My son has been diagnosed with virtual autism. Removing screen time has helped us gain a bit his attention. But, can I anyhow make sure it's now a regressive autism? He has lost some social skills like waving, imitating and pointing has been reduced greatly. He has not regressed in gross or fine motor skills. The symptoms that have appeared are
    1. Little eye contact
    2. Little response to name.
    3. Stimming behaviours - Sinning in circles, looking at hands, fluttering eyes and tip toeing.
    4. Loss of social skills.
    5. Lack of interest in doing even the things he can do.

We did the same thing, suddenly switched off the TV. He has stopped eating for six months. He is only drinking milk, and he has lost a lot of skill, so parents, please stop off the screen slowly. Do not switch off the screen change cartoon program suddenly bcz our children are nonverbal they have no play skills, so children are going in depression.

My 27 months old was not showing much of autistic behaviour during screen exposure it's just his lack of speech & poor name response but after a month of screen removal he does show a huge improvement but now I m Noticing some behaviours like autism for eg he lined up his car side by side today he sometimes flap his hands 1-2 times in a day wants to be carried up in road, all this has started 3-4 days ago.

    Hello mam,
My son is 4.5 yrs.. And has virtual autism. Though Dr. Said it's mild. He has good motor skills, and simple sentence as per his need. He goes to washroom himself. Problem is he is lacking in two way communication and have some behavior issues like screaming when excited or cries when someone takes anything from him. Eye contact not 100%. Pls suggest how to make him fluent in talking and work on his behavior. ❤Thanks

He had too much exposure to screen since the age of 8 months to 2 years
