De Beer: Daggers flying in MK, Gayton’s good battle strategy, political enemies on coffee dates…

  • In a wide-ranging, pre-election preview, United Independent Movement (UIM) President Neil de Beer torpedoes rumours of a Multi-Party Charter (MPC) collapse; gives his take on the daggers flying in former President Jacob Zuma’s MK party; and hails Patriotic Alliance (PA) President Gayton McKenzie’s combat strategy, saying the “Green Machine” is moving down to the Cape like an “oil slick” and has left the Democratic Alliance (DA) overwhelmed by the Brown Child Revolution. He discusses a post-election three-faction scenario comprising the MPC, the RET (Radical Economic Transformation), and the African National Congress (ANC). “And the question is, whom of those three are going to have coffee with whom, except I know they already having coffee.” However, De Beer vows that his UIM party would never form a government with the ANC or the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). “Then we go it alone. We cannot sit with this country's fiscal, economical enemy.”

Well Gayton is coloured, so he already has an advantage for Cape Muslims to be more understanding with him even if they disagree. The DA however is very white and the last straw for many was them taking a side. So best believe that Mckenzie has an advantage that the DA will never have. When Gayton disagrees with them, it's like a family member disagreeing with you, but when the DA disagrees with them, it's like an outsider disagreeing with you

Thank you, Niel for a brilliant synopsis and status quo of all the political parties. Also hi-liting the various possible outcome scenarios.
It is unfortunate that at this juncture of our democracy, we have a very immature voter profile that still vote with their hearts and not their heads. Which speaks to our current education curriculum because political education should start at basic education level at schools.

And what have you got against BRICS? And especially Russia - which dumped communism decades ago, unlike the bs propaganda pushed by msm. Have you done any research post 1990? 20 000 new churches, theology schools full, pro-family, anti gmo, pro-male, pro-white, almost 15 000 South African farmers given refuge and land, massive American City developments going on, the BRIC part already have a higher gdp than G7 - the list continues.

Not necessarily. Yes they will shed support with such a move initially, but the ANC will absolutely implode within the next 5 years and might even disappear entirely before the next national election. Their centre will not hold if they can't keep the feeding frenzy going and with the DA co- governing, they wont be able to. In the long run it could work out great for the DA. However the DA shouldn't go it alone without the MPC.

Yes, he got those two right, hit the nail on the head. DA has been too arrogant, the colored people have been keeping them in power in the western cape, which they have not served well because of arrogance, so, unfortunately, they will have to learn that lesson now or in 2026. What they need to realize as well, is that they have to stop insulting PA and its leader, because that is just fueling the colored people even more. But their arrogance again will be the death of them. Unfortunately for them, the caucasian population will not be able to keep them in power in the western cape anymore, it's just simple stats, they do not have the numbers. Humble yourselves DA leaders, and stop insulting the people, because the people are the ones keeping you in power. Without them, you cannot rule.

The anc + EFF coalition is what you are going to have if anc doesn't get 51% on the 29th of May, you can make as much noise as you can but that's a reality you are going to be faced with, the EFF has already prepared itself for that possibility and put forth their conditions, this I will never work with anc nonsense is not going to assist anyone who is serious about politics in South Africa.

Neil de Beer is always interesting and insightful and I'm 90% of the way to voting UIM. About the possibility of civil chaos.. he's off the point.
If things go badly for those with the keys to the petty cash box and they then call in markers from deployed cadres in SSA, SAPS, SANDF and the Civil Service then we're in for something close to revolution - even if only for a while. The geographical and GEO-political location of Mzansi will be irrelevant. Ref: The BN segment with General Roland De Vries 2 weeks ago.
Saffas are hungry, unemployed, desperate and irritated. There are possible trigger events looming and there is a very clear and capable segment of our population which will not stand idle if threatened.

I don't think they missed the Isreal/Palestine issue...reality is DA hasn't transitioned to being a party for ALL they still have racist entrenched ideologies. This is also evidenced by the state of areas outside the suburbs. In terms of governance roads etc definitely ahead of the ANC. In terms of having the interests of ALL South Africans perhaps only the some of the white minority resonates with them. They missed an opportunity to lead by delivering results for the majority within the western cape. ANC, EFF rely on invoking fear en racism. If DA had a good report card that would have fallen flat. DA is definitely lost the majority in western cape. Let's hope ANC sees the same fate in other areas.

The substandard teaboy’s and teagirls they’ve employed to pull the wool over people of colours’ eyes is not working anymore. They actually need to start fixing shit in townships and the cape flats. The DA is the NP is sheep skin and they are kak at running the Western Cape, they will keep losing support because of this.

Noel deBeer, I have stood many times, on the opposite side of things. However, politics and bigotry aside. You have good morals and a resounding faith in God. So do I. Since childhood. I see a man, frustrated with the current state of affairs. I see a man much like myself. So, having said it straight. I ever a man walked from one side of an aile to stand with you, in the center, one man and another man for the good of everyone, then with you I will stand. As a former soldier, as am I, You should have a deep understanding of this, a soldier fights for the man standing next to him, and holds him up when he falls. So if you ever need outside help. Opposite sides in the past, where it belongs, because the real fight is now and I can see character in you. I care nothing for money, I care about character, because money or not, character cannot be purchased. When a country is up against it, it's men of character than pull it through. I'm on your side. May god bless you, and forward your path. He works in mysterious ways. Love and respect to you.
