Thank you for sharing different areas and homes in the villages..where you both live makes retirement fun to the fullest..and precious furbaby riding shotgun was priceless...have a great week
Frank, love your videos. Can you do another drive through the Well Point Patio Villas so we can see how far they advance. Will be there soon and we like that area. Thanks
Yes, these houses are all alike, but what more can you do with an open concept? I want 4 walls in my kitchen. This allows for more cabinets. I want a window over the sink and a dinette area with windows. The rest of the main living area can be open. Put the kitchen in the back behind the garage so you can have windows. You can still get to it thru the garage. You need all the light you can get in these little houses. While black and white is nice, black roofs in Florida are contraindicated because black absorbs heat. Your cooling costs may be higher. In addition, black roofs don’t have as long a life as lighter colored roofs. They rot. I like the newer style vinyl. It’s smooth, no little curves.
You know, thats a good question! Didnt think of that. The only thing I could think of might would be that it’s installed next to the gas meter. Otherwise, I would have no idea as to what the thought process is.
The patio villas are standard stick frame homes. Where as the courtyard or veranda, homes, or stucco exterior finish that can be precast concrete walls or builder block..
Thank you for showing me various neighborhoods. I listed my house today and I’m heading down there. I’m going to try to get a lifestyle visit in once I secure a deal. If you were buying a new patio villa what neighborhood would you pick in the new sections?
Well, that could be a tricky question, because for me it would be contingent on where I wanted to be centrally located to, say like… do I want to be closer to the main squares or to Eastport, there are other factors to consider as well but perhaps looking at what’s more important for you guys Could weigh heavily on the location you choose. One thing to think about is the county align do you want to be in Sumter County or Lake County for example. I believe it’s a lake county that the Taxs are higher there. good luck in your search.. its hard to pick a bad spot though.. thanks for watching.
The Villages builders install various different colors of shingles from a light tan to an onyx, black, and variations of gray. They are not all just dark. But they are consistent with any other homebuilder building a house anywhere.
I wish in the new houses that they didn't add the silly soap dish right above the bench. Which is ridiculous! You can't sit on it if needed. I would rather have the washer/ dryer in the house versus in the hot garage! I do like the looks of the black windows. They don't as cheesy as the white ones. I really dislike the vertical blinds in the patio doors ughg those went out years ago! I like the courtyard villas but i hate you can only see the garage on most of them. The front door is hidden. I know it's hot in Florida it's just as hot in Kansas and we don't hide or put our doors in a hallway. Those rolled floors cheap vinyl cracks me up. How cheap can they get. I do like some of the new houses on the street of dreams. The Westchester is one of our favorites. Too bad instead of the cheap landscape they just didn't give you an allowance. Well at least that powder blue front door wasn't orange like a few houses down. They do need help with colors that blend well together. Being in Florida in really surprised they don't use more Floridian type colors. Just my thoughts. Thanks for the ride around!
Too much house, too much money. Most older couples can do very well in 800 to 1000 sq/ft. Anything larger is just more room for stuff you don't need. Small, quiet and functional is all a house has to be for most. Less is more.
Depending on the size of the house, there are only so many layouts you can have. I don’t think any of these home fronts in the villas are attractive. The other section of homes are OK. Looks like some of them are models from above 44.
Thanks for the morning ride along Frank.
Any time!

@12:15, may want to check with the FAA on that statement, FAA controls the airspace.
Naw.. something ive heard, I don’t do it so I have no need to be concerned.

Thank you for watching and I do appreciate your comments
Why are the instant water heaters on the outside garage wall? So far away from where the hot water is needed Looks tacky and cheap

Are these precast structures or stick built vinyl homes?

Looks like the longer they’re in business the greedier they get. I guess there are more family members who all need to be Billionaires now.
🤷🏻♂️

All dark roofs! They absorb heat.Who is the architect? The devil.
