As far as short-lived lines go, I was a big fan of Human Alliance. It was like the return of Diaclone, randomly and unceremoniously shoved into a movie sub-line and then quickly dropped. The human figures weren't too bad either, with good articulation and some cool names like Master Disaster or Major Altitude. It'd be cool to see that idea for other continuities like G1, Unicron Trilogy, Prime, etc.
I've never owned a Human Alliance figure, but the one I would really like is Soundwave. I have seen Emgo316's review of the figure and while the massive size of the arms compared to the somewhat stumpy legs is a bit odd, I still find the figure to be detailed and great looking.
I once got that Lio Convoy as a freebie with a first run MP Starscream (the one with the realistic colors) on an auction site. Gave Lio Convoy to my sister for her 18th birthday since it is her favorite transformer. She put him in a plexiglass box and she still has it.
This line had my first transformer in it: double face. Even though it was a knockoff, I still loved it. If it wasnt for that fig, I may have never wanted to start collecting. Thanks for covering this toyline TJ.
I had a knock off of Double Face from a dollar store that actually felt really good in hand. Wish I still had it. Also, I love how that RM BW Megatron T-rex's face expression looks like he's chuckling at his own joke.

@@javivaki Maybe. Mine says it was made bu polyfecttoys on the exhaust. One of the reasons I didnt get into transforming toys sooner: I could never identify the guy I had. Wasnt until a friend and a youtuber that helped me start collecting and learn his name.
17:30 I think the closest we got in "recent" memory, was Longarm Prime from animated. While that is not even close, it is what I would consider the closest we have had since.

I loved Robot Maters, they were my first toyline in Transformers, the KO ones that is. After graduationnl and when I got my first job, I've been hunting the auth ones, got Prime, Primal, Burning Beast Convoy, Rebirth/Reverse Convoy, Star Saber the Seekers etc. Man, they've re-ignited my love for robots, mechas and super robots. Robot Masters Star Saber is the only affordable toy of that character, and thus i'm grateful for its existance. Unfortunately mine broke very quickly when the sword hilt snapped off and became stuck in Star Saber's hand. Oh well.
having watched English fandubs of the Robot Master episodes, I can confidently say it is among my *favorite* Transformers media I have ever seen and I *wish* there was a full series of it.
I've never heard of this line, I thought you were doing some Mega Man joke about some of the Mega Man Robot Masters that can transform, like Turbo Man that transforms into a race car, or Ground Man that turns into a driller, lol

Robotmasters was CHUG before CHUG. The best G1 Seeker mold up to that point. Beast Megatron, Optimus Primal, Lio Convoy and Victory Leo were great new molds. I was lucky enough to get oversized versions of Air Hunter, Wingstun, Wrecker Hook, Star Sabre and Victory Leo. RM Mirage is still my favourite Mirage figure 18 years on. Love the chrome rifle. He looks great with the Diaclones. Very good light piping too. There's a nice fandub of the cgi shorts.
Dido for me too TJ Omega, the minute I feasted my eyes on Reverse Convoy I loved the concept, if Hasbro was adventurous enough they would give us this figure but it would probably be in the Generations Selects lineup.
I actually had a semi-bootleg pack of Robot Master toys I picked up at a dollar store. Came with two of the laser cycles, Sideways and I don't remember what the other one was, and Victory Leo and Star Saber. The cycles and Victory Leo could transform..... but Star Saber couldnt...... and while Victory Leo could transform and disassemble to combine with Star Saber....... but Star Saber had no connection ports, no holes in the feet to plug in. It was the absolute weirdest pack of Transformers I've ever had. But I'm thankful since that's how I was introduced to Transformers Victory
I got a knock off RM Star Saber and Victory Leo at a dollar store. They were a bit loose, the plastic scared me, but they both had all the parts, and surprisingly good and accurate paint apps. I handled them like baby birds. Star Sabers sword eventually broke and Leo just could not stay together. However I had them for like three or so years complete and always picked them up randomly as they were in Victory Saber mode and I'd split, robot mode, alt mode, recombine, back on the shelf.
It’s weird, I started getting into Transformers when the first movie came out and until you mentioned this toyline in a previous video last year I had never heard about it anywhere. I’ve seen some of the figures, but never heard of the line. It’s like the Classics line happened and the rest was history.
TJOmega I want to thank you for pointing out one thing about the rm01 anime convoy and the mp01 masterpiece Optimus Prime and that the robot Master at $25 was far cheaper than the masterpiece which was $70 which a lot of us collectors just could not justify for a toy I remember thinking I am not spending two PlayStation games worth the cash on a toy. I got my rm01 anime convoy for Christmas and I thought it looked good yes the truck mode isn't pretty (but then again there was also the hybrid style convoy which hadn't even worse truck mode and was almost masterpiece expensive) but from my eye the robot mode was close enough for laughs and the accessories it had which included the necessary ion blaster and the energon ax made up for some of the aesthetics.
I have the whole line of robot masters, Plus some of the KO's they did of them in the states. Even have skywarp & Thundercracker.. I have all 4 repaints of the G2 Dreadwing.. I was surprised to see that mold again after 9 years. My Entire toy collection is in 3 rooms of the house. how large it is.

Damn, Classics Screamer really blew the Robot Masters release out of the water not even that long after the end of RM (those fucking tiny useless arms I can't even). I feel bad for the lads who imported the RM release only to see a far better mold out on store shelves a few years later. Shame I can't say the same about the RM Convoy vs the Classics Deluxe Optimus. That deluxe mold had so much going for it but the loose torso and liquid caca vehicle mode somehow managed to be even worse than the RM's vehicle mode... I for one would love to see you give Machine Wars (and its subsequent BotCon fiasco follow-up) or Beast Machines Dinobots some attention since in terms of actual TF lines those are hella weird and have some pretty interesting stories behind them.
Does anyone know where I can find the KO's for these? I'm looking for an Optimus. I've tried AliExpress but can't seem to find one. i know this is quite an old line but still hoping I can find the KO.

I used to have the robot masters thunder cracker skywarp two pack from botcon 2002 a vendor was selling them for twenty dollars for that two pack.
I think the most notable thing about robot masters optimus prime is that he got prostate cancer and died that one time.
