Georgian Bay - Crown Land Islands Camping

  • Overview of a long weekend sporadic trip after looking at the forecast of glass water conditions that would be highly favorable to paddle some of the rocky open shores along the blue clear waters of Georgian bay. For just 2 nights and commuting from southern Ontario, I covered a substantial amount of water in search of trophy fish that may reside within this immerse ecosystem. The destination is a well known crown land area around Parry Sound that can be busy, but rest assured there's plenty of spots that if you try to seclude yourself you won't feel too close to civilization.

Great video and that bass is huge. Just wondering about parking, any suggestions? Thanks

I can't disclose the exact location, but most Marina's/Boat Launches have paid parking available, take a few google searches and use the google maps, not too hard to figure out. Killarney to Parry Sound has loads of places.

Watch out for the rattlesnakes ... do not chase them into the long grass !!

@GPHOWE have heard about them around there, never seen one myself though. Curious on the density/population of them.

Can't disclose fully on the internet, but it's not too far north of Parry Sound
