Last night was such a strange game: some players looked angry or annoyed, there were ripped jerseys (lol!), the drowsy ukulele music, and the emotional ups and downs of the match. Just an odd night overall. Hopefully, the Bows play better and lock in another win on Friday!
Definitely was, lots of frustration was shown. They probably were annoyed with their performance and that they shouldn't be going to 5 sets with stanford imo.
The ukulele music made it weird because it was more soothing rather than creating energy.
I know the participants are there to do their job, but sometimes the MC and break activities forget they're at a volleyball game. They believe they're the show. I enjoy some of the activities, but there are too much stuff packed into each break: DJ music, fun games, promos, announcements, cheers, and band music. The crowd really can't get into it b/c things move on too quickly. In fact, the band is starting to play over the announcements. The Warriors came out flat and the soothing ukulele music and video clips were great, but it didn't pump up the crowd. Love the entertainment, but sometimes "less is more". Seems disorganized & disjointed. We are there to support the team.
IMO It was a trap game for Hawaii. They were on a high last week at BYU then come back short turn around and they came out flat. They tried to sustain the energy but couldn’t. But they definitely showed grit and found a way to win no matter how ugly it was.
