After 20 some years i have been going back through my teenage\early 20s favorite albums, startint with ecliptica, days of grays had just come out as the last one. I can relate to this song. I am in love with a person that I've created. Sort of an "imaginary friend", if you will. Sometimes I dream of this person. But I know I will never meet them in real life. And now I am so far into this fantasy life that I've created that nobody else will satisfy me. So it makes me think that I'll be forever alone, with my "selene", my dream lover. Although, he is a guy, and I am a girl. I feel like he is more real to me than the people around me that exist, because he exists in my heart. That's why I can't let him go, and I wish every night that he would come to life. And sometimes he does, in my dreams... Then I wake up and realise that it was just a dream and he's not here...
Not the Selene you want, but the Selene you really need, is inside someone else in the real world. The only thing you have to do is open your mind and your heart will guide you. When you meet him, you will know. Good luck!
