      hahaha! I was trying to pull the pedal back into frame cause it was slipping away from me, but it 100% looks like I have no idea what I'm doing and tried to turn the footswitch like a knob

    Nice exploration! Thanks for the high praise. I really like the dry mode sounds you were getting too. Great job deep diving into all the knobs. Sounds like a good match for the JC-40!

    I've been watching everything I can on this pedal to get a better handle on it. Your demo is great, and explained a couple of things I didn't see in others. Particularly that "dry mode allows you to use all the same effects on your guitar tone instead of the synth" ...that finally made it click with me. Perfectly explained.

    I have only recently become aware of Meris and recently got my first pedal from them, the Hedra, so now I have started exploring what else they offer, my music is rather experimental and I feel like Meris is a good resource for me, I am leaning towards the Enzo as my next Meris pedal

    Where in the pedal chain did you place this pedal? I use it with a JC40 as well.

    • @noisegenerator
      @noisegenerator  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In this video, the Enzo is the only pedal being used! But since I've had it, I've been keeping at the very beginning of my chain. I personally kinda like to treat it as if it were its own instrument, so all effects would come after it.

    Hey man I got my enzo today and was a bit lost is there a way I can get back to the original settings like a factory reset or something

    • @noisegenerator
      @noisegenerator  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Haven't tried it myself, but I found this on a forum: "Holding down the “Synth Mode” button on power up resets all of the presets and all of the global settings back to their original factory values. Once the reset is complete, simply recycle the power on the unit."
      Hope that helps!

    • @elderchildren

    • @conorcornelius61
      @conorcornelius61 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@elderchildren as far as I can tell, no. mine only arpeggiates in groups of 7/4, and so does this one. I'm not sure if there's a way to adjust it, but even when I click the tempo button in groups of 4 it stays in 7. It's super bizarre, but does make for some interesting experiments, those experiments just have to be phrased in 7 haha

    How is the tracking? Can you play fast and switch chords without any squeaking or artifacts?

    • @noisegenerator
      @noisegenerator  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The tracking is great! In mono mode, you can play pretty fast and it'll catch everything (I'm no shredder, but it just about always keeps up with me if I play fast). Poly mode is definitely not made for super fast playing, but as far as chords go, it's great. There's a little bit of a learning curve in poly mode as far as finding the right ways to play into it to avoid freaking it out with extra harmonics, but you get used to it pretty quickly. I haven't noticed any odd artifacts or squeaking though!

    • @dingbatjack1234
      @dingbatjack1234 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Noise Generator Thanks for the reply! I’m coming from a midi guitar background so I’m pretty familiar with playing with these types of things. Unfortunate about the poly mode. My fishman tracks 👌

    • @jonathancharlesbass
      @jonathancharlesbass 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Please can you elaborate on where the Synth9 beats the Enzo?
      I have watched demos for both and both look awesome!
      I do feel like the Enzo controls are more elaborate when it comes to the octaves and different modes. I get the impression that you can dial-in so much more with the Enzo than you could on the Synth9. Granted the Enzo is more pricey.

      After watching more Enzo demos, I do not agree. This is better.

  • @michaelcraig9449
    @michaelcraig9449 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did y7ou actually play anything into it? I just see dude fiddling with knobs..Does this mean someone can just twist away on the knobs and get tons of sounds and not play any actually guitar, or what? This is semi misleading..not sure what the deal is..

    • @noisegenerator
      @noisegenerator  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      During the Arp Mode segment, I kept the sustain knob up, which means it'll keep playing an arpeggiated sequence based on the last thing I played into it. So sometimes when the notes changed, that means I strummed another chord or played different notes in between turning knobs. But for the Mono and Poly mode segments, I'm only turning knobs in between playing things. So yes, there is guitar actually being played the whole time!

  • @elderchildren
    @elderchildren 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great demo and song choice. Just wondering if there is any way to use a preset selector AND expression pedal with the Enzo? I’ve found the presets are really hard to navigate/store, so the switch pedal seems a necessary add on - but one of the best elements of the Enzo is the expression capability.

    • @noisegenerator
      @noisegenerator  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! I think you might be able to do both with certain MIDI controllers, but I'm not 100% positive on that. Would probably be worth reaching out to Meris directly to find out for sure!

    • @elderchildren
      @elderchildren 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Noise Generator sorry for late reply! I researched and recently found out that you CAN do it, as most MIDI guitar controllers have an expression port. So it effectively turns it into like, what... $500AUD for the pedal, $300AUD for the controller and $100AUD for the expression. $900AUD or like $500USD all up for that setup. And yet part of me thinks it’s fuckin worth it. This pedal has so much locked within it, it’s essentially like having a dedicated synth pedalboard once you set it up for full access. Thanks again dude.
