Try not to pull through the water box with full size fronts. That takes water to the start with you, pull around and back the rears into it, pull out and do your clean up.
5ohwitha5oh *
This works only if the fucker spraying the water box doesn’t hose the whole damn lane down lol
@@Oreo_5oh right that's SO annoying
He also didn't line up in the groove. Look at his car vs the groove is. He spent most of the run at the edge of the prep.
Your were to far left out of the groove bro. From the first run seemed to have cones up to guide you in the groove. That makes a big difference. That we're most rubber gets put down and it's sticker.
Whats your wheel and tire setup?
Looked like you weren't in the groove. .good job anyway 10s will come
Mike Norton
I’m thinking if he ports his manifold and does a little interior weight reduction he will get there no problems.
Hey your previous best was a 12.2. Shaving over half a second off your time is a big deal.
That trap speed says your good for maybe an 11.3-11.4 with a better 60'. Going to need more mods for 10's but she's definitely getting there! 40 more horses and a drag pack and you'll be there!
Honestly, I would be super happy with 11.6! lol It's insane that with just a few bolt on's the Mustang can get there when cars like lets say the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera which costs $215k does it in 11.7! :-)
11.6 @ 120 is a solid start. Good luck on your trip to the 10s.
0.2 off a hellcat
Good runs! 11.6 is solid! Try airing down to 15 16 lbs and catch that groove a bit better and you'll gain a 10th or two. The real difference will come with a drag wheel set up. I dropped over half a sec just putting bigs and littles on my 13.
I need a drag pack
@@Zander13Productions yessir
thats impressive MPH.. its really making power up top... the 1.79 is really a 1.8.. get it down to low 1.7s and you will really be flying.. low to mid 11s will be the norm.. excellent runs and she is really picking up.. improvement is improvement right?
I love the digital dashboard but only roush and or bullets come with them right? I’m buying a metallic grey with black accent package stock mustang but I’ll be be doing mods but hat dashboard can you get aftermarket or is it only for bullets and or roushes or....
All GTs can have it so long as you have the 401a package
Zander13 what is the 401a packag
Don't be disappointed with 11.6s, Zander. As you said, you're learning the car. Carnage has the power. The 10s will come!
💪💪💪
What did your friend run on the 100 shot nos
Not sure. I had to leave. He posted a video though
11.4 with a 1.6 60ft. ... That's a nice time for the first day of the year. 👍
Mustang860 it was a 1.79
@@justa5oh136 yea, and if he gets a 1.6 he should run 11.4 👍 ^^
Unplug the traction control/abs conector by the CAI and hang on. You’ll loose line lock but just use both feet for the burnout.
Looking good so far getting to know the car you are headed in the right direction my friend keep up the good work
What impact gun do you use?. Looking into getting one not sure which one works good
The Lowe’s brand. I love it
I'm glad you got down the track without getting out of shape. Keep trying Zander, you'll get there.
🙏❤️❤️❤️
Failure breeds success ! Keep grinding you’ll improve over time ... really enjoyed the vlog
Thanks
He will get faster and faster till it gets hot then will be faster in fall....not a bad start off point....it went straight hehe ;)
Was looking forward to this vid Zander. Wish tracks were open here in Clevlend, but have another six weeks😣. I'm hoping I can learn what works with your build and apply it on my 2018 GT. Maybe we can learn from each other. 11.6 not bad at all. Definitely two, maybe three more tenths left. My 2018 ran 11.7 at 119 in 4000+ DA . My only mods are CAI, resonator delete, Lund E85 tune, and drag pack. NO suspension mods. My 60 foot with the 11.7 et was 1.78, about the same as yours. This is where we both need work. Here are some pointers/suggestions. They are worth exactly the price you paid for them.
1. Stay in the groove
2. Foot brake the car to 2000 rpm
3. I assume you are using drag mode. If not, this is a must.
4. My MT street SS dr's only need a cleaning per MT, not sure about the Nittos.
5. I run a 17 inch 305 DR. Has more side wall and works best with about 18psi. I don't spin at all.
6. I have Race Stars all the way around. Yes they are cheap, but very light.
7. BMR told me the main suspension mods to start with is the CB005R and BK081 lower control arm bearing kit. I have both of these installed now and will let you know how they work.
8. Get an ethanol content tester to find the gas station with the highest %.
We both need to get 60' times in the high 1.6's to see low 11's all else being equal. Hope this helps. Until next time.....
Both times it def looks like you lined up outside the grooves almost on purpose. You'd for sure gain back time and speed by lining up in there. You can see the power increase is working though by your trap speed
What happened to the new grill?
What did the white mustang run
When will you get new wheels and put drag radials on the rear
Why are you thinking 10's? You'll never hit 10's with those mods silly. Unless you use a trans brake with a giant launch which would need half shafts and a fully upgraded rear end so it doesn't snap
Yep. And we may do that
@@Zander13Productions Well, I guess technically you where right then! Good luck man, love the build.
Capt Obvious here, the motor is running the dyno numbers but the suspension and tires are only running stock numbers. Stock power with suspension, tires and minimal weight reduction can run low 11s.
Great start of the season it will get better congrats 👍🤩😎❤️✅
That's pretty good. For hardly nothing done. No motor work at all. Some bolt ons. Exhaust. And e85 tune. 11.6 that's awesome.. I remember in the 90s when 11.6 wasn't so easy to get from a street car. U had to really build it.
Here’s my criticism, take it or leave it.
Good for consistent 11.22’s on your mods.
You WILL not spin NT05R’s with that power with the correct psi and any track prep.
Those tires can run a low PSI 15-18 but in that case, will require ALOT of heat to stick. (And will raise the PSI some due to the air expansion during the burnout)
FYI line lock will stop working if you keep revving that high in your burnout. Feather between 5-6500RPM
Stay in the racing groove
Don’t load the converter all the way until the last second you were killing your clutch and not launching at peak RPM.
Be Safe.
11.6@120 isnt awful by any stretch, a great improvement over your previous 12.2 What rpms are you launching? As othere have stated drive around water box and stay in the groove. You were so far left I got nervous for you.
foot break at 2000rpm
Keep it up, you will be there before you know it! 10’s
Nice to see it stayed straight this time. With a stickier tire out back you should be able to cut a 1.6 60 foot and hook on the 1-2 shift. This will widdle that et down closer to 10s. Kudos for keeping your interior intact.
I'm doing the CB005+762+polyurethane vertical links, hopefully this will get my car to hook. Running Nitto 555 G2 285 tires in the back. I think these tires must requires some serious break in because they just want to make me go sideways.
Excellent combo
good vid bro . why were you so far left of the grove ? could be why your slipping
Sorry I'm just seeing these videos now, were moving and haven't had time to keep up. Are you planning at all to Road Course your car or staying drag strip? I think im gonna go the Course route and see how she does. what do you think?
Not sure yet. I kinda want best of both worlds if possible. No worries on videos. I hope the move goes well
Thanks Man,just trying to get a nice place with a big garage so i got room to lift my cars up and make em louder and faster. Keep up the great vids!
that a boy Zander. As long as your having fun man, thats all that matters. At least you can actually hit the track this time a year LoL. My local track is buried under couple feet of snow at least haha ;-P
Oh no. Can’t wait for spring time
Learning the car and im interested in seeing the progression. Its not as easy as it looks when the car seems to do different things on different days. Keep grinding!!!!!
Excellent numbers and information gathered to hit 10’s this season!!!
Get a 17” wheel with drag radials to really help bring down the times! You need more sidewall to help transfer the power!
Honestly I don’t think 500 horse power was going to get you in the tens
Redeye Knight gen 1 coyote have done it with less. He needs more suspension and weight reduction
I saw a few vids of stock 18 mustangs hitting around mid to high 10s to be honest
@@whos5.0 no you didn't. 11.9 stock 10 speed with perfect track at zero elevation.
Who’s Man74 I have owned too late model mustangs one was a Roush With the 6 speed manual. In 2018 performance pack one Mustang GT premium neither one of them would’ve gotten close to the 10 second mark I never actually drag race them but I don’t think they were even close to being that fasr
neverendingmods lmao you can’t tell me what I did and didn’t watch 😂💀
Was this intake ported?
Do you have any suspension work done to help you get out of the hole faster?
I think he says it in the video....
Dragging your front tires through the water box and lined up out of the "groove". Drag racing 101
The old school cars with no gimmicks teaching the new cars a lesson.
Oh yes
I feel pretty good still with my 11.5@ 123 on stock headers, stock tires, and stock suspension.
It does seem like Zanders car has always been a tenth or so off, thought it was his trans last year not sure how that is doing this year wish he would comment....but yours seems a bit hot and stangmode too...even the American Muscle guy got a hot one....Zanders ( zero fault of his own ) seems to have always been just a bit slower for some reason....he is a normal size guy not fat like me...Stangmode has to weigh more....not sure....
Didn't American Muscle guy end up at 11.6 on all seasons and e85 tune only? First time out? I know my car wouldn't do that even with a 100lb driver...
Next time out.try to paddle shift about 6500
Wont shift hard and spin the tires
Roommate has the same car
I THINK 7800 IS OVER REVING IT.HE HAS SAME TUNE
PBD
the car makes peak power around 7000 i would shift around 7200-7500 depending if it falls off or just plateaus
Yea his 3.55s might like that better depending on tire diameter...but my 3.15s would probably like a little more for recovery depending on which gear...I'm used to tuning shift per gear once your in the tighter splits recovery is good on the a10 anyway.....he knows his peak he just had it on the dyno....
Look on a palm beach dyno sheet on a 18 or 19
Peak comes in at about 56_5800 and then flat lines all the way over to 7800.then they shift they only loose about 700 rpms.
@@terryjones1899 sure but he has one he just did in a previous video just before this outing...he should know how peak...factory mine shifts at 74xx in drag mode....variations down to 6800 depending on mode.....
It's a fickle thing sometimes the car as rolling likes to be short shifted even if it's not( with old gear splits and stall data 500 over peak torque )...my BBC even dead hooked 1.37-1.44 60ft footbraking a 3800 stall...didn't give 2 shits about the 1 to 2....5500rpm or 7000 ( peaked around 6400) BUT 2 to 3 when it went 1 to 1 ratio.....yea that could be literally a 3 plus tenth change...LOL.....
I suspect his logs and incremental need studied vs his recent dyno sheets and a revised tune from Palm Beach would yield results? Usually we have to say generic this or that but the whole reason of going to a dyno and then track is to Male more precise decisions?
He got this I don't count the last outing and he only got 2 passes....he will get faster and faster naturally as he settles in and seat time....then tune revisions ect...
I'm going to enjoy all the data I just wish he would comment on that 5th gear issue he had I don't feel like we as fans ever got resolution on that....OR I'm an obsessor LOL.....I think #Zander13 knows the answer to that one LOL
I run the same size drag radial 16 psi when burn out down Will heat pressure the tyres 2 18psi.
Yep. Next time I will try 16-17
Great Job! Getting better every time...
I just noticed that the design of the front end of the Mustang makes it look like the car has an evil grin on it's face. lol
you need to drop the tire pressure down to 15psi and heat them up good i got a 1.60 60 foot with those tires
Great vid... Did you change your hood vents back ???
Yes
What windshield phone mount?
It’s made by fat gecko on amazon
@@Zander13Productions Awesome and thanks for the quick reply!
Absolutely
Drive around water box, back in & spin it then pull out of box do not in water & then do burn out.
Do you have sensors in your drag tires bro?
no
Why you put back the stock bents on the hood??
You will see in the video Wednesday or Thursday. Big change
Why you screaming at me? I've run a 1.5 sixty with 16psi in Nitto drag radials before. Looks like you rolled through the water too which could be the reason for the shift spin. The car is consistent though, you should bracket race it...could make some money.
Zander 13; Hey it was nice to not see you slide on the track , must have felt better to you as well. You said you was spinning tires with the shift. Give the track more time to get some rubber laid down and you should do better. I've had an issue with my car and just got it taken care of today . In a couple of weeks I should be able to get to Beach Bend , too many things going on lately . Thanks for the video , I enjoyed it . BULLITT 40
Did you data log the runs? I'd be curious to see if there was any knock. The mph seems a little low to me. I would have guessed 124+ with the mods you have. drag wheels should net you a bit as well. good luck on your goal!
I thought it was low too but honestly his car ( zero knock on Zander ) has always seemed a touch slow compared to the same stages say in stangmode, I wonder if it's still the trans? I mean the first video I ever watched of these gen3 a10s , was stangmode barking tires on literally like at least the first 3 to 4 shifts I was like good God he is half track and still barking tires on the shift 10r80 is a monster....Zander had trouble out of his trans immediately and it was never revealed why...I just wonder.....
I hate to say it but that Camaro made you look like you were out for a Sunday drive LOL!
I wonder what kind of HP that old school Camaro has though... dude was lifted.... scary.
Lol yes
if i iived in america and had a 18/19 gt,i would just go to steeda and replicate there build, latest times is 10.2@134
Same mods and that's what we are running here in az
11.6 121 trap.. good video
Thanks
Go around the water box, especially with full width front tires. Also, to me it looks like you were out of the groove from the start and all the way down the track. Maybe it's just the camera angle. Looked like you were staging on the left side of the grooves/tracks. Also, might be a tad better if you launched in 2nd gear vs 1st gear.
I will get better
much nicer runs than at that podunk track you went to last time. Nice runs overall though man. congrats on the new best
🔥🔥🔥
You might think about changing the stock half shafts. Stang Mode just snapped his. Keep up the great content. 👍
Dont launch the car over 3k. Problem solved
@@H1GHD3FF Never take your car to a track would be even better but, racing breaks stuff. You can't get a great 60 ft without launching hard and you won't get a good ET without a great 60 ft.
You doing Great but, StangMode Black Mamba Down 😭🐍
Car is running very good. It's hard not to get to caught up in the number. 11's is fast. Just have a good time. I think 50witha50h is right about the water.
Have your tuner dial your line pressure back a little on you're one two and two three shifts
Whats was the weather like.i saw a head wind.what was the da
Not bad really I ran mine at nmra on regular street tires just for fun. 2.6 60ft but it went 12.3 at 118mph these things roll on the other end
One thing I forgot to mention chasing a no is great but remember to have a lot of fun on the ride.
Great run Bro. Keep up the good work. With the Beast 🐎
❤️❤️❤️
Drag radials are a must
I thought those cars were supposed to run that stock. Not sure what track they were at tho. I think it was American muscle on TH-cam.
They are supposed to run 11.7 stock
@@bustinyanutz4195 I've seen 11.83 @ 119 all stock. th-cam.com/video/WW-XYwiIkq0/w-d-xo.html
My buddy ran a 11.4 with just a drag radial racestar wheel setup and tune. No headers or intake or xpipe yet. Those big ass wheels are hurting you.
agreed
Good job bro. I’d go for a full drag tire if your chasing that 10. Can’t wait for it to start warming up so I can get back to the strip! I will live through you and Stangmode until then....well once he fixes his half shafts that is ;) cheers
brother 120 mph is knocking on the door. you almost there with what you have.
At least its as quick as a stock 485 hp SRT8 1320 edition Challenger.
Cool video great runs at the track.
Thanks
3800 lbs, 560 crank hp/498 whp, running about as quick as a 30 hp lower 475 hp C6 Z06
Switch out the nitto radials for mickey thompson radials..
stay positive bro that car has a lot of potential.
Looks like fun!
Dang it I thought that was you that wheelied.
David Van Voris It was a Camaro get your eyes examined LOL
Redeye Knight was obviously a joke
Lol
Good start 👍🏾
Your 60ft is very good that time is abt right with your hp. With some weight reduction and some MT tires low 11 are possible before i traded my 18 GT for the GT350 with less hp but better tires and suspension best time was 11.48 at 121 with a 1.78 60ft
Get in the groove.. Always stay in the dark grooves thats where the rubber is.
We tried. The car was kicking out. It was said in the video
@@Zander13Productions yeah I get that but your chances are always better in the groove. Also the nitto tires are really not a good option for a vehicle with your kind of power and such hard gear shifts. I would recommend Mickey Thompson drag radials. Good luck to you. Love the channel.
Justin Talley thanks 🙏. ET Street R would be a good choice for me too
There is no rehabilitation for the 1320 addiction !
Nice runs you'll get better👍
Man I’m praying I can get those numbers or better bro. I can’t wait!!!
Looked fun to me! We'll see if the hubby lets me drive ours on the strip! Lol
I can see ur outta the groove on the 2 passes iv seen so far. Still watching
Practice makes perfect. And I need a lot more of it lol
Your definitely going to need gears our torque converter to get into 10,s and more suspension work. 496hp with full weight of car not enough power for 10,s
My boy just got into 10,s with almost same set up but he had gear changed and a lot of seat time.
I fully agree the stall is available now these engines need it more than most if you want 10s and got any money it should be first on the list ( if you have already voided warranty)
Great video no rain for one day. How old are the tires I'm sure even a soft compound gets hard in time.
I’m not sure
Why were you lined up out of the groove? You were WAY to far to the left.
I know
Good thing a stinger wasn’t lined up next to ya!
Lol
Couple of questions:
Were you using the line lock feature?
If you were using the paddles, what were your shift points?
Did you bring the R's up against the converter?
Have you made a pass leaving it in drive and not using the paddles?
4:29 and 7:40 shows that you are way out of the groove and why the car spun as well as drifted to the left. You need to go around the water box with full size radial fronts otherwise you are dragging water that your rears will follow through after you do your burnout.
I had the Same setup and tune as yours. I had 3.15 gears and went 11.25@125. Your is way off. BTW my car made 465 and mph says it all. You are not making 496rwhp. I went a 1.79 60’ and a 7.32@99 in the 1/8 and a 11.25@125 in the 1/4
Get Hoosiers, supercharger and injectors you’ll get 10’s hehe
The track looks badly prepared
Yea thats why that Camaro did a wheelieIf it had been prepped good he would have flipped over backwards LOL
