    I legit bought one of these keyboards last month just so I could use your sounds, and this just made the purchase 10× more worth it so thanks my guy!

      I'm on the fence but this guy's patches are a game changer. My concern still is someone said you can only change one sound at a time. But that doesn't make much sense.

    Wow, “rubberett” is possibly the best sounding FM e.piano I have ever heard. I wonder if there’s a way to recreate it on a DX7. Great job with all these!

    Wow more superb patches. You make this gem sing literally. Poly octave is phatter than big mama. And Wah lead is incredible. They should have had you designing the presets in 2015. This marvellous little synth would bace sold alot more.

      Made me buy one after 7 years of thinking about it lol. Sometimes you just need the right person to get hold of a certain synth to show its potential. And Tom is that person along with another guy called Pixelorb. Who has made some excellent patches too.

Impossibly fanboy, aren't you? -:) [Me too] You're very inspiring, I love to program the dx from the scratch, too, but your patches are simply amazing starting points to have hours of fun playing with the editor. Love, AJ

    Love your work. I can't wait until you get your hands on an Opsix.

    • @fender1000100
      @fender1000100 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Opsix isn't as good as the DX. It's more complicated to most. And they won't ever used it in the same way. The DX makes FM much more immediate and fun. Thats why we are hearing great custom sounds. You would never have heard on the original DX7. It makes you want to program. The opsix is alot deeper and more complex. And in a world of lazy synth users. Few will ever go far beyond the presets. The DX is the perfect balance of sonic capability and user friendliness.

    I think you are the reason why I will buy the reface dx^^, absolutely love your sounds. The soundmondo app is great and there are plenty of awesome sounds, BUT why are there only 32 memory slots in the reface dx? I mean there is this great Soundmondo system, but you can only store 32 sounds, doesnt make any sense for me.

    • @fender1000100
      @fender1000100 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've never heard 32 absolutely amazing sounds on any synth. You will get 15 to 20 killer sounds. And the rest will simply be variants. So 32 is plenty.

    The vocal sound is really good. Could you do a video showing how you did it?

    • @TomAnsinkVideos
      @TomAnsinkVideos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Vocal like patches on Fm synths generally have a high fixed frequency sound init, and than the basic sound often has some type of vibrato (LFO). To get the sound somehow like a voice its tweaking the input gain from a stacked operator and trying different frequecies against eachother.(like most sounds) I always go a bit by ear ,it comes a bit down to your criteria with programming sounds ,similar to writing a song.

    Wow! Have you tried making patches for the Elektron Digitone (Keys)? I would definitely be interested :)

    • @TomAnsinkVideos
      @TomAnsinkVideos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Its funny how they just sticked a keybed on the side of the module.

    • @QuentinLamerand
      @QuentinLamerand 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TomAnsinkVideos yeah well it’s not so bad except the pitch and mod wheels that are on the other side. It’s clearly the lazy choice so they had not to redesign the PCB.
      But the keybed is good quality and has aftertouch. The extra dedicated knobs and separate outputs are cool as well.
      Anyway, the Digitone engine is really special and I’m sure you would make awesome patches with it.
