Thank you for reviewing my country. La Marseillaise was created during the French Revolution when France was not only suffering from inside rebels but also foriegn countries. The United Kingdom, Spain, Austria and the Holy Roman Empire all gathered to defeat France and reinstate the Ancien Régime. Around this time Napoléon rose to prominence and defeated British-lead coalitions several times until his defeat in 15 June 1815.
