Thanks for the interview, interesting stuff right there! For the subtitles around 7:20, I think he talks about "dungeon synth" music ;) Keep up the good work man
These guys sound really cool. Their musical style could arguably be described as "melodic war metal". One of my first metal bands is Kalmah and I would say 1914 reminds me of their style of melodeath combined with a lot of technical slam (i.e. Dying Fetus) and blackened death metal (Goatwhore comes to mind). "A Cross Now Marks His Place" also has SERIOUS Lamb of God vibes.
@@MetalBlast They hate Sabaton due to the fact that Sabaton support russian invasion in Ukraine, Sabaton performed some gigs in Crimea in bike festival which was held in Sevastopol, they support putin's regime, and finally yeah, Sabaton is not a true metal.
@@sanguinius-40k I know about that show they played in the Crimean region, but I wouldn't go as far as to say they are "pro Russia". Most bands just show up where they get paid to show up, and don't know whether they are being used by someone else in their own political machinations. This isn't to say that it's impossible that Sabaton are indeed pro Russian aggression, but I don't think we have the evidence to draw that conclusion.
Kinda of a shame these guys throw shade at another band that's working hard to become popular. That metal elitism is what keep metal down and it doesnt help grow the community. Sabaton is a good entry band. What do this guys expect? To jump straight into Black metal?

"Fuck popularity". I love them already.
Cool to see 1914 here! New singles are killer!

Awesome interview! I'd like to see them live too :)
Hope these guys are doing OK with the current invasion
Stay strong boys.
So 1914 not fans of Sabaton?
I discovered the band 1914 because of Sabaton... What's the beef? Seems to be rather deep.
To me it sounded like they don't think Sabaton are "true" metal.
Ohhhh..... It's educational.... All that matters...
