    Sounds like Alpine’s answer to the Kicker Key line.
    I’m sure it will be nice- I’m excited to check them out!

    How about explaining a sub out to a mono
    amp on channels 5/6? Especially, how do you adjust the settings on both the amp and channels 5/6

    I'm glad Eric acknowledged that the power output claims "break the laws of physics". They are claiming up to 900 watts of output, but the amp is only able to draw about 550 watts at any given moment.

    to make it even more user friendly, you should put together a 5 min tutorial on reading the frequency response and how to set the crossover.. Maybe with Alpine speakers OR just select "Alpine" and the model and its automagically sets everything based on the configuration. For example Alpine R2-S69C and location F or R , or to make it universal 60 - 40k Hz is your frequency response, 2 way, 3, 4 or componet. Does it have a crossover Y or N.. a basic user friendly workflow would go MILES to complete the system. I equate it to making my car easy to setup like SONOS...

    Can you run the High Level Speaker Outputs to speakers say 1-6 straight to my components and use at the SAME time channels 7 or 8 low RCA Outputs for the mono amp for my subwoofers? Basically I’m asking can I use the speaker outputs at the exact same time as the RCA outputs?

    • @alpinebrooks7803
      @alpinebrooks7803 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes you can use RCA and speaker output at the same time. Just keep in mind that if you use both RCA and amplified outputs from the same channels the x-overs and other settings will be the same on both types of outputs. The system you described won't need to be concerned with that, though.

      @@alpinebrooks7803 PERFECT 👍 The fact that you can use BOTH outputs (channels 1-2 at the same time with the RCA outs) is a GAME CHANGER!!! This unit should cost $1200
      Don’t up the price till after tomorrow I need to buy mine fires for $800 😂.

      @@alpinebrooks7803 One more question Mr. Brooks.
      1. I have a higher power front component setup in my car. 100rms 6x9 components.
      Options
      - Can I bridge channels 1 and 2 to get my rms level up to 100 watts rms? And then 3 and 4 for the other side?
      - Or can I use the High Level Sub Output channels 1-2 set with a Low Pass filter with the DSP to run my Front 6x9 components?
      I completely understand your response above about regardless of what outputs I use either separately, or at the same time that the filtering and EQ setting will be mirrored to both outputs.
      I just want my front stage to get the full experience of power and my rear fill can stay at 50 watt rms. Then use the last remaining channels for my mono block amp for the subwoofers.
      I already running an older Alpine MRP 300 for the my highs and mids.
      I just rather add the DSP now to clean up that signal and make more space in my car with the built in amplitude along with it.
      I ALWAYS HAVE HELD ALPINE IN MY TOP TIER since I was 18 and now I’m 46.

      @@julesbruchez-theartofgrapp9646 So you have a couple of options. You can remove the passive x-over networks and run a channel of the amp to each speaker individually and use the internal x-over in the DSP for control (this is running a system active). That would give you 50 watts to each tweeter and 50 watts to each mid-range. This would be my preferred way to run the system or you can go RCA out to your MRP 300 and continue to run the passives but still get the benefit of the DSP. I suggest watching our OPTIM videos on the Alpine TV channel for assistance with understanding the units setup. I did one at product launch and Dan did one that goes really in-depth on the setup. Hope this helps.

      @@alpinebrooks7803 Thank you Mr Brooks. I have watched both of those videos. And I plan to rewatch them.
      Although my current Alpine amp is only feeding 50 watts of rms power to my components. I still rather give it a little bit more power.
      I am REMOVING my current amp and ONLY will run the Optimal c80. So only the power that the highs and mids will receive will be from the DSP. I was just curious about how to get more power to those front components. I do understand your recommendation but I will most likely use the passive crossover in components.
      Thank you 🙏🏻 for your advice
      I have emailed Alpine 3 times and never got a response. I also called and not got a response. And the one day someone actually answered the were VERY rude.
      Thank you for your service and support. It’s hard to get people who are genuinely kind.

    Are 7. and 8. channels only sub out or can we powered 6x9 coaxials with them? I have 120 w rms coax rear doors . I am planning feed with 7 and 8 channel with two of them and front stage 3 way speaker for six channel.I have active sub I dont need sub amp but I will use rca outs to control sub.

    • @MotleyG
      @MotleyG 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can assign any of the 8 channels to any speaker or preamp output! But keep in mind these will be mirrored for each channel, they amped and preamp outputs are not independent. You can hi and lo pass all of your wish.

    Can this work with a full Alpine status system including the HDP-D90?

    • @MotleyG
      @MotleyG 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can use the Optim8, or even Optim6, in front of the signal chain to the Alpine Status or most other DSP units. The preamp outputs of the Optim can feed the inputs to the second processor. This is great for existing systems to add the Auto-Tuning features of the Optim series.

    Does the new platform work with the PXE-0850 or is it still old GUI?
