Have a 03 Mazda tribute v6 was driving and she just went neutral and will only go into reverse. Scanned it and got a transmission range selector code just waiting for the part now cant wait to install it and have her going again
Question before installing the sensor I hear you have to put gear in neutral and also put emergency break on. So my question do I start the car on neutral or on Drive.
Have you ever seen transmission fluid leak into the sensor? I have a 2010 escape I just picked up and I checked the transmission range sensor after pulling the same code and it was coated in tranny fluid. I’m deciding if I want to sell it for parts or fix it. If it may be a seal or gasket that went bad is my only guess. Thank you!
I wonder if someone just spilled fluid on it?? I think it would be pretty difficult for fluid to get up through the sensor itself. The fluid level should not be that high up
wat bout if it wont start. will this fix it? wen i first got it it started rite up. then i jus let it sit n wont start. all the lights com on tho. i did scan it n it was the same code as yours.....
@@chuysilverdeath Most likely cause of that is the range sensor is clocked incorrectly, or the new part is bad. That's assuming there were no other issues before you replaced the part, and the connector is in good condition
Mine looks nothing like this. I have a 2011 Ford Escape xlt 4cyl. Checked all fuses and bulbs for backup and everything is fine. I don’t see this sensor anywhere. The hoses are totally different. Would like some help locating this.
That's what happened to my Chevrolet lacetti automatic . Finally someone who makes sense of why this is coming up all the time

You cannot start an automatic car in Drive. so neutral or park will be fine
I meant Park but I typed drive

At the end.... It is NOT an "E-Brake" It is a "Parking Brake" A lot of people call them that. I won a court case because of that.
@@tonywestvirginia old habit. I don't even know why anyone ever called it an E brake haha.

lol nvm the conector to the sensor was not pluged in all the way. it works now
Glad you figured it out!
My o/d keeps flashing after replacing the that part, code reader said it was the sensor. Need help?

@ i goes into every gear, but I feel it’s what you said, it’s not clocked correctly.
How did you fix the problem when you installed it and the car didn’t want to accelerate in drive?
That is not a related issue

Escape in video is 1st Gen,,,, yours is 2nd Gen, as mine, and sensor is inside Valve Body
Is this the same as an 09 placement?
I am not 100% sure because that is the newer bodystyle, but you should be able to look under the hood and see if it looks like the video
Why is it no one shows how to do the 2010 2.5 liter engine model?
This code is coming up after changing an ignition module in steering column. Could we have caused this code?
Should not be related...
Change mine and it is still giving me that code
Could be:
Cheap quality part
mis adjusted sensor
wiring issue
