So basically all this is is a smart bulb that costs 30 bucks? I mean the control of it seems identical to how I control my smart bulbs. Almost seems you could buy a smart bulb for 15 bucks or less, put it in a small desktop base and do the same thing

You could, this is more Kid friendly than that, but essential you could do the same thing with a bulb and a small lamp.
