I’m wondering if any of them understood what Purple is going through. His father wanted him to be a fighter, but Purple never wanted to be. The father was disappointed, and so Purple tried to do what his father wanted to prove himself to him. In the end, Purple never lived up to the Father’s expectations. The father was angry at him, but Purple’s mother protected Purple from the father. And so, the father left.
Purple believes it is his fault, because he wasn’t good enough for his father to stay. And because he wasn’t good enough, his father left and his mother died of sadness. If only he could have been stronger, better, his father may have approved and his mother wouldn’t have been heartbroken. And so he tries to live life as the best, no matter what it takes. Even if it means stepping over others, he wishes to reach that strength his father wanted in him so that he wouldn’t feel such pain again. He fails the first time with the ender egg. Orange king gives him another chance, and Purple takes it. A chance to be a king himself. He does everything to gain that chance to be king, but is ultimately tossed aside, just as his father did to him those many years ago…
Green offers a different path. One that doesn’t follow what his father wanted. He doesn’t need to step on others to succeed. No, he can succeed with the help of those around him. Together, they can achieve strength above what even his father thought possible.
That’s the feeling I get from this

His mother didn’t want him to become into the careless warrior his father wanted purple to be.
By the end he got nothing, he never lived up to his father expectations but he did become into a careless warrior, forgetting every positive thing his mother taught him (that’s why in the end he’s unable of catching the petal).
There’s an Easter egg during Purple’s first appearance. His father is a blue stickman, and his mother is an orchid stickman. When we first see purple he’s grabbing a Minecraft flower named “blue orchid”.
