Hey folks this video didn't want to behave. Whilst editing, Premiere pro decided to run out of memory RIP. Meaning a whole bunch of narration and all my little titles in the corner were pretty messed up. Sorry for the confusion!
Big Ambitions is the exact type of game I was looking for, but I don't think it's refined enough right now. It is SUPER grindy, where you have to keep going back and forth for ages to continually get supplies and equipment for the stores. If there were a way to make it a bit more automated with more "passive" income I'd enjoy it more. The first few hours of the game were just going back and forth spending all day collecting supplies for the stores. Then I had to spend multiple in-game days to get the HQ and warehouse because I also had to manage 3 stores' inventory, set hours, and deal with employees. Even after getting the warehouse set up, I kept having to do stuff, with every extra place I get. It's honestly just a little too much and gets too frustrating.
Also, once you have stuff up and running there's little incentive to prevent me from just sleeping for a week straight and banking cash, but it's fun overall. Some mechanics definitely need tweaking.
Once you set up a supply chain, importing and delivering, you dont really have to do anything. Issue is once you have money there's nothing to do really
Yup then you get right to too automated and don’t really need to do anything. Also at the start i think it should take a biiiiiit longer to get started with your first store and get education. But that’s me. Hopeful about updates. King of Retail still beats it out of the water for me heh
Look into Mad Games Tycoon 2. Early access ended yesterday, I believe. Now at full release. So much fun, and the difficulty spectrum goes from "name your character and win" to having extreme anxiety because you accidentally bought a trash can for 1 room and can't afford to keep your company open.
Love the video. Just a small detail: Big Ambitions is by the guys who made Software Inc. (Hovgaard Games). Not by green heart games who made game dev tycoon.
big ambitions looks interesting. I wonder if you can have non end customer business models. for example, could I run my own warehouse? not make anything, just store it for other people who pay me.
I have played a few dozen hours on this one so far. You probably could go the warehouse route(?), but you would have to play the pretty narrow path they give you up front in the game to get enough cash and cash flow together to do it. I am not sure if there are NPC purchases from the warehouse yet either. The only goods I can sell from my warehouse are to my own businesses, so far. Like I said a few dozen hours only. I am honestly finding it a little frustrating and 'grindy' feeling as you are kind of forced to take a pretty narrow path to daily profit, which is essential.
It's 2023 and... surprisingly, we don't have enough good 'Proper' management games like Big Ambitions. There is no game out there, that I know of, that lets you build a business, any business you like from scratch and build your self up. We also don't have any new and better developed 'Ship Trading' games, where you build your ship trading empire, build or buy trading ships, accept contracts or make your own and let your ships to distribute out the goods you assign them to.
KoR is less than BA - in BA you can grow bigger and you have needs - in KoR you dont have needs and you only have a small amount of locations - in BA its more like a open world - etc. Only thing you dont have unlimited options to go in BA so far - cos its EA
Expresso Tycoon is definitely what I am waiting for, too! Tried Big Ambitions, but so far, its really more that, ambitions. Wasn't so much fun and I missed details in setting your place up.
Paradox just wants to copy everything Maxis already did, huh? First City: Skylines is basically just a modern SimCity and now Life By You is just The Sims.
Sorry but you ar wrong about who made big ambitions game the ppl that made Game dev Tycoon is not the ppl that ar making big ambitions it is Hovgaard Games that ar making big ambitions adn they also made a game called Startup Company
Aww.. there's no fun stuff like rct, zoo t, pizza tycoon? All seem to be run a life/business... I hope these devs are not missing the point of games and these will still be fun/engaging... Imagine playing a board game with no creative/engaging theme... Big ideas like new York often fall flat. Instead, a curated experience is so much more enjoyable. so many themes yet to be tapped... For current era - garden industry, camp/resort, cruise transport, ecotourism, safari, ranch. Cartoon/satirical-current era - armsdealer, media empire, real estate, secret cult, misinformation tycoon. Fantasy/medieval - schools (Wizards, orcs, army, etc), armoury, pottery, masonry, bakery, horsestead, civic planner, silk road, Japan/Amazonia based. Sci fi - many many many themes. You could even have a for fun body tycoon, where you fight viruses with an efficient immune system (army production) and resources (carb, vitamins - supply line) Vs growth. Modify the actions of your human by producing various neurotransmitters/hormones. Or do a cat. I also miss Lucas arts simcitylike afterlife. A sandbox element that balances rewards for aesthetics and efficiency is a must... Otherwise, it will just play like an idle clicker game... where despite an 'open' setting, there's only 1 or 2 obvious paths to take, and it's just clicking through option boxes, checklists and objectives and waiting for stuff to happen. Zzzzz

Premier Pro does that sometimes.

🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 🏙️ 🌆🌁🌃🌉🌇
Well duh
Yes will be the best of the best
Omg, you don't know what a tycoon game is.
Big Ambitions wasn't made by the developer of Game Dev Tycoon. It was made by Hovgaard Games who made Startup Company
Those r similar so he just made a mistake
I'm 100% sure that Big Ambitions wasn't made by the developer of Game Dev Tycoon. It was made by Hovgaard Games who made Startup Company
Thank you for including our Espresso Tycoon!
Really like it’s idea. Waiting for it’s release.
I will surely be buying it, Insha Allah. 🤍

Living a life is boring without activities, this game will do well once it has some mini games and mini goals that you have to achieve
Yup then you get right to too automated and don’t really need to do anything. Also at the start i think it should take a biiiiiit longer to get started with your first store and get education. But that’s me.
Hopeful about updates.
King of Retail still beats it out of the water for me heh
he totally showed zero gameplay....
Wow, so many new indie management games i never heard before. Awesome!👍👍

didn't they develop startup company, correct if I'm wrong but software inc. is from a solo developer and the creator is coredumping.
Hovgaard made startup company not software inc.
Just here to confirm that we only made "Startup Company" :-) Thanks for including us!
You give the explanation, but it's also wrong and corrected directly by the dev 😅
@@HovgaardGames Good to know, stupid mistake by me :p

Nice video! What do you think about "Festival Tycoon" ?
Tried the demo (free weekend?) of One Military Camp. It was pretty good. Made it to my wishlist. Also Big Ambitions looks interesting.
Both are great and unique games!
What a good list, I bought Big Ambitions, and will probably check out many more. Lovely video! Thank you for helping cure my boredom.
Looks like that type of games you'd want your kids to play to lead them to starting their own business :)
Very well done 👍
Love these, thank you!
I'd love to see a new golf resort tycoon game!
me too!!
Great video, thanks for sharing!
You're amazing thank you
I feel like voxel tycoon is just another “rise of industry” game

What is the name of the music of the background
I love this. I'm a sub!
Been watching you're old pal play Big ambitions, looks similar to king of retail which I loved playing and watching your failing business.
KoR is less than BA - in BA you can grow bigger and you have needs - in KoR you dont have needs and you only have a small amount of locations - in BA its more like a open world - etc.

Cartel Tycoon is giving Narcos vibes🔥
Would love a doll maker tycoon be your own mattel or mga etc be so cool too see this or toy tycoon 😀
Expresso Tycoon is definitely what I am waiting for, too! Tried Big Ambitions, but so far, its really more that, ambitions. Wasn't so much fun and I missed details in setting your place up.
Infra Space is like America Road Building sim.
A different type game that’s more of time management game is Lifeflow, get it
I'm, alternatively, ready to watch some typhoon games. :)~

you are missing let's school, that is one heck of game
For me Anno 1800 ist the King !
who made transport tycoon two?
What about cities skylines 2?
Maybe not a *pure* tycoon game, but totally get your point! I can't wait
Paradox just wants to copy everything Maxis already did, huh?
First City: Skylines is basically just a modern SimCity and now Life By You is just The Sims.
Big ambitions is about to take over the industry!!!! Like if you agree
Ive got all of the except Expresso Tycoon, anyone played it? Looking to cop it
Voxel Tycoon and Transport Fever 2
City skylines too
Life by You is coming to early access this year, just a heads up.
uhh.. no love for openTTD ?
at least honorable mention it when you talk about voxel tycoon..
OpenTTD isn't really upcoming, but it's a great game!
there is a tycoon game called " MMO RPG DEV TYCOON " in the same genre of mmorpg tycoon 2, that also looks very promising
welcome to goodland seems like walter white simulator
nice video
Gearcity creator making new game called Aeromagul (may have misspelled)
I'll check it out thanks!
I want a surgery simulator but nothing silly I want realism
voxel tycoon is fancy openttd
If you had 1 game to play which game will it be?
Big Ambitions!
R.I.P. tycoon games.
"Unique" is a binary state. Something can only be unique or not. Something can't be "very unique" or "super unique".
Some games, having been in early access for a long time, should not be considered as 'games to watch'.
Afraid we'll have to agree to disagree on that bud! Lots of cool Tycoon Games currently getting better in EA :D
Sorry but you ar wrong about who made big ambitions game the ppl that made Game dev Tycoon is not the ppl that ar making big ambitions it is Hovgaard Games that ar making big ambitions adn they also made a game called Startup Company
I meant that!! My bad!!
You forgot Railway Empire 2
Good shout!
Well damn, first Paradox went after Simcity and crushed it, now they're aiming for the sims? They just want to sink maxis and eject EA it looks like.
No one word about Cities Skylines 2?
Not really a tycoon game :P

Love from Mumbai india
best tycoon games to watch???
All of these tycoon games have helpful uncles to get you started. F**k my family I guess.
Cartel tycoon gameplay is horrible, nice graphics but it's not what I expected, after 2 hours gets boring and you lose interest on it.
You mispronounced Horticular 👅
Hmmmm
Worthless compilation of "best" if there's no City skylines 2
If you're interested in City Builders (like CS2) you've watched the wrong video 😂 check out this one instead: th-cam.com/video/pCizFZFeOAI/w-d-xo.html
🙋🏼♀
Transport Fever 2 the best!
HortiCULTURE lol what a tool
Thumbs down to games that glamorize drugs.
Voxel tycoon is a total rip off of transport Tycoon!
THAT ARE ALL ABIES GAMEA NOTHING REalistic
All of these games have horrible indie graphics. I think that these developers should learn a lesson....
I have been wondering why that is myself. Seems the graphics are trending down.
But Transport fever 2 is a great game.
@@kalmanto they are aiming for quick cash. But it won't work.
