In June 2019, inov-8 ambassador Paul Tierney set out on an epic adventure to summit all 214 Alfred Wainwright Lake District peaks in one go. His goal was to try and beat the record time of 6 days 13 hours and 1 minute, set five years earlier by fellow fell runner Steve Birkinshaw.
Needing to cover a distance of approximately 318 miles and ascend the equivalent height of four times Mt Everest, Paul knew this was his biggest challenge to date and enlisted the help of friends and family.
Battling sleep deprivation and everything the Lake District weather could throw at him, what transpired was a story that gripped not only the fell-running and ultra-running communities but also the wider sporting world.

just watched this again for the 5th time in as many years. This is one of the most important films about ultra running. So many messages to those in and outside the community - it helps and reminds what the activity is about. Inspiring and moving. Thanks (again)
Paul, there shouldn't ever be a single person who isn't inspired by what you and everyone involved was able to achieve. Just wow. Thanks, helps a lot!
Thanks to all who joined us for the premiere and asked questions in the live chat. We hope you enjoyed it.
Amazing film. Thank you and well done to Paul and all involved!
Thanks for sharing and raising mental health awareness, a good friend and clubmate, and also an Ironman took his life last week, kudos to all involved. #ITSGOODTOTALK
I'm new to inov-8 and am currently testing the Roclite G 275. It's an excellent shoe for many reasons. Look for my review on www.runrepeat.com in the near future.
inov-8 a stunning film and gargantuan achievement congratulations to everyone and especially Paul
Good view over there in UK
but will u improve the grafite rubber on rocklite 275G is slippery on wet rocks very slippery
that i prefer wear Vibram megagrip or continental from adidas or crocks
for grassy rocky trails beter get trailrock ?

watching him wear Chris's vest at the end was so powerful, what a beautiful accomplishment to honour his friend
What an amazing film, makes me want to be back in the lakes!! Such an incredible achievement, and really shows how supportive the ultra/trail running community it. No more supportive community in the world
Running The Wainwrights (OMG)....... Well done Paul Tierney, what a monster!!
A truly amazing feat of endurance, I’ve never met you Paul, but I take my metaphorical hat off to you for completing it and for breaking the record, but most of all for being so humble in the build up, the race and on completion, a human quality rarely seen today... (Binsey - arse hole of the Lakes, still laughing at that now 😂)
Grand effort by a grand feller! Its great that mental health is now being spoken of and championed after years of being an issue that people just didn't speak about.
As an aside, totally nonplussed that anyone could give this video a thumbs down??.What kind of lives do these sad people lead...bizarre!!!
25:15 Such down to earth language, these Cumbrian fell running types -'suffering like chuff' - love it!
I know exactly what you're talking about when you say trail running is the best, Paul. Cheers.
Wonderful, beautiful, funny, motivating and insightful.
Paul is quite right about mental pain and its too sad he lost his friend to it.
I shall think of Paul and his friend Chris Stirling tomorrow when I’m out running the hills, and remind myself that I can stand the pain of the effort to keep going with my feet and my mind. I understand that darkness very well, but this film show that the lightness shines too. Thank you to all who made it.
Absolutely bloody awesome Paul.
I went up and down one of these this week. I knew someone’s achievement would put this into perspective and prevent me from getting too big headed. I can’t imagine the sense of accomplishment. Hats off.
What a great guy Steve is too. Legend

Fantastic video, truly brilliant achievement and a fitting tribute.
The auto generated subtitles changing Fell Running Community to Felony Community is somehow strangely appropriate too :D
I often look at fell races on you tube from the lake district but this showed me the true majesty of the place. Well done from wexford.

Amazing! Anyone know the fell and route at 13mins or so, I'd hugely appreciate it
Well done 👏🏼 anyone know the tune that kicks in at 57 mins 😇
I assume that gully that you were descending was Lord's Rake? Looks proper sketchy.
Haystacks was my first
Can anyone tell me what the hill / route is that is being done at 11:40-12:00mins ?
Looks like Lords Rake on Scafell
If I get to 85 fancy looking as trim and bring as functional as Chris Bonington.
