You are forgetting the epistemological perspective. Specifically knowledge is about problems, everything else is ignored. This is simplifiies credit assignment complexity enormously.
Do you mean that brain function incorporates this perspective in the sense that the "knowledge of the unconscious mind" is derived from its structural organisation and that is dependent on the problems it solved and the way it solved them, leading to a brain that survived?
