Also, it's nice to hear a story of good parents who did the right thing for their daughter for once. Emily, I'm glad you're still with us.
😍
👋 Hi! I remember you from the live stream. Have a great day!
Flickerfade you are the sweetest
This was very informative Emily stay well
I could listen to Emily for hours she has so much knowledge.
I agree!
I'm not good at taking compliments! Thank you ladies!
I am a dsp nurse in Illinois if it weren't for people like her we can catch everything my case load is supposed to be 15 dependents I have 42 senior and minor clients. So if you see something say something.
Great talk girls. My elderly mother was misdiagnosed with Parkinson’s for 8 years but I was not convinced that she had it, after finding her another Neurologist she was finally diagnosed with ‘Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus’ she walked into surgery very wobbly, a shunt was put in her brain and she walked out after surgery as good as new. Love your talks Amanda you are such a strong woman.
Belle, I'm so glad she was properly diagnosed eventually and was able to get help.
I learned in neuro lecture that the defining characteristic between Parkinson’s, dementia, and NPH was that NPH had bladder issues. Incontinence, I believe. Nocturnal maybe? I don’t remember exactly but it was a bladder issue that set NPH apart from the others. How that was missed is beyond me because I only had a brief lecture on this condition for my PTA program, but I would expect a neurologist to know better.
Oh wow, I remember Emily from a video she did with Kollene years ago, when I first started learning about this group. They were singing memory gems (I think?) and talking about Emily's experiences with racism and her health problems in the group. I've always remembered her for how engaging she was, and for how courageously she talked about the harm the Order does to families.
I'm glad to see that she's doing okay, and to hear her tell her story in her own words. Thank you, Amanda, for creating a platform for these stories to be told. And thank you, Emily, for being so candid and for sharing your experiences! I'm sure it isn't easy to do, but it's so important.
Thank you!
23:26 my grandma got diagnosed with breast cancer and they told her to go on chemo instantly but she took one of her sisters in law to the doctors office with her who had cancer in the breast but it had been gone for years and the sister-in-law dragged it out of the doctor the cancer was so slow growing that she could theoretically live her entire life and not have to worry about it but she’s on estrogen blockers because she got too much estrogen
@Amanda Rae- Please have a follow up with this cousin! She has so much to say and so much that can be brought to light. How blessed she is to have the parents and siblings she has! Those sisters going to her mom in the morning about her throwing up during the night surely saved her life when she was 7! Having the parents she has further brought the help she needed!
Darcie, you are absolutely correct! I would not be here today without the family I have.
@@emilytucker4119 I don't doubt it can be difficult to speak about what you have gone thru. I am thankful you had parents with the wisdom to act with discernment and follow what they knew they had to do. It gave you the blessing of life, along with you & your siblings the example of having faith AND taking action as well. Be blessed!
I really enjoyed Emily's energy. I feel like we would be friends in another life. 🥰
Omg, the ignorance of these people all putting a little kid with cancer on a 30 day fast would do is make them so weak they couldn't possibly fight the cancer! Thank God Emily's parents were smart enough not to listen to that insanity!
Emily you are an amazing woman to tell your story. I'm glad that your parents didn't even go to the leaders and really did care about you and your health to get you the help you needed. I'm glad that you are still here with us! And Amanda thank you for having Emily on your channel to tell her story in the order. Both you ladies are so beautiful and strong!
I would like to see more talks with Emily. This was very interesting and she seems very knowledgeable on many subjects.
Amanda, you do such a good job interviewing others. Emily had so much information to tell, and this was an informative video on so many levels.
I like that Amanda lets the guests talk, and goes with the flow of the conversation.
I feel like your sit downs with other people that were raised in the order are so informative, because other people have so many different experiences and a lot of the same, but just so much insight and different perspectives and experiences. It’s so crazy to hear all the different stories. I just cannot believe this so goes on all over the world. Makes me see everything so differently. Thanks for sharing. 💗
I was born with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus, both of which being birth defects, and I had to be shunted at 1 week old. (This was back in 1997 and neither of the in utero surgeries had been invented yet.
It scares me thinking about what could've happened had her mom not taken her to the hospital. I've had to have emergency surgery when my shunt malfunctioned to the extreme and LITERALLY killed me! I'm so, SO glad her mom took action and she was treated in time!
Omg! Emily has so much character! She was so great to listen too!!
Extra respect for anyone who has the bravery and courage to leave such a horrible religious cult. Good for you and good luck with your future endeavors. Applause 👏 ✌ 👏 ✌
My brother is medulloblastoma survivor and he still has his shunt in his brain. When he was two years old they found a massive tumor in his brain after multiple trips to the hospital and the doctors were assuming my parents were paranoid first time parents and at some point my brother couldn’t walk anymore and my dad was pissed and demanded a scan done. My brother didn’t make it even halfway through the scan before they found the tumor. He had so much fluid built up that when they drained it it just poured out rather than trickling out. He had to be put back in diapers and put on a dose of chemotherapy that would kill a grown man. He also had to do radiation to the face. This tumor was so large that it went down his spine and he was one of the youngest children to survive a tumor that large. It took Almost two years to beat and he also almost died on the operating table. His last chemo treatment was about two days after I was born. He is now 31 years old, cancer free but his growth was affected, he has seizures and he has a traumatic brain injury due to the tumor so he can’t live on his own. He is alive and one of the toughest people I know.
Your brother sounds amazing 👏 😍
You guys vibe so well I would love for you to do more interviews with her. You both are so intelligent and inquisitive, I really enjoyed this one!
Thanks for your story, Emily! My son had his shunt placed at three months old and I have seen what he has gone through. You are amazingly brave and also just delightful to listen to.
SoniaPB7, thank you so much! How old is your son now?
When my father was a child in the 1950s, there was no treatment for hydrocephalus, and Dad remembers passing a house that had a little boy with a giant head who always used to sit out and wave to him, and one day, he just wasn't there anymore, and Dad wished he had gone up to talk to him.
Hydrocephalus here too. Loved hearing from you, Emily! ❤️
You do??? I'm so glad I did this video!! 😍 thank you so much for commenting!
How are you doing?
@@emilytucker4119 yes ma’am! Frequent brain surgery flier here :) It is always the best to see a surgery sister sharing her story!
@@emilytucker4119 your story is incredible. Thank god for our mothers fighting for us, so important. Mine still fights for me at 33. I finally got working shunts after like 40 surgeries and then my lp shunt (I have a vp and an lp shunt currently) caused a chiari malformation so now trying to navigate that! How are you doing?
I am too! Though I've gone 17 years without a brain surgery! It's my record! Thank you for saying something!
My mom (61) was diagnosed with hydrocephalus at 8 months old. She had her first brain surgery to install a shunt at 8 months old and has had countless more surgeries to replace/ move/ upgrade shunts ever since. The doctors at the time told my grandparents that my mom would never be able to have children because of hydrocephalus 🙄 my sister is 29 and I am 35 😂
the reason you need to gradually reintroduce foods is due to something called " refeeding syndrome" which is essentially an electrolyte shift in your body after a period of no nutrition. People in the concentration camps would develop this when well intended GI's ( who had no medical training) saw them starving and fed them, and yes this is fatal.
Yes when the British went into Belsen, hundreds of people died in a few weeks because all they had to feed them was soldier's rations which are obviously very rich. They had to bring in a famine expert to design diet plans to help them. Obviously not done intentionally
Yes, my great gpa was one of the American soldiers who came across a camp and fed the ppl there resulting in their death. He had nightmares over it atleast once a week for the next 70 years... He was convinced he murdered them by giving them food, he just didn't know it would result in shock & death. He just saw extremely starved, hungry people and wanted to feed them... he was born in 1917 so he went thru the depression as a kid and knew how hungry, real hunger, felt and knew the torture it is and thus wanted to ensure no one else ever felt it. If hed only known what it would do... he and my great gma both lived thru the depression, my gmas baby brother started having seizures from low blood sugar and so she and her other siblings had to go raid BIRDS NESTS to try and find eggs for him to eat. They cracked probably 100 eggs & all but 2 had baby birds in them but they got 2 robins eggs to go home and feed to theur brother and he thankfully survived. It tore her up until the day she died that she killed 98 baby birds and so she carried bird seed with her 24/7 to feed every bird she saw. She was also so terrified of being hungry again that she hoarded food, specifically frozen meat and can goods. She was determined to never starve again. My gpa always kept a luscious, beautiful garden with every veggies/fruit imaginable. I wish id been a little bit older, they passed away when i was 13, so that he could have taught me everything he knew about gardening because its not easy haha nothing better than home grown tomatoes but ive never once grown a single mater in my 34 yrs despite how hard i try every year 😅 😂🤣 im opposite off a green thumb.
Thank you so much Emily and Amanda for bringing awareness to Hydrocephalus. Sadly, my cousin passed away from hydrocephalus when she was only 22. She had the best most brilliant, radiant smile and a laugh that made anybody start laughing too. It was sudden and unexpected. She was the kindest soul I have ever known. And so beautiful. Every time I watch your videos I connect and cry and process some other part of my life in such a healthy, safe way. You talk about REAL emotions REAL trauma, things we can't or won't normally be able to talk about or process. Love you girls
Stacy, your comment made me cry 😢

More videos with Emily please ladies! This was so interesting and I would love to hear the other stories you both mentioned, such a great video! Thank you both!
Hey beautiful ladies, I'm glad that your posting a new video today. I love how versatile each episode is.
Please do more videos with Emily. She is so knowledgable and I really want you guys to find out more about these subjects. Like Emily said, we want to know how people in the order died. Who/what contributed to them losing their lives.
Thank you ladies
Thank you Emily for sharing your story. I am very happy that your parents got you the medical treatment you needed and left this cult.
What a wonderful interview!!! Amanda you have found your calling! You do such a good job helping others Tell there story. What a blessing Emily had such great parents!!
I had cervical cancer that was diagnosed when I was 19 years old. It likely developed from HPV. i am appalled that they do not acknowledge STIs and HPV. I wish so bad I would have been more educated about it and vaccinated against it. My ability to bear children was taken away at 23 years old when I was amidst a divorce from my high school sweetheart. This chain of events negatively impacted my life in more ways than I can count. I’m so disgusted that something so preventable is simply being ignored by a massive amount of people who DEFINITELY are aware of it.
Thank you, Amanda and Emily, for doing your part to spread awareness about the many topics you covered in this video. Truly, I thank you.
Kmack, I am so sorry for what you've gone through. 💔 Thank you for the kind words. 💙
I am sorry you have had cancer and a rough patch in I hope a long life filled with joy. Yes we need more education in STDs. I thought schools were doing a better job of teaching sex education. I know my school taught us about STDs in the early 80s then Aids hit and reinforced condom use. I don't agree with the HPV vaccine being standard use for everyone. The risks are too high for young girls. HPV vaccines have caused young girls to be sterile before they are old enough for sex. Instead we need to teach young people to use condoms every time and wait until they are older to engage in sex. Being honest and learning about your own body is important. Cancer can be caused by many things. I am truly sorry for your loss .
@@snpr7749 that is false information. The HPV vaccine does not cause sterility in young girls. Please don't spread misinformation in connection to this video.
@@emilytucker4119 it does in a certain %. It is written in the paperwork they give parents before the vaccine. A vaccine that has serious side effects. Sexually active females need a pap smear every year to check for cancer. Cancer is caused by so many factors. I don't want to take unnecessary risk. And most females might want to have kids in the future. And we are supposed to use condoms because there are worse things then HPV. I also don't think it's healthy to start sex early. It is nice to know who you are and who you want to be before adding sex. At what age was sex healthy ? If you are not mature enough to demand a condom then not ready for sex. Sex has some serious side effects aka STD.
Amanda these are my favorite videos your sit down videos with other people you're so good at interviewing and I love hearing others stories.
I had Hydrocephalus from when I was born with a disability. I had a shunt placed when I was born and then had to replace that a few years later. I still have the second one. I am now 50 yrs old.
How long has your second shunt lasted?? That's amazing! How do you feel?
@@emilytucker4119 like I said I'm 50 so second one was probably put in around end of 71' or 72' so about 49 to 50 years. I'm doing fine (knock on wood).
@@celesterial2010 that is such great news! 🥰

This was SO intriguing! Emily you are an angel and I'm so happy you shared your story with Amanda & her channel!💝
The STD segment is really interesting!
for someone that has hydrocephalus; wow i am blown away! your amazing! ❤️❤️❤️
Anne, I am incredibly lucky. I'm shocked so many even know about Hydrocephalus! It makes me sad and happy at the same time.
My momma had hydrocephalus too and it was a hell of a time for me because she suddenly started acting like a grannie out of the blue and I thought I was losing her for no reason to the point where she needed a cane to walk. Thankfully, we discovered what it was JUST on time and she got surgery 7 years ago on Christmas eve. The next morning I had the best Christmas gift I´ve ever had, my mom was healthy and alive again. I´m not gonna lie, she still has a few sequels left, but nothing too bad. About her shunt, it has been well so far, I pray for it (and will pray for Emily´s too) to stay like that forever because IDK if it´s necessary for us to go through the same again. Sending lots of love and health to everyone on here♡ ♥💕❤♡ ♥💕❤♡ ♥💕❤
Embeth, I'm SO glad your mom got help! I don't have a shunt right now. I'm living with the third ventriculostomy right now and have four the last 17 years! I have a headache that's about 18 years old and I do have a lot of issues with short term memory. I find the positive though! I get to rewatch movies and reread books for the first time, ALL THE TIME. I'm doing better than I ever have, but I also know it won't necessarily last, but I'm living it up while I can!
@@emilytucker4119 Thank you for reading my comment! That really sucks but I hope they will keep researching and finding new solutions for hydrocephalus, what a complicated issue. I appreciate a lot that you are giving awareness about it!!

So glad to hear a happier ending for an order member. Thanks so much for sharing!!
Thank you for sharing! You all are so strong and im so happy your both out. I'll never be able to understand how these cults are still legally happening. Great job spreading information, knowledge is power and you're doing great Amanda!
My guess is because the separation of religion and state. It's a tight rope to walk on.
Having a religion can't be illegal, you'll never stomp religion out and will create more problems trying. The actions the cult takes that are illegal are still illegal, it's just that they aren't getting caught. They can be prosecuted for illegal actions, if it's brought to light. Giving your money to an asshole isn't illegal, stupid, but not illegal, I mean how would we stop people from being morons with their money?
Excellent video. I found it so interesting. I even stopped to Google lye quickly!
What an amazing soul Emily is. Would love to hear more.

One question I have is why haven’t the top guys been arrested? Or the people organizing the “bank”.
Rachel, this is Emily. Attorney General Sean Reyes has enough evidence to put Paul, Daniel, and a few of their other brothers, away for the rest of their lives. However, Reyes has accepted tens of thousands of dollars worth of "gifts" from the Kingston men.
Mark Shurttleff and John Swallows also had that information and also accepted "gifts" from the Kingstons.
My parents handed Mark Shurtleff evidence showing underage marriages, incestuous marriages, and even their "bank" statements.
We need to humiliate them into doing something.
Wow that is ridiculous! I knew there had to be shady stuff happening behind the scenes since that is how this whole cult operates.
I wish there was a way we could all help!
Rachel, you watching this and talking about it and sharing it with people you know, will help.
@@emilytucker4119 Emily, couldn't you put this evidence on social media (or some anonymous person) and have it go viral, pressure the courts? I get the CP, can't be put up, but surely other evidence? Start an online revolution?
The problem is, the Kingstons have millions of dollars and they have sent some of their sons to law school. So they have access to lawyers (not that they're good lawyers), but they LOVE to hit people with a whole bunch of frivolous lawsuits. Most people can't afford to keep fighting them.
I have hydrocephalus so this is a really interesting perspective for me to learn, beings I'm not from that walk of life
You're a hydro warrior too??? Hugs!! Are you stable?

Great talk. It’s nice to hear about another person with hydrocephalus. I was born with it. They did not know I had it until after I was born naturally
God Bless you both!
This was such an amazing interview! Thank you for sharing Emily with us ❤️
Gosh every single person you talk to is just so amazing and we'll spoken and kind, it's so awesome to see everyone who made it out.
I was born with a septum dividing my uterus, cervix, and vagina (so it looked like I had 2 of each, which is another condition, mine was just a septum splitting everything into 2).
I found out after almost bleeding to death after sex, had surgery to remove it, but they left the portion in my cervix so when I got pregnant my body would still form a mucus plug.
Anyway, I have to have csections because a divider in my cervix wouldn't allow me to deliver naturally
I just keep thinking someone like me with this condition would have died in the order, possibly during child birth.
It's a whole other giant conversation that those who are different surly don't seem to get accomodations made easily, if at all.
Thanks for all you do and spreading awareness💜💜💜💜💜

I love how intelligent these women are. I realize intelligence and education are not synonymous. But we have women who are healed back from birth, yet when they get away, the first thing they seem to do it become educated. I am impressed.
Sending well wishes to Emily. It’s crazy how most of us that get out of a cult just kinda stop believing in many or all parts of religion
When you apply the same logic to other religions that it took to leave the cult you're in, it's hard to buy into any of the other religions.
First, I am a huge fan of Escaping Polygamy! I was born with a birth defect called Spina Bifida. It is a defect of the spinal cord and, for me, means i am unable to walk. I was also born with Hydrocephalus and have had two shunts in my life. I got the first one shortly after I was born and the second one around the same age Emily was when she got hers. As she was telling her story of getting sick in the compost heap, I recognized those symptoms. I am now 41 years old and married and haven't had any more problems with my shunt so far.
Some childhood epilepsy is treated with a strict keto diet. Maybe that was where the no-sugar thing came in, but it is so much more than that.
Sam & Melissa just posted. Can’t watch them before I watch you!
Very interesting chat!
Such a great video! Thanks to Emily for sharing with us! Amanda your interviews are 10/10.
I am curious to know Emily’s thoughts on comfrey and if it she believes it had any impact on her tumor growth.
The comfrey had no noticeable impact on my tumor. I hate comfrey lol.
Thank you for sharing your stories with us! Do you think the order does not like medical doctors, or are untrusting of them because healthcare providers are mandatory reporters… so they would have to report any abuse seen on children or wives?
That is one reason they definitely fear Healthcare. I think it's that AND a way to control. They teach that anything can be fixed if you fast and pray and believe. So, if the problem doesn't get fixed or go away, the parents (usually the mom) isn't faithful enough to have her child fixed or cured.
Ya I’m the first comment!!! Yahoo! Love your stories Amanda!
Wow, you guys are amazing!
Wow, comfrey should not be taken internally very long. That's insane they took it daily!
Emily, by Oder standards your parents are truly rock star’s ⭐️⭐️
Thank you both for sharing all your life stories.
I have read that comfrey containes pyrrolizidine alkaloids which can cause cancer (research on that can be found) and I am wondering if that is the reason for the high cancer rate in the order you were talking about.
Hope you both are doing well and wish you all the best.
Any chance we could get product with a drawing of a smiling Emily saying 🎶I kneeeeew🎵 because that seems evergreen.
I would also enjoy the two of you pointing at each other and the text 🎶if the order doesn’t have it, you don’t need it🎵
Comfrey is amazing for so many things, used in moderation, even internally. Ibuprofen can destroy your liver as bad or worse if taken to regular. Moderation is always the key!
These fasts are insane !!
