after playing 400+ 1v1 games on the app (basic and prelude), I can say that Mining guild, Point luna, and Saturn systems are the top 3. My personal favorite is United Nations Mars Initiative though. Mining G. gives you so much steel that you end up buying buildings for "free" and that snowballs your economy. Point luna gets you so much card draw which gives you flexibility in your strategy, and card draw is king in this game. Saturn systems enable you to go for the most common strategy, which is the Jovian points strategy, additionally, it kind of prevents your opponent to go for that strategy.
Fun list. I tend to struggle with Ecoline. I tend to like a building or space strategy, so Mining Guild and Phobolog are fun for me. I also like the one that gives you a Colony to start the game.
I always choose Poseidon unless: I spot a nice/fun combo or if the colonies look weak. If I had to pick the "strongest" corp it would be Manutech. Only starts with 35 MC and a steel but with the right cards/preludes it can still get strong gen 1.
re: the STEAM game I bought the Prelude expansion DLC. At first I was able to get the Prelude corporations as options at the start, then they went away, then they came back, without me doing anything. But after the latest update they NEVER show up. Any ideas on how to fix this? I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game.
Disagree with no 9. I dislike Interplanetary cinematics because it’s starting steel has nothing to do with its passive ability to get money by playing events. To the best of my knowledge there are NO event cards with building tags. It just seems weak.
I played Tom's #2 corp last night and got 5/5. I am horrible at this game. I don't hate playing every once in a while but I always feel like I don't know what to do.
No Saturn Systems? Tharsis? Credicor? Point Luna? Vitor? Cheung-Shin? They are all better that several mentioned. Recyclon is superduperweak, you need to play 3 building tags to get 1 plant production
To anyone watching this video, this is a list of CORPs that tom enjoys playing with, not corps that are flexible and easy to make work with your starting hand. Of the corps he likes, I would say valley trust would be the most flexible and I have used it quite a bit.
How are they too op? If you play Ecoline, there is a high chance that you will become the target of multiple meteors and thus losing a lot of plants (unless you also have Protected Habitats, then Ecoline IS op). And as for Helios: I cannot remember a single time that corporation won in one of the games I played with my friends (mostly 4 player games). On the other hand, Teractor and Credicor have both proven to be very strong, especially Credicor since its bonus applies to both project cards AND standard productions.
Not OP at all, decent corps. Any corp can look OP if you get the right cards. IMO these corps are not as easy to make work with your starting hand as others, Helion requires you have to have a lot of heat production, and generally going for a heat strategy is not as efficient as say Jovians or Science or Space strategy, and heat cards are underwhelming IMO. Ecoline requires you to get some good plant production out and you will be a target of asteroids as well.
That video looks like the top 10 worst corporations in TM except for 1st place :) Missing huge favorites like Poseidon, Saturn Systems, Lakefronts Resorts, Teractor and Credicor.
Yeah, pretty much. Tom's preferences are very out of whack with what is good - probably no surprise he never wins. But as long as he has fun with them, it's all good. Gotta disagree with you on Teractor a bit though (and Credicor honestly), at least with all expansions. Card mix a bit too diluted for the ability to be that useful, but the high starting money is great.

Now i only play with prelude so i cant include other corps but id say the top tier ones are some order of Tharsis, Saturn, Vitor and Point Luna. These corps work no matter what youre starting hand consists of. Next in the fairly good category id say Cheung shing, Robinson, credicor, and UNMI. Everything else is HIGHLY starting hand dependant to be good or in some cases flat out bad
Credicor also does not really depend on your starting hand (although it is certainly positive if you do have a couple of 20+ cost cards), since its bonus also applies to both standard project cities and forests.

Out of the ones mentioned Helion is my favorite. I also love Saturn Systems, collecting those shiny jovian tags is so great.

Inventrix's science tag is also great, as cards with sience tag requesites often have strong effects at a low cost.

All the Titanium corps and the heat thingy are my faves.
I have no idea why since they're all just numbers with different pictures, but I love heat generation in the game. So, Helion all the way as my #1.
Btw, Helion is my favorite corp, in this and Ares.
