I met Juju last year without knowing who she was.
She was with a film crew doing a documentary with her family in our library in Houston. I just remember her being really tall and kind of shy. Had no idea i was talking to the number one female high school player in the nation. You never know who you cross paths with in life.

The only issue is she slowed down towards end of season. Her usage was insane and she needs time to adjust to playing more games and to get stronger. But after she adjust and gets stronger, she as no ceiling. Well maybe being a better passer and understanding that getting other players involved will her help and the team more.

I agree with the money side for sure, but to say she isn't ready is kind of wild. We let one and dones into the NBA every year and it's by design. But, imagine juju being the youngest wnba player in history dominating? That will fill seats and finally get wnba to place where they have stars that can fuel the league.
The NBA needed that with magic, bird and MJ. Look at what happened with griner? She was hyped to an extreme in college and they didn't market her at all and fell off the planet until her arrest (probably because she isn't very marketable).
But Clark, juju -these are marketable players that can drive the wnba.

Also, if you ask me, most of the guys that come into the league early aren't ready! I mean, look at Jayson Tatum. It took him three years before he could start being a reliable number one option. Same with brandon Ingram, Sabonis, still waiting on jabari Smith, we never saw what we wanted out of guys like bagley, Wiseman, reddish, or even RJ Barrett. I feel like a lot of these one and done guys would benefit from more time in college. You can just see how unpolished and raw a lot of these kids are. I'd much rather see them go the route if Caitlin, Angel, Boston and take that time to round out than come in mad raw and pawn off that development onto an NBA team that has a deadline for them to be good or not. Like, there's guys in the league now qho could've been all stars year one or two had they stayed longer, and guys who might not have been drafted high enough to be busts had we had enough time of them in college to see, "oh yeah, this won't translate."

Of course there is still development to be done… when a one and done player goes from college to the pros in the men’s game, do they always dominate right away? No they need to develop.
