The hand hold scene is either Link and Hylia, or Link and Zelda. It's actually incredibly similar to Link's Zoni hand from the trailer if you look close.
Well my biggest issue is that in breath of the wild I played almost 500 hours looking for seeds then my buddy made fun of me because I didn’t even know what I was going to get for finding. Almost 700 found before I googled what I got. Well I was NOT happy when I figured it out. While it was one of the best I’ve ever played I got a little upset. Tbh I never put the game back in my system. I might not wait to see next time. And was it any benefit to finding those. Like they should work the rainbow pile of….. emoji into this one. Like start off with master sword or something. The pic of my map of me trying to cover without looking anything up is ridiculous
I like your videos, whenever one is out I immediately watch it no questions asked! But i just realized something, in Links totk ancient zonai outfit his hair down kinda reminds me of the other person in those murals with Zelda except shorter hair, now this is a massive and huge hunch but what if that person or being is actually Link or a version of him atleast? I also thought of this cuz in the scene where Zelda reaches for the other person's hand she doesn't seem to hesitate and it looks like she tries to gently hold the other persons hand and we don't know if the person or being will actually look completely like how they do in the mural for all we know they could look completely different, but it is best to assume they will look the same, idk if I'm overthinking this or not so I'll leave the rest up to you to figure out
I don't think the woman in the white dress is Zelda at all I believe it is the goddess Hylia. Regardless, the hand reaching back out to her is clearly Link as we have seen his corrupted hand several times over now. Other than that, I think your theories were great!
I’m thinking that hand reaching out to Hylia is a Zonai priest or their champion (the desication is extremely similar to the Sheika Sages). I’m assuming we get the arm as part of Zelda/Hylias plea for help.
i was thinking the same thing about that being hylia. i wonder if totk is going to go more in depth to the lore of the entire series sort of like how skyward sword did. that would explain why porting over ss was chosen over other games if totk is going to bounce of of that.
@@poohbear01x48 same because it makes no sense to not show either of their faces unless its on purpose and supposed to be a misdirection to who it truly is. Especially with links face and him holding up his arm as well as zeldas voice only moments after that event. And also the ouroboros represents life death rebirth and cycles, which is what the zelda series is all about. This could mean it is a reoresentation of the two reincarnating and having their souls and power continuously fight for eternity, which fits well with having hylia and this zonai warrior but making us believe it is link and zelda
@hanna demetreshon don't remember exactly but a youtuber (I think zeltik) made the theory that TOTK is basically going to be the end of the legend itself. After seeing this trailer, it looks more likely to me. Sounds like a pretty ambitious story honestly
Looks to me as if Zelda's gonna die and help link in spirit form to fight demise (I think) once and for all before she fades away. As seen when link has his hand up as if he was holding someone who was floating's hand .
@SkylaPrincessofNoOne403 he is like the original dragon monster from the first released zelda. He's got 3 heads basically no arms. Used for like mini bosses throughout the game.
The malice explosion with a figure inside may be a Lynel and coming out may be its new form. If you look more closely it seems to have the Lynel silhouette with its hind legs visible, but I'm obviously not certain. Lynels not even appearing in this trailer might be an indication they're doing something new with them. Since they introduced some new enemy forms, they might give the Lynel a new buffed up form as well, which would be kinda nuts.

I presume the figure in the white dress wasn‘t our Zelda, it was the Zelda from the ancient time and she‘s shaking hands with the green tunic Link. I‘d say that our Link got the memories of that ancient Link with his new arm. Idk whether there will be some time traveling involved, or if ancient Link and Zelda are spirits or only memories than we can see on certain occasions.
8:10 I can't quite make it out, but did anyone else notice the "crop circles" in the grass as Link runs across the ridge? It almost looks like a picture of a guardian.. P.s. i better be able to pet the dogs at the stables this time around..
I love how fast I got this video from you! I also wanted to mention that Link’s hand glows when he uses the special arrows, and the fact that he doesn’t have the Master Sword when he rushes to Zelda. And he isn’t using it the rest of the trailer, but the sword he uses appeared cover in malice. I’ll shout loud “I TOLD YOU SO!” to my siblings if it loops back to Skyward Sword.
I personally believe SS, WW, TP and MM may ALL be relevant. 1. That first blood moon. The malice almost looked like it was pouring out of it, not the first time the moon has been possessed - also. If Hylia is the light, the sun goddess and all that is good in the world, would that make Demise the moon? Always in the suns shadow, only a reflection of light and no more - forever stuck in the shadow of the sun? SS - the way the sword is damaged, Minish Cap (maybe relevant) also focuses on the reforging of a sacred blade but SS told the original story. TP - the light spirits (maybe Zonai?), Ganondorfs appearance WW - those new Blins, redeads and kargaroks (which i believe appeared in TP as well but more reptilian) Honestly: when Nintendo said this was at the end of all timelines (paraphrased) I partially expected this, a convergent of the timelines without actually having to merge them into one. All roads lead to the same destination; the journey is up to you. Now the how? How can all three timelines be relevant? Well, Link recovered his memories from 100 years ago. Whos to say Ganondorf hasn't retained or remembered all of his past lives/past in general. He has beeb stewing for quite some time underground(?)
You missed the dragon with flaming heads on the bridge shot. Also I'm pretty sure the shots of different vehicles at the end means that you will be able to build them yourself. We get a shot of link finding attire in the mud and then we get a shot of those tires on the car
I was totally thrilled by the new trailer and your analysis. My only thought contradicting yours would be, that the hands reaching for each other are still Link and Zelda. The shot right after that Link is holding up his "modified" arm looking at it move, and it seems to imply the same hand that Zelda reached for
But that could be misdirection- they want us to think it’s Link, but it could be the being who’s arm it is originally, the one who then helps Link when his arm is damaged.
I believe Tears of the Kingdom us gonna tie together a lot of the games. For example, the redead looming enemies, Ocarina of Time. Sky exploration, Skyward Sword. Possible aliens from Majora's Mask. And personally, the flying enemies look like Kargaroks, Wind Waker. Particles in the air, specific green shade used in this game and the similarities between the Zonai and Twili, Twilight Princess. This can all come together with how Ganondorf says, "Eliminate this Kingdom and her allies." Her allies, perhaps he means the Spirit Realm, the Twilight Realm, the sky realm, Termina, Lorule, etc? Just a thought
@@pumpkinpatch1084 not necessarily, he may have a point. Hyrule already includes all those communities, calling them allies of the place they're part of wouldn't make as much sense as actual allies to the kingdom.
@@lunacat_02 agreed the voice fits demise more and I think Ganondorfs corpse is possessed by Demise like there is a lot hinting that something is off about Ganondorf like for example Ganondorf doesn’t have red eyes but Demise does, Ganons roar in the second trailer after BOTW 2 was first announced Ganons roar sounds like the imprisoned’s roar and knowing Nintendo I don’t think it’s Coincidental, and also I don’t think Ganondorf would really want to yank the master sword out of links possession and break it into pieces since all Ganon wants is power he’s only has his focus on his master plan and I don’t think he’s strong enough to break the master sword into pieces Demise does because if he had a chance to do it all over again he’ll make sure that he’ll do everything in his power to destroy everything that is designed to defeat him

But also, if Demise makes a return, perhaps the shot of the two hands grabbing each other is actually Hylia and (while unlikely, but a thought because of how old and decomposed the hand looks) the first hero, and I don't mean Skyward Sword Link, I mean the very first hero before they began their reincarnation cycle. Or it's BotW Link grabbing Hylia's hand, which is more likely. I believe this game might also signal the end of the reincarnations, only because in BotW, I believe someone says Ganon gave up his reincarnated form to become Calamity Ganon. So if Demise truly makes a return, and assuming he doesn't curse Link and Zelda to the cycle like in Skyward Sword, this game might be Hylia and Link vs Demise, which would be really cool.
It might be like those goddess chests in skyward sword, except you might have to do something else like a whole puzzle or dungeon or maybe progress the game more.
@@andrewbledsoe131 because it’s a Zelda game. In my opinion the absence of proper dungeons and the addition of loot ruined BotW for me. There’s plenty of other games that do that gameplay style, I don’t know why zelda needs to do it now
All of the bokoblin/moblins' new horn shaped look like weapons so I think the horns will drop upon death and be used as some kind of crafting or repair material for whatever weapon they look like.
my theory is that the person in the dress actually depicts Hylia, in a scene where Zelda experiences apotheosis similar to in skyward sword. and that the first “zelda” line in the trailer is zelda talking to link, but the second is Hylia talking to the green hand
The thing you lift from the swamp is like a tier. Then you see what looks to be a vehicle, meaning you will be able to construct these machines yourself. If you also focus on those machines they have these lime green between parts which seems to assemble the pieces together.
The figure with the green hand is obviously link after he's gotten recovered but I am more interested in what looks to be the little sleeves / scarf thing that the white figure is holding I wonder if that actually comes apart and reforms around links arm similar to how the Gate of time did in Skyward Sword.. I'm also interested in other enemies such as what I believe to be kagorocs flying around as new enemies.... I'm also curious about those vehicles, they remind me of a build-your-own vehicle simulator like Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts
The trailer was THE COOLEST EVER !! And my personal theory about the lady link reached out to might be hylia herself, like maybe Hylia took over zeldas body or something, or maybe the lady in the stone carvings is the zonais rendition of goddess hylia, and with the light coming from her just like zeldas dream she mentioned in botw, I really think it’s a possibility !
I have a theory on the scene where the guardian arms snap at link while on a sheikah platform. Perhaps the detection of malice in his arm is making him be rejected from the system, keeping him from gaining from any shrines or sheikah tech found.
I watched point crows reaction and he said that someone in the chat said that this could lead to skyward swords. And how skyward swords started in the first place and that it’s all a loop. And the creepy skeleton mummy is going to be Demise.
I love this idea but at the same time, demise was trapped in the master sword, the sword does seem to be broken at some point in totk but that's after finding dehydrated ganon.. a loop would be fun though, it would make sense with all the time traveling that's been done and ngl, I'd like to see my man groose again 😂
In the glowing explosion at 3:33, you can notice a spider-like Guardian being consumed by the flames. You can tell, going off of arachnid anatomy, as well as the segmented Sheikah design of the legs, nearly identical to Guardians and the claws for feet of the entity. I counted four different legs on the right side of the image, which led me to further believe this theory. I'd love to hear your thoughts though!
Regarding the two figures reaching out to each other, where you speculate one to be Zelda: While that does look like Zelda, the outfit and glow makes me think back to Skyward Sword, to her appearance there when they revealed her to be the descendant of Hylia, before she sealed herself in amber. The platform looks similar to that as well. As such, it's possible that it's Hylia, in Zelda's body. As for the other hand, it looks like the green hand we see in the other trailers, the one that had been holding down Ganondorf and that saved Link, but as a normal hand instead of the spectral green light hand we saw. I did see someone say it's just Link's hand, given we know that spectral hand seems to merge with Link's, but it doesn't quite match up to the other scenes we see of Link's hand. When Zelda says she's not sure he can beat him and Link jumps, you can briefly see both of Link's hands and both look normal, not even having the adornments that hand has, whereas later, after the scene of the figures reach for each other, when we see Link look at his hand, it looks more decrepit, or like he's wearing a glove given how his arm looks further down, then it shows off some of those new abilities again. All in all, it seems Link's hand might change a lot, and either that is Link's hand we see, or it's the original owner of the spectral hand, perhaps the whole scene being a flashback cutscene of that person prior to them sealing Ganondorf, maybe the Hero from the first Calamity saying goodbye to the Zelda of the time. All that remains of them now is their hand and magical abilities, effectively gifted to Link to save Hyrule once more. And whether that is the case or not, judging by Zelda saying Link may not be able to win this time, then at the end asking someone for help, I'm getting the feeling that this is it. The final battle with Ganondorf. Perhaps the end of the cycle, of the curse of Demise, or perhaps simply the end of Ganondorf's role, with him being replaced with a new king of evil. Going with that and my point how that scene is very reminiscent of Skyward Sword, with the platform in the back and that person's outfit being reminiscent of when Zelda sealed herself, I'm wondering if maybe the end of the cycle is the theme. The start of the cycle meets the end, but not in the infinite loop like that one theory. No, instead with the original ones granting their strength to these ones, with Hylia, now a goddess again, aiding Zelda in preparing Link for the final confrontation. With Demise granting his power to Ganondorf, making him more powerful than ever, more than an incarnation of his hatred but perhaps briefly a vessel for his power. And finally, with Link, given strength from the First Hero, whom aided Hylia in her first fight against Demise back when she raised Skyloft into the sky, made possible only by Hylia and Zelda. Whether this leads to the end of the cycle so future games can break free of it and do things differently, or whether this simply means replacing Ganondorf as the incarnation of Denise's hatred, I can see this being the end. After all, while a different series entirely, this year also marks the end of the Pokemon anime, another long running series, and providing a turning point by allowing a new protagonist and everything. I can see them maybe looking at that and saying "maybe we should have our own end of an era?" Both series have overlapped important occasions for their series before.
The scene with the bokoblins mining kind of vaguely reminded me of Blackreach from Skyrim, with these light blue-greenish particles in the air and the mushroom-esque structures in the background.
I think that the two figures are the goddess Hylia and Link (right after he gets his arm infected with malice) the “platform” behind “Hylia” looks like it’s some sort of spiritual water pond. I think that this sequence is probably early in the game after finishing the tutorial or at the start of the tutorial. Maybe her holding hands with “link” is how she transfers her power into the arm.

Then the more tears you find the more people (and with them side quests) return to Hyrule? I’d think this would be quite a dark but very thrilling concept.
the glowing lady is Hylia for sure. I would like *someone* to talk about the Nazca Lines that are shown multiple times throughout the trailer, huge lit up designs carved into the ground for an as yet unknown reason. They're shown multiple times in multiple locations
Did anyone notice the reversed chanting / singing towards the end of the trailer when the title was shown? It sounds very similar to the style of reversed songs or talking from Twilight Princess. Specifically, it reminds me of the teleportation noise from TwPr. I’m probably biased because Twilight Princess is my favorite Zelda game, but it’s still cool to think that the twilight realm and its people / lore may be possibly playing a big role on TotK
That HAS TO be Links had reaching out to “Zelda” in her Zonai Dress. The green hand has long fingers and a thin arm. Did you notice the Frog/Lizard golem from the last trailer has the same symbol and the bomb thrower and the car?
Sir, I think you got it backwards. The figure is Link and the other person is either Zelda or Hylia fused with her like Skyward sword. Remember the same thing pretty much happened to SS Zelda when she made the sacrifice to help Link
I’m going to say it again and leave it here: I don’t think this is Ganon; I think this is Demise. One of the theorists said this might be the end of the Zelda timeline before it loops (pretty sure it was you, actually). If that’s the case, we have Demise and Hylia fighting against each other with Link holding back a legion of demons. I’ve also thought it was weird that all the humans in BotW are “Hylians”, not “Hyruleans”. There’s a definitive difference between the groups and they went out of their way to say these are Hylians.

People are speculating that the girl in the white dress that grabs his infected hand is actually goddess hylia. What if when they are in the dungeon from the first trailer, Zelda gets attacked by Gannon and falls and while Link tries to save her she gets taken over by malice and absorbs into his arm when he grabs her. And throughout the game, you're trying to figure out how to release her and that shot if the hand grabbing his is a shot of close to the end of the game, when you've found goddess hylia and she releases Zelda and Gannon from you so you can have your epic final battle
I think that creature inside the big malice explosion could be that dragon thing on the bridge over Lake Hylia because the big rectangle it explodes in front of looks like the entryways on the bridge. Also, I personally think the two figures who grab hands are Link and Zelda, because the hand of the one person seems to have the same markings that Link got that allow him to do all those crazy things. I agree that the other figure looks like Zelda. I think it could be her after she's reached some sort of... enlightenment by connecting with Hylia somehow, hence the glow all around her.
A thought I had right away at seeing the final scene of Zelda and Link is that I believe she might have sacrificed herself to save Link. In earlier trailers we see her falling by herself and the hand that was holding Ganondorf catching Link, so was she asking whoever that hand is to help save Link and give him the power needed to try and succeed? When Link goes to catch her in this trailer his arm is ruined from the malice and not covered in the markings of the hand yet. I can't wait for the game to come out!! And I'm very excited to watch your future videos!!
i could be wrong but i think the green hand that grabs zelda is link. the bracelet looks the same as it does on link’s hand in the launch timing update. i also feel like if that was zelda then they would show her face so maybe it’s a new character.
I think the significance of the faces not being shown in the link/Zelda handshake is that it is an event that has repeated throughout history. The one depicted in the mural Is hylia forging a pact with the zonai deity. The one we see is either the modern link and Zelda OR the link from the zonai empire era attempting to reaffirm that pact. Also, at the end we see machine parts falling from the sky. Given that the banjo kazooie nuts and bolts vehicle crafting seems to be the game's major new system, I think these devices falling from the sky are the titular tears of the ZONAI kingdom.
Ok there are a few things about this I want to say: 1. OMG OMG I really hope those are Redeads! Redeads and Iron Knuckles have always been my favorite enemies. 2. Pretty sure that's a Gleeok on the Bridge of Hylia. That's the three headed dragon thing. I'm so happy that they're bringing in more enemies. 3. I'm so excited for all of the different travel technologies. Like that flying glider thing, or that tractor looking thing. 4. I'm really curious about the giant pictographs across the landscape. 5. I was more curious about the small flashing lights in Hateno village than those big machines or whatever they are that you said looked like the aliens from Majora's Mask. But since you pointed them out I do wonder what they are now. 6. I don't like Gannon's voice. It should be a MUCH deeper pitch. Also this guy just doesn't sound angry or evil enough in my opinion. 7. So it looks like Zelda is alive, just maybe in another realm or something...? She says "Please, lend him your power!" Is she talking to Hylia? Most likely she's talking to the owner of the green arm. Whoever that is.
I don’t think the Redeads are Redeads. They have a tail reminiscent to a scorpion. You can see it move in the trailer. Personally, I think it’s a completely new enemy with just a semblance to a Redead.
Why is NO ONE talking about last cut: “lend HIM your power”? To who? Link from another dimension??? To who Link must gave his power and its so important that Zelda begs him?
5:26 This is random but I noticed Zelda has indeed cut her hair shorter and when compared to this image I actually don’t see any long flowing hair anywhere or maybe it’s just behind her. This can also indicate this could be Zelda assuming Hylia does have long hair.

Hey! In the background of the car scene in the trailer, when Link is driving it, where the Duiling Peaks are, you see a donut shape hole in between them.
Do you think the Divine Beasts will make an appearance in TOTK? They were such big parts of the prior story and were still very much there at the end of BOTW, so it would be strange for them to suddenly disappear. Even if they play no significant role in the next storyline, I think it would be fun to at least have them present in the world.
One thing that I noticed is that in the background of some shots of the trailer you can see the labyrinths are also floating above hyrule. Edit: one can be seen at 8:03

I think the shot of Link diving after Zelda is immediately filled by the green hand grabbing him from the first trailer. His left arm is even stretched back like how he’s caught in that shot
the hand reaching for zelda is link's hand after combining with the creature bc in the first trailer when the creature's hand reaches for link, its nails are very long but when it attaches to link, the nails shorten. and thats what we see in this trailer.
Fun fact: at around 8:44 if you go frame by frame just before that weird malice explosion, you'd see that the master sword is practically covered in malice.
The figure in the explosion seems to resemble ganondorfs design in oot. Look at how the hair is more quilled and spiky than what has been seen recently. Maybe this is what the 'rehydrated' version of gannon that people where making art of when the game was first announced
Seeing all of the malice pouring down from the blood moon in here in Ganondorf, call his minions to rise and destroy and kill everything seals the deal for me that this is the story told in skyward sword. I actually am 100% convinced that this will be the end of the timeline And will create a forever loop of Zelda, becoming Hylia, and Hylia becoming Zelda. This also means that Ganondorf is Demise. And link, I guess, is still link?
I don’t think that will happen it uses the same engine they used to make breath of the wild, but this is a new game. It would be nice if you could do that though start with maximum hearts, but I think they will make the players start with 3 or 4 hearts 3 most likely.
I have a feeling the game is going to pick up at the first blood moon after the events of breath of the wild. Once we complete the story, you can still run into blood moons that resurrect everything you’ve killed. Maybe this one is particularly strong with malice after you defeat Ganon which makes Ganondorf come back and all the monsters you’ve killed thus far are different now???
Hey Hyrule Gamer, I believe that at 1:27, it’s the Great Korok forest for two major reasons. In the second trailer, we can’t seem to see the Korok forest. Also in this trailer, the tree in the middle is what I assume to be the Deku Tree, just shriveled up. This is just a hunch, so take it with a grain of salt. I hope this helps!

check out 1:07 when you can see the dragon type creature fly over the orange river. on the right river bank it looks like the zonai ruins that in BotW are shrouded in darkness for the hinox/shrine quest. it would be so cool to explore that area in daylight!
The shot of Link staring at his "gloved" right hand as though seeing it for the first time. The Master Sword, evils' bane, eaten away by malice. Link leaping after Zelda as she plummets, his malice-damaged right arm reaching out for her. Zelda, suddenly wearing formal, one might say "Goddess", clothing. It all leads to one conclusion: Link tried to catch Zelda as she fell, but his hand and arm _crumbles and Princess Zelda plunges to her _*_death._* And she is reborn once more in the spiritual realm as Hylia. When we hear Zelda beseeching someone to help "him" (obviously Link), it is to this mysterious figure (I'm willing to call her the (likely mummified like the Trial Sheikah Monks) Queen of the Zonai for now) to aid Link in granting him a new arm with which to fight with. And it is this arm that allows Link to utilize the Zonai tech we see all throughout the trailer. My last thought is that the voice we hear, telling *his servents* to destroy this kingdom and her allies...to leave no survivors? That sounds WAY less like Ganondorf and WAY more like *Demise.* Almost as though what we were told at the conclusion of Skyward Sword and how the Master Sword would eventually _disintegrate_ his essence might not have been the full story. That there might have been more to his "curse" than we ever thought before. That perhaps it was more or less just his body that was absorbed but his spirit lingered within Ganondorf as his curse. Which wouldn't be that big of a deal as Ganondorf gets killed and resurrected every now and then, or gets stuck in an alternate reality for a few hundred years before eating it. We have never seen Ganondorf, nor Ganon, this powerful before. Not even when he had full access to the Triforce, such as in A Link to the Past. While Ganondorf sought to conquer, he rarely sought to simply destroy everything. But Demise did. And this is why the monsters are so powerful now: They have their true master back, and more powerful than ever before.
Ganon is out of the equation. He was permanently sealed away with the full Triforce at the end of BOTW. I'd guess that Demise's hatred for Hylia has possessed Ganondorf and now "Ganondorf" is out for Hylia's head, add Link as well
I think that the mysterious creator is Zelda’s mom because in the carving she looks like a Hylian, and the death of Zelda’s mom affected Zelda a lot so I’m guessing you free Zelda’s mom in the game
So a couple things worth mentioning, theories obviously. 1.a. The figure in the ball of fire looks a bit like a bull with massive horns. 1.b. The glowing objects that you thought were aliens look like bioluminescent plants to me: flowers that open up when you get closer to them for example. 2. Unlikely, but the hand touching Zelda's could be a redesigned Midna or reincarnation of the same "character" so to speak. Since they mentioned skyward sword already in the inspiration of this game I could see this game attempting to connect some of the other major games aka SS BotW and TP. 3. The technology we see is bound with the green glowing parts, and we see link pull a single wheel out of the water followed by him riding a "cart". I think we will be building these devices somehow, connecting the technology to platforms/binding objects, in order to build things like the flying object with the four propellers and the cart. Hopefully these objects are not premade and we just find the parts, but a system that lets you put them together yourself (which I'm leaning towards considering the presentation with the green connections).
I'm gonna go on a whim and say that the flames at 1:50 is life essence dropped by enemies and if you pick it up it charges link's arm allowing him to use abilities.
The bridge scene in the Trailer featured a Two headed dragon on fire that can only be one thing *A FUSION BETWEEN AQUAMENTUS AND VOLVAGIA* And worst it just might be the replacement for the Lynels!
The scene at 1:31 is also underground (the scene with the monster mining). If you listen closely at the sound of the pick axe hitting the rock it echoes like sound you would hear in a cave. A little confusing since there is grass on the ground.

The hand hold scene is either Link and Hylia, or Link and Zelda. It's actually incredibly similar to Link's Zoni hand from the trailer if you look close.

Well my biggest issue is that in breath of the wild I played almost 500 hours looking for seeds then my buddy made fun of me because I didn’t even know what I was going to get for finding. Almost 700 found before I googled what I got. Well I was NOT happy when I figured it out. While it was one of the best I’ve ever played I got a little upset. Tbh I never put the game back in my system. I might not wait to see next time. And was it any benefit to finding those. Like they should work the rainbow pile of….. emoji into this one. But i just realized something, in Links totk ancient zonai outfit his hair down kinda reminds me of the other person in those murals with Zelda except shorter hair, now this is a massive and huge hunch but what if that person or being is actually Link or a version of him atleast? I also thought of this cuz in the scene where Zelda reaches for the other person's hand she doesn't seem to hesitate and it looks like she tries to gently hold the other persons hand and we don't know if the person or being will actually look completely like how they do in the mural for all we know they could look completely different, but it is best to assume they will look the same, idk if I'm overthinking this or not so I'll leave the rest up to you to figure out
I don't think the woman in the white dress is Zelda at all I believe it is the goddess Hylia. Regardless, the hand reaching back out to her is clearly Link as we have seen his corrupted hand several times over now. Other than that, I think your theories were great!
I’m thinking that hand reaching out to Hylia is a Zonai priest or their champion (the desication is extremely similar to the Sheika Sages).

i was thinking the same thing about that being hylia. i wonder if totk is going to go more in depth to the lore of the entire series sort of like how skyward sword did. that would explain why porting over ss was chosen over other games if totk is going to bounce of of that.

Especially with links face and him holding up his arm as well as zeldas voice only moments after that event. And also the ouroboros represents life death rebirth and cycles, which is what the zelda series is all about. This could mean it is a reoresentation of the two reincarnating and having their souls and power continuously fight for eternity, which fits well with having hylia and this zonai warrior but making us believe it is link and zelda

The malice explosion with a figure inside may be a Lynel and coming out may be its new form. If you look more closely it seems to have the Lynel silhouette with its hind legs visible, but I'm obviously not certain. Lynels not even appearing in this trailer might be an indication they're doing something new with them. Since they introduced some new enemy forms, they might give the Lynel a new buffed up form as well, which would be kinda nuts.

I presume the figure in the white dress wasn‘t our Zelda, it was the Zelda from the ancient time and she‘s shaking hands with the green tunic Link. I‘d say that our Link got the memories of that ancient Link with his new arm. Idk whether there will be some time traveling involved, or if ancient Link and Zelda are spirits or only memories than we can see on certain occasions.
So if it is in fact "ancient Zelda", wouldn't that mean Link is taking the hand of Hylia herself?

I love how fast I got this video from you! I also wanted to mention that Link’s hand glows when he uses the special arrows, and the fact that he doesn’t have the Master Sword when he rushes to Zelda. And he isn’t using it the rest of the trailer, but the sword he uses appeared cover in malice. I’ll shout loud “I TOLD YOU SO!” to my siblings if it loops back to Skyward Sword.

I personally believe SS, WW, TP and MM may ALL be relevant.
1. That first blood moon. The malice almost looked like it was pouring out of it, not the first time the moon has been possessed - also. If Hylia is the light, the sun goddess and all that is good in the world, would that make Demise the moon? Always in the suns shadow, only a reflection of light and no more - forever stuck in the shadow of the sun?
SS - the way the sword is damaged, Minish Cap (maybe relevant) also focuses on the reforging of a sacred blade but SS told the original story.
TP - the light spirits (maybe Zonai?), Ganondorfs appearance
WW - those new Blins, redeads and kargaroks (which i believe appeared in TP as well but more reptilian)
Honestly: when Nintendo said this was at the end of all timelines (paraphrased) I partially expected this, a convergent of the timelines without actually having to merge them into one. All roads lead to the same destination; the journey is up to you.
Now the how? How can all three timelines be relevant? Well, Link recovered his memories from 100 years ago. Whos to say Ganondorf hasn't retained or remembered all of his past lives/past in general. He has beeb stewing for quite some time underground(?)

You missed the dragon with flaming heads on the bridge shot. Also I'm pretty sure the shots of different vehicles at the end means that you will be able to build them yourself. We get a shot of link finding attire in the mud and then we get a shot of those tires on the car

The shot right after that Link is holding up his "modified" arm looking at it move, and it seems to imply the same hand that Zelda reached for

But that could be misdirection- they want us to think it’s Link, but it could be the being who’s arm it is originally, the one who then helps Link when his arm is damaged.
Ok but where did he get that arm? It was the original owner and that person gave that power to Link. Hence, the new arm.
I believe Tears of the Kingdom us gonna tie together a lot of the games. For example, the redead looming enemies, Ocarina of Time. Sky exploration, Skyward Sword. Possible aliens from Majora's Mask. And personally, the flying enemies look like Kargaroks, Wind Waker. Particles in the air, specific green shade used in this game and the similarities between the Zonai and Twili, Twilight Princess.
This can all come together with how Ganondorf says, "Eliminate this Kingdom and her allies." Her allies, perhaps he means the Spirit Realm, the Twilight Realm, the sky realm, Termina, Lorule, etc?

Or it's BotW Link grabbing Hylia's hand, which is more likely.
I believe this game might also signal the end of the reincarnations, only because in BotW, I believe someone says Ganon gave up his reincarnated form to become Calamity Ganon. So if Demise truly makes a return, and assuming he doesn't curse Link and Zelda to the cycle like in Skyward Sword, this game might be Hylia and Link vs Demise, which would be really cool.

All of the bokoblin/moblins' new horn shaped look like weapons so I think the horns will drop upon death and be used as some kind of crafting or repair material for whatever weapon they look like.

The thing you lift from the swamp is like a tier. Then you see what looks to be a vehicle, meaning you will be able to construct these machines yourself. If you also focus on those machines they have these lime green between parts which seems to assemble the pieces together.
The figure with the green hand is obviously link after he's gotten recovered but I am more interested in what looks to be the little sleeves / scarf thing that the white figure is holding I wonder if that actually comes apart and reforms around links arm similar to how the Gate of time did in Skyward Sword.. I'm also interested in other enemies such as what I believe to be kagorocs flying around as new enemies.... I'm also curious about those vehicles, they remind me of a build-your-own vehicle simulator like Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts
The trailer was THE COOLEST EVER !! And my personal theory about the lady link reached out to might be hylia herself, like maybe Hylia took over zeldas body or something, or maybe the lady in the stone carvings is the zonais rendition of goddess hylia, and with the light coming from her just like zeldas dream she mentioned in botw, I really think it’s a possibility !
I looked at the new trailer, and thought, wow I dont have the combat skills necessary to fight this time around.
I have a theory on the scene where the guardian arms snap at link while on a sheikah platform. Perhaps the detection of malice in his arm is making him be rejected from the system, keeping him from gaining from any shrines or sheikah tech found.

In the glowing explosion at 3:33, you can notice a spider-like Guardian being consumed by the flames. You can tell, going off of arachnid anatomy, as well as the segmented Sheikah design of the legs, nearly identical to Guardians and the claws for feet of the entity. I counted four different legs on the right side of the image, which led me to further believe this theory. I'd love to hear your thoughts though!

Regarding the two figures reaching out to each other, where you speculate one to be Zelda:
While that does look like Zelda, the outfit and glow makes me think back to Skyward Sword, to her appearance there when they revealed her to be the descendant of Hylia, before she sealed herself in amber. The platform looks similar to that as well. As such, it's possible that it's Hylia, in Zelda's body. As for the other hand, it looks like the green hand we see in the other trailers, the one that had been holding down Ganondorf and that saved Link, but as a normal hand instead of the spectral green light hand we saw. I did see someone say it's just Link's hand, given we know that spectral hand seems to merge with Link's, but it doesn't quite match up to the other scenes we see of Link's hand. When Zelda says she's not sure he can beat him and Link jumps, you can briefly see both of Link's hands and both look normal, not even having the adornments that hand has, whereas later, after the scene of the figures reach for each other, when we see Link look at his hand, it looks more decrepit, or like he's wearing a glove given how his arm looks further down, then it shows off some of those new abilities again. All in all, it seems Link's hand might change a lot, and either that is Link's hand we see, or it's the original owner of the spectral hand, perhaps the whole scene being a flashback cutscene of that person prior to them sealing Ganondorf, maybe the Hero from the first Calamity saying goodbye to the Zelda of the time. All that remains of them now is their hand and magical abilities, effectively gifted to Link to save Hyrule once more.
And whether that is the case or not, judging by Zelda saying Link may not be able to win this time, then at the end asking someone for help, I'm getting the feeling that this is it. The final battle with Ganondorf. Perhaps the end of the cycle, of the curse of Demise, or perhaps simply the end of Ganondorf's role, with him being replaced with a new king of evil.
Going with that and my point how that scene is very reminiscent of Skyward Sword, with the platform in the back and that person's outfit being reminiscent of when Zelda sealed herself, I'm wondering if maybe the end of the cycle is the theme. The start of the cycle meets the end, but not in the infinite loop like that one theory. No, instead with the original ones granting their strength to these ones, with Hylia, now a goddess again, aiding Zelda in preparing Link for the final confrontation. With Demise granting his power to Ganondorf, making him more powerful than ever, more than an incarnation of his hatred but perhaps briefly a vessel for his power. And finally, with Link, given strength from the First Hero, whom aided Hylia in her first fight against Demise back when she raised Skyloft into the sky, made possible only by Hylia and Zelda. Whether this leads to the end of the cycle so future games can break free of it and do things differently, or whether this simply means replacing Ganondorf as the incarnation of Denise's hatred, I can see this being the end.
After all, while a different series entirely, this year also marks the end of the Pokemon anime, another long running series, and providing a turning point by allowing a new protagonist and everything. I can see them maybe looking at that and saying "maybe we should have our own end of an era?" Both series have overlapped important occasions for their series before.
The scene with the bokoblins mining kind of vaguely reminded me of Blackreach from Skyrim, with these light blue-greenish particles in the air and the mushroom-esque structures in the background.

I think that the two figures are the goddess Hylia and Link (right after he gets his arm infected with malice) the “platform” behind “Hylia” looks like it’s some sort of spiritual water pond. I think that this sequence is probably early in the game after finishing the tutorial or at the start of the tutorial. Maybe her holding hands with “link” is how she transfers her power into the arm.

the glowing lady is Hylia for sure. I would like *someone* to talk about the Nazca Lines that are shown multiple times throughout the trailer, huge lit up designs carved into the ground for an as yet unknown reason. They're shown multiple times in multiple locations

Did anyone notice the reversed chanting / singing towards the end of the trailer when the title was shown? It sounds very similar to the style of reversed songs or talking from Twilight Princess. Specifically, it reminds me of the teleportation noise from TwPr. I’m probably biased because Twilight Princess is my favorite Zelda game, but it’s still cool to think that the twilight realm and its people / lore may be possibly playing a big role on TotK

I’m going to say it again and leave it here: I don’t think this is Ganon; I think this is Demise. One of the theorists said this might be the end of the Zelda timeline before it loops (pretty sure it was you, actually). If that’s the case, we have Demise and Hylia fighting against each other with Link holding back a legion of demons.
I’ve also thought it was weird that all the humans in BotW are “Hylians”, not “Hyruleans”. There’s a definitive difference between the groups and they went out of their way to say these are Hylians.

People are speculating that the girl in the white dress that grabs his infected hand is actually goddess hylia. What if when they are in the dungeon from the first trailer, Zelda gets attacked by Gannon and falls and while Link tries to save her she gets taken over by malice and absorbs into his arm when he grabs her. And throughout the game, you're trying to figure out how to release her and that shot if the hand grabbing his is a shot of close to the end of the game, when you've found goddess hylia and she releases Zelda and Gannon from you so you can have your epic final battle
I think that creature inside the big malice explosion could be that dragon thing on the bridge over Lake Hylia because the big rectangle it explodes in front of looks like the entryways on the bridge.
Also, I personally think the two figures who grab hands are Link and Zelda, because the hand of the one person seems to have the same markings that Link got that allow him to do all those crazy things. I agree that the other figure looks like Zelda. I think it could be her after she's reached some sort of... enlightenment by connecting with Hylia somehow, hence the glow all around her.
It looks like a lynel fused with a guardian… you can see a horse like body with tentacles like the guardians have.

The hand clasping zelda's hand is probably link's who took on the powers of the figure in the carvings
A thought I had right away at seeing the final scene of Zelda and Link is that I believe she might have sacrificed herself to save Link. In earlier trailers we see her falling by herself and the hand that was holding Ganondorf catching Link, so was she asking whoever that hand is to help save Link and give him the power needed to try and succeed? When Link goes to catch her in this trailer his arm is ruined from the malice and not covered in the markings of the hand yet.
I can't wait for the game to come out!! And I'm very excited to watch your future videos!!
i could be wrong but i think the green hand that grabs zelda is link. the bracelet looks the same as it does on link’s hand in the launch timing update. i also feel like if that was zelda then they would show her face so maybe it’s a new character.

I think the significance of the faces not being shown in the link/Zelda handshake is that it is an event that has repeated throughout history. The one depicted in the mural Is hylia forging a pact with the zonai deity. The one we see is either the modern link and Zelda OR the link from the zonai empire era attempting to reaffirm that pact. Also, at the end we see machine parts falling from the sky. Given that the banjo kazooie nuts and bolts vehicle crafting seems to be the game's major new system, I think these devices falling from the sky are the titular tears of the ZONAI kingdom.
I don’t think the wisp things are our traditional spirits, they don’t look green enough to fit with the others we’ve seen in botw
I honestly believe that the voice we heard is more likely to be Demise, not Gannon, but maybe that's wishful thinking too.
I agree, the voice sounds less deep than his voice in other games, and by that I mean the laughing from OOT and his grunts in TP
Ok there are a few things about this I want to say:
1. OMG OMG I really hope those are Redeads! Redeads and Iron Knuckles have always been my favorite enemies.
2. Pretty sure that's a Gleeok on the Bridge of Hylia. That's the three headed dragon thing. I'm so happy that they're bringing in more enemies.
3. I'm so excited for all of the different travel technologies. Like that flying glider thing, or that tractor looking thing.
4. I'm really curious about the giant pictographs across the landscape.
5. I was more curious about the small flashing lights in Hateno village than those big machines or whatever they are that you said looked like the aliens from Majora's Mask. But since you pointed them out I do wonder what they are now.
6. I don't like Gannon's voice. It should be a MUCH deeper pitch. Also this guy just doesn't sound angry or evil enough in my opinion.
7. So it looks like Zelda is alive, just maybe in another realm or something...? She says "Please, lend him your power!" Is she talking to Hylia? Most likely she's talking to the owner of the green arm. Whoever that is.
I don’t think the Redeads are Redeads. They have a tail reminiscent to a scorpion. You can see it move in the trailer. Personally, I think it’s a completely new enemy with just a semblance to a Redead.

5:26 This is random but I noticed Zelda has indeed cut her hair shorter and when compared to this image I actually don’t see any long flowing hair anywhere or maybe it’s just behind her. This can also indicate this could be Zelda assuming Hylia does have long hair.

Hey! In the background of the car scene in the trailer, when Link is driving it, where the Duiling Peaks are, you see a donut shape hole in between them.
Do you think the Divine Beasts will make an appearance in TOTK? They were such big parts of the prior story and were still very much there at the end of BOTW, so it would be strange for them to suddenly disappear. Even if they play no significant role in the next storyline, I think it would be fun to at least have them present in the world.
One thing that I noticed is that in the background of some shots of the trailer you can see the labyrinths are also floating above hyrule.

I think the shot of Link diving after Zelda is immediately filled by the green hand grabbing him from the first trailer. His left arm is even stretched back like how he’s caught in that shot

I thought that the hand was for sure link's corrupted hand, didn't realize it could be someone else's
the hand reaching for zelda is link's hand after combining with the creature bc in the first trailer when the creature's hand reaches for link, its nails are very long but when it attaches to link, the nails shorten. and thats what we see in this trailer.
Fun fact: at around 8:44 if you go frame by frame just before that weird malice explosion, you'd see that the master sword is practically covered in malice.
There were some weird sounds at the end of the trailer that could be some sort of code or revered audio
The figure in the explosion seems to resemble ganondorfs design in oot. Look at how the hair is more quilled and spiky than what has been seen recently. Maybe this is what the 'rehydrated' version of gannon that people where making art of when the game was first announced
Seeing all of the malice pouring down from the blood moon in here in Ganondorf, call his minions to rise and destroy and kill everything seals the deal for me that this is the story told in skyward sword. I actually am 100% convinced that this will be the end of the timeline And will create a forever loop of Zelda, becoming Hylia, and Hylia becoming Zelda.
This also means that Ganondorf is Demise. And link, I guess, is still link?
I could also see the Zonai being the interlopers and seeing the twilight princess story being a huge part of this.
Why isn't anyone mentioning Ganondorf talking? Seriously he's wants to take over Hyrule!

I don’t think that will happen it uses the same engine they used to make breath of the wild, but this is a new game. It would be nice if you could do that though start with maximum hearts, but I think they will make the players start with 3 or 4 hearts 3 most likely.
Anyone notice the dark Zonai area that is behind the Korok forest was no longer engulfed in darkness?
I have a feeling the game is going to pick up at the first blood moon after the events of breath of the wild. Once we complete the story, you can still run into blood moons that resurrect everything you’ve killed. Maybe this one is particularly strong with malice after you defeat Ganon which makes Ganondorf come back and all the monsters you’ve killed thus far are different now???
Hey Hyrule Gamer, I believe that at 1:27, it’s the Great Korok forest for two major reasons. In the second trailer, we can’t seem to see the Korok forest. Also in this trailer, the tree in the middle is what I assume to be the Deku Tree, just shriveled up. This is just a hunch, so take it with a grain of salt. I hope this helps!
The bokoblin(s?) And Lizalfos in the first shot look like they are covered in malice, perhaps the malice variants of enemies will return from Age of Calamity

im really curious about two things. one. what do the heiroglyphs in the image with zelda on the platform dechipher to? two. at around 1:40 in the trailer, the music has a sound of what sound sounds like in reverse. any speculations?
check out 1:07 when you can see the dragon type creature fly over the orange river. on the right river bank it looks like the zonai ruins that in BotW are shrouded in darkness for the hinox/shrine quest. it would be so cool to explore that area in daylight!

The shot of Link staring at his "gloved" right hand as though seeing it for the first time. The Master Sword, evils' bane, eaten away by malice. Link leaping after Zelda as she plummets, his malice-damaged right arm reaching out for her. Zelda, suddenly wearing formal, one might say "Goddess", clothing. It all leads to one conclusion: Link tried to catch Zelda as she fell, but his hand and arm _crumbles and Princess Zelda plunges to her _*_death._*
And she is reborn once more in the spiritual realm as Hylia.
When we hear Zelda beseeching someone to help "him" (obviously Link), it is to this mysterious figure (I'm willing to call her the (likely mummified like the Trial Sheikah Monks) Queen of the Zonai for now) to aid Link in granting him a new arm with which to fight with. And it is this arm that allows Link to utilize the Zonai tech we see all throughout the trailer.
My last thought is that the voice we hear, telling *his servents* to destroy this kingdom and her allies...to leave no survivors? That sounds WAY less like Ganondorf and WAY more like *Demise.* Almost as though what we were told at the conclusion of Skyward Sword and how the Master Sword would eventually _disintegrate_ his essence might not have been the full story. That there might have been more to his "curse" than we ever thought before.
That perhaps it was more or less just his body that was absorbed but his spirit lingered within Ganondorf as his curse. Which wouldn't be that big of a deal as Ganondorf gets killed and resurrected every now and then, or gets stuck in an alternate reality for a few hundred years before eating it. Except this time he _wasn't._ He was sealed for _10,000 years._ Ten-thousand years for his hatred for grow. Ten-thousand years for his malice to accumulate.
We have never seen Ganondorf, nor Ganon, this powerful before. Not even when he had full access to the Triforce, such as in A Link to the Past. While Ganondorf sought to conquer, he rarely sought to simply destroy everything.
But Demise did.
And this is why the monsters are so powerful now: They have their true master back, and more powerful than ever before.
Ganon is out of the equation. He was permanently sealed away with the full Triforce at the end of BOTW. I'd guess that Demise's hatred for Hylia has possessed Ganondorf and now "Ganondorf" is out for Hylia's head, add Link as well
I think that the mysterious creator is Zelda’s mom because in the carving she looks like a Hylian, and the death of Zelda’s mom affected Zelda a lot so I’m guessing you free Zelda’s mom in the game
That's what I was thinking, either her mom, or Hylia.
I am seeing a decent amount of suggestions that the person in the "joining hands" shot is Hylia making a pact with the green handed person.
So a couple things worth mentioning, theories obviously.
1.a. The figure in the ball of fire looks a bit like a bull with massive horns.
1.b. The glowing objects that you thought were aliens look like bioluminescent plants to me: flowers that open up when you get closer to them for example.
2. Unlikely, but the hand touching Zelda's could be a redesigned Midna or reincarnation of the same "character" so to speak. Since they mentioned skyward sword already in the inspiration of this game I could see this game attempting to connect some of the other major games aka SS BotW and TP.
3. The technology we see is bound with the green glowing parts, and we see link pull a single wheel out of the water followed by him riding a "cart". I think we will be building these devices somehow, connecting the technology to platforms/binding objects, in order to build things like the flying object with the four propellers and the cart. Hopefully these objects are not premade and we just find the parts, but a system that lets you put them together yourself (which I'm leaning towards considering the presentation with the green connections).
I'm gonna go on a whim and say that the flames at 1:50 is life essence dropped by enemies and if you pick it up it charges link's arm allowing him to use abilities.
Floored that no one is talking about the Twilight Princess-esque sounds right at 8:33. That was the stuff that got my heart racing hahahah
The figure in the explosion with malice looks like it has at least 3 guardian like tentacles with huge claws coming out of it, insanely menacing
And the cherry on top with what sounds like Matthew Mercer as Ganondorf...I cannot wait to get my hands on this

The scene at 1:31 is also underground (the scene with the monster mining). If you listen closely at the sound of the pick axe hitting the rock it echoes like sound you would hear in a cave. A little confusing since there is grass on the ground.
