This is a great ship and it does look stunning but is this any different to the XL version you can buy without the signature as i have got all 3 editions 500 - 1701,1000 - 1701- D, and 250 - 1701-E were made. The signature card reading 500 that is how many gold editions eaglemoss made of that ship by the looks of things, it looks like 250 of them have been used for the captain kirk signature. it makes it a bit disappointing if that is the case, if it is the same as i already have all they have done is put an envelope in the box, sticker on the front. shame you cannot just buy the plaque but even that seems to expensive for what it is, ok it is great to have a signature of William Shatner no question but it would have been nice if it was a plague with his photo on it. i have brought so many items of master replicates and i have enjoyed them all to complete my collection, if this had come out before selling the Gold XL models it would have be better, it just mean you would not have to buy it again if you wanted it. i have to say thou all the Gold XL version of the ships are amazing, but when you have over 300 eaglemoss ships it is hard to have them on display so mine are still boxed apart from some of the discovery ones. thank you for sharing the video and hope you enjoy the others you are waiting for. Actually, there is no difference at all in the Gold USS Enterprise XL NCC-1701 William Shatner Edition or the other Gold Enterprise. I agree, it should have been a little more special with his signature. As I understood it, there were 500 signatures of Andrew Probert and the XL Enterprise D (Again, there was not difference other than the signed card) and 500 for the Nanna Visitor and 250 for William Shatner. I hear you about being unable to display all your ships, lol. from Playmates to Diamond Select to Eaglemoss and my Star Trek Models I need a whole other house to display everything! Awesome, Jerry! Too bad the signature plaque is of a cardboard material. A small sheet of metal glued onto the onto the base would of been nice or even white marker on the base itself.

I totally agree. I was disappointed when I discovered it was cardboard.

Your model may be even more valuable if they're produced on such a rare edition size, with an odd error of the shuttle bay being upside down.
