I'm sure I emulated this one at some point. fun little racer! though I really love the spiritual successor on MSX, F1 Spirit! because yeah it's pretty basic.

I programmed C64 games from 1993-1999. I couldn't draw, but PETSCII allowed for some pretty nice looking graphics.
I wish we got this in the US, it seems really fun despite its simplicity.
I remember R.C. Pro-Am having similar sound design but perhaps better road fighting...
