- The results from Metal Detecting UK! Many of you have requested that I make a video of my BEST metal detecting finds so here it is - all found with the XP Deus Metal Detector and Garrett Ace 250 Metal Detector over the last 10 years or so!

Wow Ally! No wonder those are special to you. They all look like they were minted last year! Such detail and clarity. That was an interesting story of how you named Tasci. My Jack will bark at vehicles that drive by on the road. I am quite a distant from the road, so great fun to run down there barking.Have a marvelous weekend!

That was really intresting ,especially the celtic coins, it gives people hope that one day, you never know.
almost all the celtic coins i have found have been complete stand alone finds i.e i have never found anything else in the near vicinity!!!!! So definite hope! Thanks for watching John

Hey Alex. Love the denarius I found my first Roman silver this weekend. A denarius of Faustina junior Augusta wife to Marcus Aurelius plus a silique of julianus absolutely over the moon
Good work Alex! Nothing beats a bit of roman silver ... perhaps a bit of Roman gold but I wouldn't yet know how that feels! 😁

i swear I didn't do that on purpose I didn't even realise i had used the wrong photo til you said I didn't know what you were talking about!!!!!!!!!!!! 😆 My God editing is complete tunnel vision isn't it; I' must have watched that through 20 times before rendering it... I had both coins out as i was comparing them but didnt realise i used the wrong one to photo!!! Thanks for letting me know! Hope all well!
Wow! Can’t wait for part II. Thank you for sharing. I once found a half gold stater. I couldn’t quite believe it. It was a miserable day, cold windy and raining slightly. My boots were thick with clay mud and ping there was the signal. It came out of the ground shining beautifully and I could feel the weight. I’ll never forget it.
I can completely imagine it!!!! It often happens that way doesn't it - its iust hard to explain - well done Richard!

I cleaned my black silver romans because I like them to be how they looked when first made 😁
I like mine looking "original" too - don't over clean or polish though!
Thoroughly enjoyed that just a dream for me to find coins of that age👍but I keep trying because one day it may happen 👍👏👏👏more of these would be great 👍

Five gems Alexander. Your Julia Domna is RIC 562, RSC 117, struck 205 AD. The reverse is the Goddess Cybele in the quadriga. The black tone may be due to the debasing of the coin, as by 205 the silver content was below 78% compared to 93% just 50 years before. If you could have selected 50 coins, perhaps a ten part series? Great to see Tasci. I hope his sniff of the gold brings you luck in future expeditions.

Well found Alex! The sceat wins it for me. I have found a very similar gallo-belgic quarter stater and a Julia Domna denarius but my collection has a big gap between Roman and King Richard

i had to watch this amazing episode again! yesterday i was out in the sunshine and was super lucky to find a tasciovanos 'bearded warrior type silver celtic unit. with bare chested warrior on horseback. i must say watching your vlogs really inspires me to go out hunting so much. all the best for the next dig...

I found my 1st gold 4 months in then my 2nd 11 months in ,then 6 years passed and found 3 gold on the same day lol but a hoard for roman artifacts in-between

Fabulous video, Alexander. Not only are the finds so special in themselves, but your commentary on each of them is hugely interesting. I think, like you, I'd go for the silver Roman if I had to choose one. Its condition is breathtaking.

I’m coming to the Old Dart in September, and my sister in law has kindly tee’d up a couple of permissions for me down in Devon, just have to hire a detector. Hi Alexander, I don't know if anybodys said it before...but I think you will find the Julia is a limes denarius, I have a black septimus Severus with Minerva holding spear and shield on the reverse...it's black and the quality is similar to your Julia. So research limes denarius 👍👍

Wow that's very very impressive I must say I would love to find it gold Ottoman coin over here but probably a bit unlikely finding anything old and gold on the beaches here is difficult

Heck yeah most impressive! Thanks for sharing and makes all those hours of hard digging worthwhile. Stuff surely accumulates. If ya ever need help digging I need a reason to cross the pond.
Ha BC I will deafly keep that in mind thank you! And it really does make hours of digging worth while doesn't it sometimes you can go for four, five hours and find nothing and then suddenly on your way back to the car… hope all well!

Wow!! 🤩 Thank you for sharing. A wide variety of coins from different periods of British history. Incredible condition on all. I really envy those celtic coins. I have actually found a denarius and two anglosaxon coins here in Norway. However, i doubt celtic currency will ever appear. Looking forward to part two. 👍

Beautiful coins Alex. No standard hammered coins in your list, which surprises me,as you have so many, but then if I had gold Celtic coins the hammered might get downgraded in my mind too 😎
keeping it down to five was really hard and none of the hanmmered, however wonderful and i suspect a couple quite rare had the X- FACTOR!!!! ( you will NEVER guess what i just found this morning!!!!!!! So odd as i think i said in the video i was yet to find one.....!!! (not roman gold btw rats!)

@@HolzhammerLite I have done that before (thought of something I really wanted to find) and found it on my next dig. Very weird. Doesn't work with gold though for me.
