It’s the ‘uncomfortableness’ for others that has led to us stuffing down our emotions for far too damn long. The sweet ‘treat’ stuffed in the child’s hand, the gentle ‘shushing’ to stop their tears, the urging to ‘hush now, that’s enough’. Argh. Let it all out Jessie and in doing so you give the rest of us permission to feel exactly what we feel and let it show too.

I’ll always remember my dog loving me just a little bit more when I was sad .. then he was gone and that sadness never really ended . That smile , always gets me .. so genuine .

Thank you for being vulnerable when we are constantly told that it is "weakness". It's quite the opposite. As "Time's winged chariot" swiftly moves on, I find myself crying more frequently, I need less prodding, because...universe.

Dear Jessie, I feel you man. I love you man. It’s okay to cry. It’s so important to cry. And to experience those emotions and be okay with them. To give yourself that gift.
I was so so sad a few weeks ago. And for a bloody good reason! It wouldn’t go away until I dealt with the reason, and Leaned into the sadness.
There are so many ways to say it poorly, but in my experience, we can only experience happiness and joy because we have the contrast of pain. And in my experience so much growth comes out of suffering… much more so than contentment.
On Sunday I finished writing a song about crying. It was for a friend who is very sensitive (like us) and cries about just about everything.
And so I’m gonna send it to your email. And I do hope you feel better. And if you’d like to share what hurts, I’m all ears to hear it here or there.
