Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: amzn.to/3PaaDzc Visions of Mana: amzn.to/4fu9tcD Granblue Fantasy Relink: amzn.to/3PblN72 Ys X Nordics: amzn.to/3ZRrLyT Dragon's Dogma 2: amzn.to/3ZUg4Y0 Stellar Blade: amzn.to/4fxrbMf
Granblue was so much fun. The combat was perfect for an action RPG. The only thing that would have made it better was if they had a longer “dragon quest” type story.
David! Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 and happy new year! …Another year, another JRPG and What a stacked year we had! Here’s to a new year filled with remakes and more RPGs!
I've always liked how the Mana Series balances serious themes alongside such adorable graphics. My plan with FFVII's Remake is to play all three parts back to back when Part 3 comes out. Which should hold out till I have a powerful enough PC to play them (anything I want on the Playstation Systems tends to also be on Switch or PC). With Ys, I'll probably just wait till the Expansion comes out so I don't have to buy it twice.
Visions of Mana and Ys X were great. It truely was an amazing year. For some reason I enjoyed *Cat Quest III* more than I should. The fast paced dodge and atack gameplay and the simple humor, I just can´t help it, it´s fun.
Let's see here - I loved Granblue Fantasy Relink, Visions of Mana, and FF7 Rebirth. I enjoyed the demo of Ys X Nordics. I'm a bit less enthusiastic about Stellar Blade's demo - it feels more like a fighting game than an rpg, given how the skilltrees are almost all related to attack combos (iirc there are very few if any passive skills like extra HP or defense, or non-combat skills like lockpicking). Also, I feel like this style of game would be a little easier for me with kb+mouse controls on PC. I apparently bought Secrets of Grindea, but haven't actually installed it yet.
In retrospect regarding Ys X, while I appreciate them trying something different, I don't think the boat exploration was such a great idea, it seemed to have taken something away from the exploration Ys8 had and it was easy to just ram boats and hammer them with all your attacks to sink them, got monotonous fast. The gameplay was still awesome though but I wish more time would have been spent with on foot exploring as opposed to the boat sailing. Just my take after 130 hours and 2 playthroughs of it.
@@davidvinc (im also carlos who comments on your channel btw heh - restarting my gaming channel so sometimes logged in here) but yeah i kept meaning to download it. im gonna today!
A lot of these are currently on sale on PSN store (and Steam, I think). Granblue Relink is currently 50% off, might get it, but I really want to get Visions of Mana. Also, Trials of Mana is currently at a record low sale (I think) of 19.99 USD so might get that one too.
No surprise that Rebirth is no. 1. Ys X Nordics was a great game overall. I loved the world and story. Visions of Mana was pretty fun too. Simple story but the gameplay was great and exploration is fun. Played the demos for Granblue and Stellar Blade too but never finished them. Merry Christmas to you, David.
So happy you didn’t include final game of thrones fantasy 16 in this since it was released for windows this year. 😂🎉🎉🎉 and I agree 100% about the top 2! Playing visions right now - gotta check the other games! Thanks for inspiring us!! 90.600!!! 🎁🎁🎁
Ys X is so good! Just finished the main story this past weekend! It’s up there with Ys VIII for experience. But Im going to take a step back and not worry about FFVII till we get closer to the third release…….then, oh baby…..play all three of them in a row! L! F! G!
This is a great list and I'm happy to say I have most of them. I pretty much agree with your list. Though, I might have placed Granblue Fantasy Relink over Stellar Blade, but that's just me.
Hi David! Awesome list. Going to give Granblue Fantasy Relink a go. Looks like a lot of fun. Also, FF7 Rebirth is on my wishlist for the PC. My only concern is ALL the mini-games... Anyway, have a blessed day and Merry Christmas everyone!
only one I couldnt play on this list was ys because of its blocking parrying thing - I LOVE this series but couldn't do it..after some dumb boss fight where it took almost no damage without me doing it's dumb new system argh
I've never played Granblue Fantasy, but it does seem like it'd be something that I may enjoy. Hopefully there're some beautiful feminine women, as well as sexy badass Onna-bugeisha.
I don't consider Stellar Blade an rpg, but it is a fun action game. I didn't play Ys yet, but my action jrpg of the year is Relink beating out Rebirth.
How Granblue story starts is odd, felt like loading a friend's 30+ hour save where all the characters and plot are already established. Doesn't properly introduce anything, feels like a sequel from mobile game. If you wanted to know anything of a character, had a still image wiki giving footnotes about their backstory instead of a proper quest chain, very low quality presentation for them.

Stellar Blade was such an awesome throwback. Loved it.
This is the best choice of BGM ever.
I am here for Visions of Mana, and Final Fantasy 7 ReBirth
Come on folk, 6 days left, hit that subscribe button!
A very, very solid list my dude. RPGs truly ruled this year! And Merry Christmas David.
Thanks, Merry Christmas to you too!
Granblue was EXACTLY what I needed at the start of the year- gorgeous world, engaging action, not too long, anime escapism - so much fun
Merry Christmas and happy new years. Honestly I haven't played any of these games listed.
Merry Christmas to you too!
David! Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 and happy new year! …Another year, another JRPG and What a stacked year we had! Here’s to a new year filled with remakes and more RPGs!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too!
Happy holidays David and thank yu for the many years of great videos.
Thanks! I wish you a happy holiday too!
If we get a non-mission based Granblue RPG sequel in the future, I can legit die happy. 10/10 insanely impressed by what they've done so far.
2024 really was a great year for video games from major studies to independent efforts.
Merry Christmas David!
I will hopefully have Visions of Mana in my hands soon, I spent so much time playing the demo xD
Looks like video game developers are getting better at creating eye candy! Love the remixes of FFVI tracks in the background too!
Marry Christmas David!
This year gave us some of the best Rpgs ever. Ys X being my favorite

It's been a great year for action RPGs!
Amazing list, there definitely were some unreal bangers this year, with Ys X being my favourite!

Action RPGs with David
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to you too!
I really need to get around to playing visions of mana
Secrets of Grindea is a 10/10 for me. It is so fun and well tuned.
thank you for reminded me of secrets of grindea
It's a great little game!

Hi David as I have forgotten how many hours you are ahead of me ps I'm in england I'll say merry Christmas now ♥️
You played Guardians Crusade!? honestly surprised i havent heard you talk about that game more. Absolute gem of the playstation one generation
1:33....and that's why you're a very strong content creator. Your knowledge of both popular and hidden jewels is very impressive.
Hoping FF7 part 3 debuts on PC. Holding off on playing the remakes until they're close to done
Damnit David. Now I need to go play Relink again with this awesome F-Zero soundtrack in the background. It just fits.

Stellar Blade is waiting for me on Christmas EVE lol I'm going to check out DQ3 now David..
Happy Christmas!!
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
Astra Hunter kind of reminds me of Robotrek.
I feel like people were too harsh on Dragon's Dogma 2. The game has problems but for fans it felt like a modern version of the original.

Where’s Black Myth Wukong?

I'm playing tales of berseria for pc as Christmas gift

hi David
Gonna buy grandblue because of the hot ppl and the story. 🎉
I've never played Granblue Fantasy, but it does seem like it'd be something that I may enjoy. Hopefully there're some beautiful feminine women, as well as sexy badass Onna-bugeisha.
nice thumbnail🥵🥵🥵
Man i’m kinda sad you didn’t mention Rise of The Ronin.
Although its good and I love Team Ninja overall I kinda prefer Ghost of Tsushima
Sand Land (((
😊
Astro hunter ? Look turn based lol
