Pharmacy is a great profession.I my self a pharmacist running my own brand in very young age under the name pharmacozyme and alhamdulellah I make money 100x more than my family expectations.
I want to do Pharm D, I am currently in second year I am very confused as I have limited sources, I don't have anyone who can help me can you please be kind enough to tell me about it's scope
Most of them only enjoy...and at the end of degree they find themselve stranded in system...which asks you for experience before every job...moreover people get job by corruption.
6:00 he is right.. Pharm D is much difficult than mbbs.. Alas 70% are unemployed in Pakistan due to less salary packages..we only study single subject of marketing.. But it's one perspective.. Others are hospital pharmacy, clinical.. But they are not getting their position in Pakistan. For hospital job you need govt seats(less in number) or in case of private sector you need high links.. And clinical pharmacy is not in working...
Pharmacist is a professional vast field where you can apply in numerous industries, hospitals, pharmacies, start your own retails setup etc. It's depends on person as he's responsible to make the scope of any degree. He's just talking about one aspect and that is marketing. Get a life and do get more knowledge about pharm-D, a noble profession.
This is so true , not only in Pakistan even in USA the education is most about making money ... my major is computer programming but I still had to Take earth science class theater class and methodology.... I don’t understand what it has to do with coding and computer these three subjects
You've just discussed one aspect of pharm D. Other then marketing there are numerous other fields pharmacist use to go. Do agree pharmD students lack the marketing skill and pharmD course do not possess marketing as a core subject. Actually the purpose of pharmD is never limited to marketing and selling medicine rather it's to evaluate and ensure the right use of medicines and to expose the abuse of medicines.

@@hey-ba1238 In Pakistan both degrees are of 5 years. The course of DPT is too short while PharmD course is very much lengthy. People who have good grades, memorization skills and who are hard working prefer pharmD while those who wanna take Dr title who have less marks and study less get admission in Dpt. It's reality that pharmD has better and more scope than Dpt. After pharmD one can have bunch of options to consider and it's more flexible field as compared to Dpt. PharmD students get job more easily than Dpt students. After doing Dpt it's hard to find handy job and it'll require experience and time to be recognized. I'll suggest pharmD better than Dpt.
Those who say pharmacy profession has no scope it is not the profession, it is their "self" which has no scope as I believe scope relates to person not profession.
Our rizq is written by Allah Almighty. We should only study and work with sincerity. Pakistan is full of people who work for the sake of money only. Yes, I agree ☝️ with you. I was an Account Manager in a Pharma Company. There they were paying to fresh Pharm D persons only 18,000/- per month. I really often think 💭 that why is this injustice with these people. Most of them give their license to medical store owners for only just 2 lac approx.
N K People who have finance and they want to make medical store but they don’t have pharmacy certificate so they get medical lisence on pharma qualified person and agree to pay him Annually some amount for his name only. They make investment and run the business on his name and earn millions and what pharma is getting only 3 or 4 lac.
And it's not like bddil ho k krta hga koi.. There are people who love biology but they just can't leave chemistry as they find it equally interesting.. They like a blend of it.. Therefore they choose pharm D.yhn students exam de de k admissions letey.. Also get high percentages to get admission in it.. U can read the comments below.. There r students who don't have high merit and want to get adm. .. Same goes for BDS.. They have their own interests... Everyone has his specific role in health care set up.. A health care expert can only conclude about these things.. But other than that I really respect Mr Shah.. V positive contribution toward society..
Sir while you are training some people for marketing skils, you should not restrict Pharm-D only to marketing field. There are many other fields than marketing like community pharmacies, clinical pharmacies, hospital pharmacies, govt. jobs i.e drug inspector etc, pharmaceutical industries, forensic labs, drug courts, medicine distribution setups and various other self made small businesses. So, people here listening to this video should not be misguided that pharmacy has no scope. It's the mumber 1 field after mbbs with much diverse scope.

True sir. I totally agreed. Basically the reason of unemployment is our system. Because none of any medical professional can do OPD except MBBS, if anyone do they all are considered as criminal.(here i would definitely say its a monopoly)But where as in the field of pharmacy anyone can do pharmacist job like in Industry workers replace them after getting an experience while in the pharmacies dispensers and other non educated trained people can replace pharmacist job, where as in marketing many of medical representatives and other senior positions as you rightly said are B.A/B.Com etc they all can replace pharmacist job officially. Which means they officially offer them a job instead of hiring pharmacist. none of anyone take any action in this regards. In short anyone can replace the pharmacist job wether he/she belongs to any degree or even no degree (like incase of pharmacy/mfg industries). But Buttt... where as MBBS none of any other educational degree can replace his/her job. Or sonay per sohaga ye k MBBS can also open the attached pharmacy without any pharmacist help. So what is this! Bull shit! Pharmacist also spend 5 years in education as they did but anyone can replace his/her job. There is NO any particular filed in pakistan where they can specify pharmacist job in which no one can replace them. Well i assure you all insha Allah soon this trend will change.

Although I respect Qasim Ali Shah, in this video, what he has portrayed about Pharmacy and MBBS is far from the truth. MBBS/Pharmacy has very little to do with "RATTA". There are simple as well as complex concepts which have to be understood very clearly. These cannot simply be crammed. He is partly right in that managerial skills are necessary. With a solid concept base background knowledge and good administration, we can manufacture good quality medicine, otherwise we will end up with substandard, poorly made drugs and you cannot MARKET these drugs even if you're the best salesman because they will eventually show poor results
It mean you said Pakistan have good medicine companies if it then why they can not show good effects as like medicines here in UK ? I bought medicine of same (Formula) in Pakistan for stomach problem but after taking this medicine few days later I had no better effects but same (Formula) medicine of UK show brilliant results?
I am a pharmacist and I do not agree with your concept of selling pharmaceuticals, in our field it's called unethical selling, we sell solutions to the problems of physician's patient. Please search MNCs they will never facilitate physicians in buying ACs, clothes etc..

Dear Sir, The Doctors do not accept The Pharmacists in Pakistan. The Pharmaceutical Industry exploits the pharmacists. There is no coordination of University and Industry in Pakistan. In our country each and every person can open a pharmacy shop and pharma Industry. If you disagree with me, come to Peshawar and see the poor status of well qualified Pharmacists. Pharmacy and criminology are not applicable subjects in Pakistan.

People who have finance and they want to make medical store but they don’t have pharmacy certificate so they get medical lisence on pharma qualified person and agree to pay him
Annually some amount for his name only. They make investment and run the business on his name and earn millions and what pharma is getting only 3 or 4 lac.

And it's not like bddil ho k krta hga koi.. There are people who love biology but they just can't leave chemistry as they find it equally interesting.. They like a blend of it.. Therefore they choose pharm D.yhn students exam de de k admissions letey.. Also get high percentages to get admission in it.. U can read the comments below.. There r students who don't have high merit and want to get adm. .. Same goes for BDS.. They have their own interests... Everyone has his specific role in health care set up.. A health care expert can only conclude about these things.. But other than that I really respect Mr Shah.. V positive contribution toward society..

Sir while you are training some people for marketing skils, you should not restrict Pharm-D only to marketing field. There are many other fields than marketing like community pharmacies, clinical pharmacies, hospital pharmacies, govt. jobs i.e drug inspector etc, pharmaceutical industries, forensic labs, drug courts, medicine distribution setups and various other self made small businesses.
So, people here listening to this video should not be misguided that pharmacy has no scope. It's the mumber 1 field after mbbs with much diverse scope.

True sir. I totally agreed. Basically the reason of unemployment is our system.
Because none of any medical professional can do OPD except MBBS, if anyone do they all are considered as criminal.(here i would definitely say its a monopoly)But where as in the field of pharmacy anyone can do pharmacist job like in Industry workers replace them after getting an experience while in the pharmacies dispensers and other non educated trained people can replace pharmacist job, where as in marketing many of medical representatives and other senior positions as you rightly said are B.A/B.Com etc they all can replace pharmacist job officially. Which means they officially offer them a job instead of hiring pharmacist. none of anyone take any action in this regards.
In short anyone can replace the pharmacist job wether he/she belongs to any degree or even no degree (like incase of pharmacy/mfg industries).
But Buttt... where as MBBS none of any other educational degree can replace his/her job. Or sonay per sohaga ye k MBBS can also open the attached pharmacy without any pharmacist help. So what is this! Bull shit!

Although I respect Qasim Ali Shah, in this video, what he has portrayed about Pharmacy and MBBS is far from the truth. MBBS/Pharmacy has very little to do with "RATTA". There are simple as well as complex concepts which have to be understood very clearly. These cannot simply be crammed.
He is partly right in that managerial skills are necessary. With a solid concept base background knowledge and good administration, we can manufacture good quality medicine, otherwise we will end up with substandard, poorly made drugs and you cannot MARKET these drugs even if you're the best salesman because they will eventually show poor results

I am a pharmacist and I do not agree with your concept of selling pharmaceuticals, in our field it's called unethical selling, we sell solutions to the problems of physician's patient. Please search MNCs they will never facilitate physicians in buying ACs, clothes etc..

The Doctors do not accept The Pharmacists in Pakistan. The Pharmaceutical Industry exploits the pharmacists. There is no coordination of University and Industry in Pakistan.
In our country each and every person can open a pharmacy shop and pharma Industry. If you disagree with me, come to Peshawar and see the poor status of well qualified Pharmacists.

BTW I am Pharmacist bas 2 months Mein hojaegi complete meri degree. Aur bhi bhot si jagahen hain jahan banda jaa skta hai like clinical, hospital or production etc. It's not all about marketing humne 2 semester communication plus business communication k sth marketing bhi parhi hai. Lekin albata it all depends on the teacher k woh kis tarah se Hume lectures deliver krta hai particular subject ka.
