Being an American of Irish ancestry and raised a Catholic, I am fascinated and baffled by the practices of devotion. What the pilgrims go through on the island has always seemed like the strange actions of members of a club I don't belong to. But the story showed how much those practices and the symbols that come with it are part of the culture that contributed to my life. A quandry that is unresolvable and shouldn't be. It’s very hard imagine people in ancient times lived there well the monksI mean Isn’t it called Mount Patrick or am I mixing it up? I have never done it but I know people who did oh no, I think Mount Patrick is climbing the mountain with no shoes that’s hard to it’s full of stones
