Actually, this is a norwegian adaptation of "der heimliche aufmarsch" which was written in 1927 and the melody was added in 1931. So yeah, predates East Germany by like 15 years
You can hear similar Lyrics and melodies everywhere in Communist movements, a better example is warzawianka, search "warzawianka in (language)" and you will find it.

This song is quite a mix. It's Socialist, but Anti-Soviet and NATO while also being Nationalistic. "Der Heimliche Aufmarsch" speaks of a "World Socialist Republic" hearkening back to the Internationalist sentiment of early Socialist movements that went the wayside after Stalin started Socialism in One Country. Instead they say "Socialist Norwegian Republic". Much better than the outdated and idealistic Internationalist belief imo. Socialism does not need to come at a sacrifice to national identity and pride.

As someone learning *Bokmål* Norwegian, I could easily hear something was off. Well that something is Nynorsk. This is not what the majority speaks in Norway. Nynorsk is a minority (though 2nd offical language) language group and Bokmål is the most spoken.

Hmmm this sounds familiar
True socialism and communism has the world working together against imperialism, fascism, and capitalism. Soviet-style communism did some things right, but were very imperialist. It is a little understandable that they got invaded by Germany twice in the span of three decades (three if you count Napoleon). But that gives a country really no right to assert its control over another like what the Soviets did to Eastern Europe. That is essentially imperialism. And NATO, we are not even going to talk about them because most of us know what their aim was in this time period.
