I’m such a huge zayn fan and I absolutely loved your opinions in this video. Obviously over time all the boys have had time to reflect, heal and mature. Even with zayns most recent interviews he’s reflecting and speaking positively about the band.
Zayn saying he never really talked to Harry in the band belies what we saw on stage as Zayn seemed very into Harry and protective/touchy-feely.
1D historian is a lawyer, she certain has the ability to research and explain a situation allowing for human frailties. She’s also silly and hilarious with it.

I found it interesting and actually crazy that you used the word "Alienated" to decribe zayn at the time, you guys should react to zayn's live performance of his song "Alienated" lol you used that word to describe how zayn was feeling at the tine of all this and I think that song could make you guys hear some of how he was feeling in those lyrics

Can someone explain to me how Zayn insulted and lashed out at Harry when he literally said they didn't talk that much in the band? Thank God Ryan sir and Nathan sir for their sensible approach. As a new young audience to one direction and discovering their journey as a teenager in 2024 with Ryan sir and Nathan sir is so much fun, I am glad I found this channel recently!

Because it doesn't make sense because Harry said and showed the opposite thing. If someone says this talking about you, but you really care about this person you feel hurt. and btw what he said just broke the hearts of the fans. It doesn't matter that is the truth, it's disrespectful for the fans
@@chanelrosatitv7906 It does make sense because they were bandmates and as Zayn has mentioned recently they all were very close at one point and then things fallen apart but regardless they always supported one another. Harry never said he was super close to Zayn did he? They both took 7-8 yrs to take each other's name which exactly proves Zayn's statement. They might not be close but they didn't hated each other and still cared . This type of dynamic is so common. And though I am new to all this one thing which really drawn me towards Zayn is that he is really super honest and real , there's not an inch of pretense in him which is so refreshing in celeb world . So, I'm very sure his honesty will not always meet your expectations because you guys see what is sold to u on the other hand Zayn has experienced all this behind close doors without camera's on he knows the real faces. Ofcourse his feelings are true and valid since all the glitters are not gold.
That's not true at all. It was quite the opposite, actually. Harry made many shady remarks, saying the hardest part of Zayn leaving was the paperwork. He and Louis made fun of Zayn's tattoo, purposefully skipped his name, and called him "Zebra." They even stomped on Zayn's cutout during their show. Zayn saying they weren't close and didn't talk is nothing in comparison to all that and not malicious in any sense

Ryan the kind of artist you are describing that you like personality wise is actually ZAYN . He is very clear and vocal about his political views , he always supported his bandmates from everything although he was also in the same contract, he is honest to the core , to this day he has never badmouthed any of his bandmates ( I don't consider him saying I really don't speak to Harry that much as a hate especially when he replying to the question asked although there is no proof in which interview he said that ) . Was sabotaged by big music mafias, they tried to destroy his career completly especially there were articles how Simon Cowell wants to destroy Zayn after he left band till this day ZAYN gets no royalty for his part in one direction but never stopped making music Man you need to check his solo interviews he has done very few compare to other artists but worth watching. He literally never said he hated one direction music in the magazine interview if you read he said " one direction music is genric as eff* and he enjoyed it earlier but not as a 22 yrs old , he is an adult amd wanted to explore the music and experiment with the kind of different musical influences he have growing up including south asian music which he couldn't in one direction" and I think ot was fair enough! His autobiography gave so much insight to his side of story and Zayn wanted people to know he is utterly grateful for his good times and all the fame ,money that came because of being in the band but has his own reasons to move on from it "It didn't even felt concious decision when I left it was like my body didn't allow me to stay more". It was a bestseller in Newyork 2016 but I don't think alot of one direction fan who were angry at him had read it!
There is a TH-camr Max Beaumont he is communicating and personality coach like you guys he has analysed alot of one direction after analysing alot of videos he said I really feel bad for Zayn , you can tell he is clearly suffering from inside and he loves his bandmates wants to interact with them but always gets ignored and interviewers too always ignores him and never ask any questions . His analysis on Louis and Zayn video was spot on if u see it u will know.

I found it weird when she said Zayn betrayed his bandmates because of u look up to all of their solo interviews they admitted to knowing about hiatus and planning solo career, Harry even admitted in interview that he was the first one to bring hiatus back in 2013 there were rumours too that he was planning his solo career way before and band management was secretly helping him , even Zayn said his leaving statement was made by lawyer of the management and the band members knew he was leaving, because after leaving Zayn went straight to his home and the one direction page out our that statement not in his presence it wasn't from Z's account. So, they all obviously knew.If it was someone else they would have easily triggered by the video especially against Zayn because she literally skipped a lot of his part of the story even in call her daddy podcast Zayn talked fondly about one direction days and just after that part he said at one point they were very close he will always cherish the good times as he looks at it at much fondly than when he just left. And I am new to one direction myself I have actually been freshly digging these things from the past by watching various 1d related content by reactors like u, and og 1d stans.Plus reading and watching all of the members interviews. Zayn recently has healed from one direction days after 8-9 yrs and is much more comfortable talking about it fondly , he has said his 3 yrs old child has changed his perspective on life and u can feel it. On that same Call Her Daddy podcast last summer, he described meeting Harry for the first time and reminisced how they sat together during the first round of X-Factor tryouts. And then when Zayn was on Hot Ones about a month ago, he was asked about his worst technical difficulty while performing onstage and he responded with the incident when he had pulled Harry away to prevent him from being burned by the pyrotechnics. Zayn also talked about the band two other times during that Hot Ones interview so it really seems like he’s looking back at that time in the band with more fondness. Nathan, you had mentioned how Zayn was perhaps feeling alienated in the band and interestingly, “Alienated” is the title of his second single from his new album.

I think it's likely that management didn't protect Zayne enough from the hate he was dealing with. PR people didn't want to stir up any 'controversy' and expected him to just 'take it' Even his band mates didn't know the extent of it or weren't allowed to speak about it. All members of one direction signed a 'morals clause'. Harry said when he signed the contract for his solo career he cried when he realized he didn't have to sign a morals clause.
That’s why I’m a fan of 5SOS! The boys have supported each other putting out solo albums and individual projects, but have decided they their band will come 1st and continue making music together. No guilt. But, it’s true what you said. 5 SOS basically grew up together and started their own band! A very different dynamic then being put together on a show! Hate what 1D went through because of management though. 😢. ❤

Things she missed mostly what zayn said after:
-In 2014 almost all of zayn's songs were rejected to be put on the album. The reason being that they did not fit "the grain" of what one direction was.
-yes the boys may have been under very strict contracts but as everyone knows harry was publicized as a "sex symbol" at the mere age of 16. And whenever any interviewer or reporter have tried to slam that on him zayn has without taking a breath defended him. There are video proofs. Even other boys. Yes they might be restricted to speak on some topics but that never stopped him so it might be fare of him to expect the same to some level
-he said in an interview he was not allowed to keep a beard, cuz he looked older than the other boys and had to dress a certain way to fit his "character " in the band
-he did want to talk in interviews and be excited just like the other boys but was told to talk less so he could be the mysterious one.
-after he left and boys released drag me down, he congratulated them on tweeter and no one acknowledged that except Liam (atp the only one he was talking to)
-he said there were some pretty bad things said when he was leaving by the boys that he didn't expect.
-he never said 1d songs were shit but just generic pop which was not necessarily his type of music or something he would play if he went out with his gf , which is pretty clear from his solo career and he is now even appreciative of them
-he had no creative input in 1d and would be asked to sing a verse several times untill he sang it as they wanted him to
-zayn was the first to reach out to louis when his mother died.
-he also appreciated their song history in an interview after its release.
-harry asked for hiatus first in 2013 as admitted in an interview but was turned down by the others. It is assumed that only zayn agreed with him, causing a disagreement with the rest of the boys and it happened just before the imterview with the prince hair zayn clip.
-it is believed that louis and niall did not want the hiatus but harry insisted on it and that's the reason they had a fallout
-the racisn and islamophobia was to the point where posters were seen in 1d concerts calling him a terrorist, getting accused of the bombing at ariana's manchester concert, a song on spotify titled 'zayn did 9/11', accused of being a part of isis, being asked racist questions in interviews (like why he had a gun tattooed), being held back at airports for hours while the other boys just went through and many more. After leaving he wore a t shirt saying "I'm not a terrorist please don't arrest me".
-there is a rumored phone call that zayn made to harry at 2 am when he left the band which apparently involved a lot of crying.
I’m not to sure if this is 100% true but there is a big speculation that harry wrote “walking in the wind” about a 2 am call he had with zayn before he left the band. it is said that harry was the first one to know zayn was leaving as he had called him at 2 am in tears saying that he was going to leave. which if you listen to the lyrics of “walking in the wind” it does sorta make sense.
Theres also another rumour thats been around for a while saying that harry was actually the one begging management for a break but was denied over and over again. Theres an interview out there where they seemed uncomfortable which is rumoured have been recorded after an argument the boys had after harry had brought up the hiatus to them which was quickly shut down by the boys as they felt they were at their peak.

Zayn is on a PR trip so of course he will mention Harry as Harry has the widest PR scope. Zayn looked out for himself then and is doing so now.
I remember going to school the day after the announcement of Zayn leaving, and I was super sad and quiet all day so my friend suggested listening to 1D to cheer me up and I just burst into tears
That Facebook announcement she talked about wasn't written by Zayn he himself confirmed that himself. He opened up about not having control over anything in the band to the extent he developed an ED bc food was the only thing he could control

The boys were not allowed to talk on political items. Look at Louis friends some are Muslim. Zayn was out so he could say what he liked where as the boys still had their hands tied. At the end of the day, Zayne looked after Zayne because he thought he was better than everyone else. The boys had to follow the rules because of their contract.

You do have to keep in mind too, they are still under 1D contracts as far as we know. So I doubt we are even close to knowing the full story.
Louis had several reasons to be the most bitter (rational or not). They had been the close friends but also Louis wrote on the most 1D songs and heavily influenced their later sound. Plus he’d been trying to keep the band together and I’m sure did feel lied to, especially since from what we know he was the leader and the boys generally listened to him.
I do think you’re wrong (well about many things 😂) about them never getting back together. It maybe in a limited way and Zayn may not be there, but I predict like next five years.
It seems you might not know the history well. Naughty Boy was defending Zayn there; it wasn't for the fans. Liam posted on Instagram shading Zayn with a "new fifth member" comment, and Naughty Boy then posted that picture captioning it "replace this." Louis knew exactly what he was doing by jumping in, knowing those Mac filters were Zayn's thing.
And i will reiterate what ive said before. I believe they let the boys go on xfactor so that theyd be heartbroken and when they were given a 'second chance' together as a band, of course they all jumped at it. So Zayn took what he thought was his only chance to build a music career.

Those few things she showed were not the full scale of Harry/Zayn interactions - they 100% clearly talked, whispered, shared water, touches, laughs, secrets, looks - this statement has to be like you said something said to get the interviewer off his back or to ditract from their closeness. There is also an article where Zayn called Harry his rock as well as that he called Harry at 2am and told him he was leaving before it came out. Lots and lots of evidence that that statement was complete bullshit

People seem to have forgotten that Fandom is for the fans. It's our little community, we understand each other's language, when we agree on a topic or when we disagree on a topic.
But when mainstream media or anyone outside of the Fandom try to extract certain instances out of that bubble, it loses all the context attached to it and frankly looks stupid/petty or strange. It's unfair on fans and disrespectful.

Yeah... He said "He never really spoke to harry" but he also said "I didn't made a true friend in the band". it's ok for Harry (even if it is not because they seem very close) but for the others?? That was gross, because for sure the boys loved him (or at least and Liam did it and Harry too, they suffered when he left). So it is not an excuse that they were Just bandmate or we don't live with them ecc... especially because you are breaking the heart of all your fans (I honestly prefer to live in a lie instead of know that 5 ppl I thought were brothers weren't really friends and faked to be brothers for 5 years. The part where she said 1D fans didn't know about the racism and Islamophobia Zayn faced is irksome because Bill Maher compared him to the Boston bomber on national television! He was getting death threats from tabloids for saying "Free Palestine" in 2014. There's no way you missed all that. Also this woman never read his book because he didn't say nobody defended him he talked about his own experience without dragging anyone
