This song played at my dads funeral because it was his favourite song. Everytime I heard it, it made me happy, now that it’s everywhere I think of my dad and that makes me happy.

For me this hits via mom. My dad was a truck driver and he would always be on the road for 2-3 weeks straight. It was 1988 and mom took courses learning about computers (PC was on the horizon back then) quite far away so me and my sis aged 5 and 3 learned to managed.
Then one weekend, dad had just left and would be back in about 2 weeks and mom told us she has some courses she needs to attend and will be there for 2 days so we are having a sleepover with our neighbors.
She went to see Kate Bush :D And immediately when I heard the song it hit me deep; "Oh mom always listened to this"

My mother died from liver cancer. Coming back home after seeing her for the last time, my dad turned on the radio in the car and this song came on. I never related so much to a song in my life. Now I cry everytime I listen to it. Thank you Kate Bush.

I'm 28 and just discovered Kate Bush a couple years ago randomly coming across her first hit Wuthering Heights. I was so impressed I had to listen to her entire discography and now she's one of my favorite artist ever.
It's one thing to be great at singing, dancing, and performing while producing and writing all of her own music but the fact she could do all of that in a unique way is why I consider her one of the most talented artists I've ever come across.

I heard this from Stranger Things 4, I was literally crying when all of Max’s memories were playing. The music came on and everything changed, she escaped Vecna’s grip🥹

The beauty of it is she had been playing it the whole season, a foreshadowing of what was to come. Haven’t thought about it hard enough to decipher if it was meant to signify maxs inner feelings of wishing she didn’t have to go through what was in front of her and desperately wishing to trade places with the other but toughed it out, or if it was a metaphor for how the rest of the cast felt so guilty and wished they could have been the one instead of her. Either way, fucking amazing buildup and incredible thematic choice. Props to the writers 🙌

This song is phenomenal, I honestly don't care what anyone says. I can somewhat relate to it on a level, my parents haven't watched stranger things but they know Kate Bush and I didn't before the show so I told them that this song was on it and told me that they didn't like it and I honestly don't know why. It's such a beautiful and powerful song, it's been stuck in my head since May 27th because Sadie Sink wouldn't stop listening to it and hey I'm not complaining I love the song so much. Would play this everyday in summer in 2022 whenever I'd meet my old friends.. they got tired of it but never got mad at me for blasting and screaming it and running around. Out of all the versions of Running up that Hill I listened to.
This one is my favorite. I listened to it years ago, and somewhat half forgot about it, I would somewhat replay snippets of it in my head. But couldn't find it again.
And I rediscovered it just a little while ago. (yes, you guessed how) And I can't say I was unhappy about it.
And I gotta say... the feel is so much better when I play it with my walkman. (Tapes have somewhat of an... nostalgic yet pleasant thing to them).

This song reminds me of being a child and going through crap - wishing I could swap places with my friend whose family were not as dysfunctional. This song is sooo good. I'd not heard it before Stranger Things. Hearing it after watching the very last episode of S4, impacts me in such a real way, it chokes me tha hell up! My 20 yr old daughter is ABSOLUTELY FRIGGIN' OB-SESSED with it. Like she's listened to it so much since we watched the Max scene, that she received a "congrats" text from Spotify. Why you may ask?
