Siblings are some sort of celestial beings.
@@BulletSponge71436 celestial as in godly and heavenly, not referring to Celestia aka Heavenly Principles
Something that maybe be of help with the pauseing part is after pauseing use the "," and "." keys to go back and advance the video frame by frame.
6:20 if you have a main dps that's a catalyst. i would highly recommend that you use otherworldly story, you pretty much heal yourself every time you pick up an elemental particle.
That's probably my 7th time watching that video
(Don't judge without experiencing it for yourself.)
For the IP address part, I think all online games will have your IP address stored since you use your IP to ping their servers. And
Yeah...... Nahida a 10. As you said, can anime be normal? She's not actually 10. :)
And as you already know, I'll just say this so that others who don't know can see.
@@ChicagoReacts When you start, you’re given 3 free characters, Amber, Kaeya, and Lisa, basically, starters. The others you get through the gatcha

I'm guessing he is talking about the Tighnari situation.
"funny numbers" is a perfect way to describe
I'm still only in the second area of the game (The Chinese place) so I'm not exactly qualified to give a story summary. But the basic plot is that you and your brother/sister got your butts kicked by a god, your brother disappeared and you got sent into this world. Now you're trying to find the 7 different gods that each stand for a different element and nation, because they're the most likely people to know who that god was that attacked you and where your sibling is. And while you're doing that, you get tangled up in each nation's problems as you visit them.
Fun fact: "." And "," are used to go frame-by-frame in the youtube player.
the lore is the main reason i play the game and much of it is quite dark, like who the Hilichurals actually are for example (that i won't reveal because of spoilers) and multiple cases of human sacrifice (including children), i have not played since version 2.6 (it is on version 3.5 now) though as i got a little too addicted to the gacha and it is a money trap (i am pretty poor already so suffice to say i avoid playing it), so i watch videos of people playing it and learn the lore that way now
Also Nahida is at least 500 years old but still young by god standards (so don't lewd her)
Haha nic comment as a f2p i got tons of character without spending a single money....
this hellscape game catches u as soon as you get to your first adventure, ive been playing for almost 2 years and regrettably spent $250 on only 3 characters, i have taken breaks off the game because it can get very draining at times, but it is fun when your not forcing yourself to play it.
though its not to say you NEED to pay to make an impact, heck i use characters that i haven't spent a penny on and its one of my most powerful teams.
There are multiple of them, and then there's a main story.)
You mention the child characters are your red flag.
Lol
I'm not selling Genshin, like I said, it's not for everyone.
The dude is joking and exaggerating 90% of time

there is no conclusion in the story yet :D in this video (which is completely caught up with the game somehow) shows 4 ''lands'' and there are alteast 3 more to come in the future maybe more.. who knows..basicly you are looking for your lost twin who got ''kidnapped'' at the very beginning of the game.. and we know that the person who did it is some sort of a god or something.. and this world is ruled by 7 gods who won the god war many years ago.. so basicly we are traveling through each nation while looking for said ''being'' and gathering information and power to beat them.. each Nation however has its own problem which we need to solve before meeting the god in ''charge'' of that nation to ask them questions and then we move on to the next one :D for the paying topic.. you dont need to pay anyhting.. all locations/quests/events are free to play.. only thing you can pay is characters and weapons but you can like save up while playing so its not like you cant get new characters while not paying.. it will just be less characters than those who pay :D like you wont be able to get them all but alteast like a half of them..
Don't take what Max0r says *too* seriously. He vastly exagerates aspects of the game for comedic effect, but it is generally a pretty good game.

I would however 1000% recommend you to watch the story, as especially by the time you get to Sumeru, it gets really good
And to adress the question you had about people getting your IP adress and more, that's not really a concern you need to have. The problem is that the games anticheat has ring-0 permission on your kernel which simply means that it can access any part of your pc, and because it's a Chinese game, the Chinese government can request the information the game has for any reason they see fit
And lastly, Max0r is read as Maxor, the 0 is just read as o
Thanks for reading

Uhh about story it really takes a long time, because you need to understand every single detail (yeah, Hoyo likes to do that).
Rather spoilery:
But for main story, which this is thrown into your face, Prologue is at Mondstadt, so they give basic stuff, and things relatively peaceful (on the surface)
Liyue is started getting something, clues and 'ceremonies'
Inazuma getting somewhere, but people said its bad because they apparently cannot descipher why the story is like this. (Quite dark backstory on each island, and stuff, its a hard detail to find because its not on the main story, but apparently a child is skinned alive and presented the kid's blood in a gobled as a sacrifice)
Sumeru, a strategy and illusion, deceive, and forgotten (i cannot say more, it is a big spoiler, even this is a spoiler)
The "fairy tales" in the in-game books are dark sometimes
People say the Inazuma storyline is bad because it's bad. Lore you listed doesn't count, only the actual story, no one is debating if the lore is good - everyone knows it is.
@@Jev_the_fluorescent_shrimp
The Inazuma story is supposed to be the act 1 low point, where MC no longer really knows what they're trying to do since they've just learned that their sibling doesn't want to be rescued and is up to some weird stuff.
