Coincidentally, FIFA 13 is the last game where Alex is the manager of the team so playing the team on FIFA 14 is such a perfect timing.
Just hearing Alive by Empire of the sun makes me remember an era when mtv had his last glory days, spotify and the other streaming services were slowly becoming popular and this game was everything for the kids that couldn't afford a console
FIFA 14 was the best mobile football game ever released imo. Then FIFA 16 which had impressive graphics and optimisation. I also liked FIFA mobile world cup version they released last year, and PES obviously.
Now I think the better replacement for fifa 14 is efootball 24, yeah It still misses a lot of the old features but it has added a new league mode, like we can play different leagues with the team we select, But fifa 14 has a special place in heart

Shoutout to modern-day modders, I play a modder's version (Zeolgames) which has updated October '23 lineups, Champions, Libertadores and more ;) Also FIFA 14 on Mobile did originally have World Cup content (in fact the Brazuca ball and 2014 WC country call-ups are still in the game), the servers shut down tho meaning you can't make use of most of it.
I was big on 15, but I have to say till this day, fifa 14 ultimate team was the best fifa of all time. It wasn’t perfect. But out of the whole catalog, it was the absolute best. Ah man miss that era. 10-15 was the best fifa era and 14-15 were the best fut wise.
