Raika's probably my favorite rival in all of the card game animes I've watched, dude wasn't some crazy only winning matters kind of person, we just met him at the time he was going super hard at the game because his idol was in the tournament. the moments where he joins in the stupidity with the other characters like them going straight to the card shops instead of where they're supposed to go is always a treat
I always kinda felt like his character arc was him realizing he didn’t need to take things so seriously like at the start he kinda does feel like the whole “winning is all that matters” is gonna be his personality but it’s not it’s just that he loves the game so much that he actually takes it as seriously as he can because he wants to be a pro like the rest of the people around not only because he’s extremely talented at it but also due to his love for it it’s why during deluxe he disregards yuyu and the gang, he sees them as a bunch of idiots who treat his game like a joke but thats not the case they just love it a different way and even the other professionals in the tourney try and show him that I really loved how they treated his character and didn’t make him a one dimensional asshole
Now hear me out. If Youthberk was in Final Fantasy (14 to be specific) he would be a Dragoon. He flies (or Jumps stupidly high) he wears plate armor and his style is aggressive so a DPS.... but the biggest giveaway is that ALL his weapons have been polearms thus he is a lance user.
