A Day Before Us looks like a Japanese anime from a different t perspective. But I think I remember that before A Day Before Us, there was a South Korean/Japanese anime that was based on the live-action South Korean drama, but I forgot the name of it. Probably it is now the start of the Second Age of Modern South Korean Animation.

Ya know something, I believe I was watching South Korean cartoons before, in the 2000s. Many of these are anime-influenced or animesque cartoons. One is called Mask Man, the others that I forgot their names and not so clear to remember, has kids with shadow beasts spirits, one where a part of the other realm merge with the other part of Earth, one is an animated movie set in the distant future and the world was submerged, a Pretty Cure-esque cartoon, and lastly another cartoon called Dreamkix. Many of them are bad to good, but I think all of them are far better than the South Korean anime of the 70s (like that Wonder Woman rip-off), 80s and 90s (like Red Hawk). The only legit South Korean anime of the 2000s is Ragnarok the Animation, although they work together with a Japanese studio. Now I'm hoping you will review Ragnarok the Animation. I think the 2000s can be considered as the First Age of Modern South Korean Animation.

Though I do have the inkling to see Sage and Noah perform that end theme to Diatron 5 with nothing more than a cymbal and a button to make that synth riff at the end of the verse, ending badly when Noah picks up the cymbal and starts headbutting it in a meltdown induced by the God awfulness of the tune and memories of the God awfulness of the anime.
Hello I can confirm that the voice actors were having a really good time. The king's voice is based on a drunk old man. It may help to consider that the voices were inspired by American cartoons such as hanna barbara , rather than Japanese anime. So all the voices have a goofy sound because, to the audio engineers, that's what cartoons should sound like. The voice actors were all in their early twenties.
And yes, the sexual nature of bifams revenge is intentional. Remember, the voice actors were people in their early twenties in the Bay area California who were trying to make this funny, because to them, cartoons should be funny

His voice as well as my mother's voice and my uncles voice and some of their friends are featured on this film. I have spoken to him a lot about this movie throughout my life and my upbringing. I used to watch the movie everyday.

Another little tidbit is that before this venture was shut down they were working on a sort of a sequel to diatron 5 called Gorvarian.

If you look up that band, that is the audio engineer of this movie! At the time that he was involved in the audio engineering of this film he had a rock band called HotRok.

None of them were fans of Japanese anime and so they probably didn't know that it was a poorly constructed movie. Honestly this was the only Japanese or Korean anime movie that I ever saw for my entire childhood. The next anime movie that I saw was fist of the North Star when I was like 12. So, to me it was an awesome movie and so my opinions of it are colored by that. I never saw it as a piece of garbage or as a poorly made movie. I just liked hearing my dad's voice. I felt proud and inspired. I don't know about sound design choices per se. But the poor overall quality of the sound is due to the final dubbing of the tapes so there was distortion and poor EQing. But that couldn't be helped because that was done by someone else. Again, imagine that these guys are emulating GI Joe and He-Man and Hanna-Barbera. The small run of hoska entertainment films were my dad's first and final attempts at sound engineering for film. He is a talented sound engineer when it comes to live sound as well as record engineering. He actually ran a correspondence school for sound engineering in the late 1980s. For some reason I don't remember the name of it right now (I think it was called the recording experience) but I received all of my first audio equipment from him including a bunch of beat up Shure sm58s.
I actually FOUND a copy of Daitron 5 at a local pawn shop recently. Didn't buy it, because I don't make a habit of buying things I know I won't ever use, but I found it. I was like, "Huh. I know what this is."
So the robot pilot of Diatron-3 is named "Biphon". Yeah, he's Vifam, as in the main mech in Sunrise's "Ginga Hyoryuu Vifam/Round Vernian Vifam". They even fucking ripped off Round Vernian Vifam, and turned that series' titular mech into a two-legged Scrappy-Doo shithead? I have to watch Vifam now, just to purge Diatron's idiocy... *EDIT THE FUCK... strawberry ice cream? my brain just flamed out, man. XD
