Let’s face it. Gimenez was all glove and little offense. The Gards need offense !!! They have plenty of guys on the roster who can play second base and hit at or above Gimenez levels. Besides, it’s a great salary dump for their bottom line. PS Rocchio should be next. We need offense!!!
Great move! You don’t pay that much money for defense in this day and age! It’s an offensive driven game and you shouldn’t be paid hundreds of millions bc you make a few nice defensive plays. Good to have all that money back and hopefully invest it in getting that Japanese pitcher! Wishful thinking I know, but one can hope! Great move by the FO imo!
