I get all that, ya know, ICP will NEVER be able to go back to that amazing, magical era that was the first 6 joker cards and a part of me wishes that they had stopped after the 6th cuz could you imagine the kind of legacy that would have left behind if they had retired then? But saying all that their music since then has been there for me in some pretty rough times and all the freshness they deliver so regularly is fucking awesome if you're a music lover. You know? Like, it sucks when you love an artist and they take FOREVER to release their next album. Icp isn't like that, its continued freshness for the juggalos and I KNOW in my heart that that's because Violent J And Shaggy LOVE their fans. Not a money thing. They love us, and I for one am always gonna love them right fucking back.
Well, like I said, I will ALWAYS love ICP! Not only did they give me many great years of awesome music, and get me through some of the roughest times of my life, but I also respect the hell out of them for doing what they did back in the day! It was no easy feat for two white boys from Detroit painted like clowns to make it in rap music! But, that was then, and this is now. And, I don't like the direction they have been STEADILY going for the last 7 plus years! It just gets worse and worse every year! The fan base(Juggalos) are more of a homogenized product now rather than a real movement...it just got lame after awhile. I was down with the clown because in those days, us Juggalos were ACTUAL outcasts! I was a Juggalo when nobody even knew what the fuck that was! It's just lost it's flavor, it's lost it's originality, and I feel that it is dead...just my opinion. But, make no mistake about it, I will ALWAYS love ICP and the underground!
